I had purchased an item from Advance Automotive in Key Largo. After an employee from Advance looked at my problem he suggested that I go to Price Automotive for service. I followed their advice and went to Price Auto in Tavernier, Florida. It's not often that you can say that it was a great experience however it ceratainly was. Had a relay replaced for lights and was charged the same amount of time it took to change the shocks. Recieved a call telling me my battery was bad, when I told them no it wasn't, they told me they put the meter on it and it wasn't bad. I told him I had just replaced the battery and he reiterated the meter said it was bad, but should be under warranty and should be replaced. I did not change my battery, and 3 months later is still starting every time. read more

I experienced a tire failure while on vacation in Tavernier. I consulted Price who confirmed I needed a new new tire. They suggested I buy all 4 but that was obviously not necessary. I opted to purchase 2 new rear tires. Bobby at Price offered many choices. I chose Kenda but got little in the way of recommendation or support for my choice. The tires arrived a day later than promised, which spoiled a day of vacation. But they were mounted quickly and expertly. Prices were typical, neither good nor bad. The tires they sold me were second tier models, and more than a year old. I'd have preferred newer ones. Phone communication was very good. There is no waiting room there so one is left to wander the streets while repairs are being made. read more

These guys started out as seemingly trustworthy, genuine, and charged reasonable rates. Over the last couple years they have turned out like most car repair companies in the Keys, nasty attitudes, upsell things that have already just been repaired, not putting the proper size tires on, and much more. I had a tire leak over the weekend in Key Largo, Fl. I took my rental car to Price Automotive in Key Largo Fl. I got there 15 minutes before they were supposed to be open, but they were already opened. I talked to Chris in the front office and told him my problem. At first he said it would be three hours before they could get me in to fix. I asked him would there be anyway to get in sooner. He said let me take a look at the tire. We had the BEST experience here I'm not one to go out of my way and write reviews like this but Eddie took such good care of us I cannot express it enough. We have an old bus, she's got some miles on her.. converted her into a tiny home and sold everything we owned and moved in to start our travel adventure. We were taking it to a different mechanic who always put us last, kept us waiting for months, and would tell us we were good to go when we weren't. Tried another mechanic in key largo, they told us it's 100$ just to look at it! They then told us they wouldn't touch our bus and good luck having anyone work on it anywhere else. Scott recommended us to Price Auto, Frank and Eddie fixed her up like it was their own. After a couple breakdowns Eddie took our bus back without hesitation and found the source again and again. I can't believe there is only one review on this business. FANTASTIC! I drove into Eddie's garage after driving 45MPH all the way to the Florida Keys from the airport due to a transmission that suddenly had only one forward gear. I had been to his shop once before with a slow tire leak and they got right on that one. But this was major and there are no dealers in the Keys, so I didn't know what to expect. Eddie's right hand man Al was there and promised to look at it the next day, Friday. The next day they did the diagnostics and said they would order the part and have it done on Monday. They called me at 4PM to pick up the car. Eddie and Al are most friendly and helpful, and the work comes with a two year parts and labor warranty. "Take it to your Dealer instead." I have never been one "complain" about any form of service for my car, but Price Automotive told me my car was safe to drive felt like a false advertisement. Price Automotive could not determine why my vehicle was shaking, yet they insisted it was my Transmission; go figure. Tito (the shop manager) claimed that they kept referring to their "computer" rather than physically inspecting my car as any resourceful mechanic would do to complete their job. They changed every aspect called on their "computer" but failed to fix my breaks. ONE month later, my car was taken to Ford because of the engine light coming on AGAIN. After spending over 1,000$ at Price Automotive, there was no way that I could trust them and bring my car into them. Ford told me that my Transmission was in pristine condition and that the only issue with my car was a gas valve, and that my tires were causing a strain to my engine. But the worst of it was how ERODED my breaks were. Price automotive claimed that my car was "safe to drive," yet they did not do a FULL inspection with my vehicle. By the GRACE of God, I did not get into an accident. Could you imagine after getting into a car crash with not having breaks that are usable?! After I went to Ford, I called the shop and talked to the store manager Tito; not only was he rude and tried to make me feel brainless, but he claimed that it was so "unprofessional" for Ford to say that it was not my Transmission. read more
