Then I had him enclose my garage which included building closets and opening up walls to add French doors. Sheet rocking, painting, and trim work was done also. The project we just did was replacing an ugly bathtub with a shower enclosure. The area was torn down to the studs and redone. The tile floor was also replaced with nicer tile. Most of the time if you go to a place like Home Depot, Lowes, or a general contractor like State Wide Remodeling (or others) they simply sub out the work and double the price. He took the countertops off in my kitchen then realized he couldn't match the countertops to the island countertop. He also installed countertops different than what I had selected. The trim on the kitchen island has already come off (less than 3 months after completion). Instead of installing toe kicks he put in baseboards which do not go all the way up and now there is a gap under my kitchen cabinets which lets in quite the breeze when it is cold. I told him about all of my issues and he didn't care. He didn't bother to even 'try' and fix anything that I had issues with and just got his money and walked away. I hate the way my kitchen turned out and told him that to no avail.

He gave us an estimate in October for a remodel of our kitchen and master bath, as well as for upgrades throughout the house, which we needed before we put it on the market. We knew we wouldn't be ready to start work until the end of December, but he and his workers worked around our schedule. Joseph even went with me to pick out tile, and helped by suggesting the most up-to-date and popular "looks." The "demo" started in January and, as expected, things got changed and added as we started getting everything installed. Joseph was extraordinarily responsive to our needs and our desires, always offering explanations, alternatives, and suggestions whenever a problem or question arose. We ended up with a "new" master bathroom, new flooring almost throughout the house, a whole new look to the kitchen, and so much more! The whole house was painted (including the 2-story-high ceilings in the family and office spaces), the deck and pergola were stained, our new front door was made and installed to our specs, new main area ceiling fans and lighting, and new hardware and fixtures throughout the house.
