I have two brothers (Asian shorthairs) who Michael and the lovely, gracious Marixa have taken care of for the last ten years. I cannot tell you the peace of mind and security they provide when they sit for my cats. With each visit, they clean the litterbox and feed the guys, play with them, and then provide a detailed email report of how the visit went. Sometimes I get videos of her and she looks like she is having the time of her life. The best part about Lucky Dog is that they have a great outdoor space, so the dogs get to be outside. Charlie is extremely responsive via text or email and it is easy to pay to your bill. Since we live in the building, we get a discount and they even pick up and drop off our dog every day. I was later asked to change it to 10:00 AM, and I agreed, making it very clear that I could not do any later than 10:00. Then, at 9:56 AM, I received a call telling me the groomer would be another 20 minutes late because they had another appointment. My appointment had already been moved once to accommodate their schedule, so this was completely unacceptable. When the groomer still hadn't arrived, I called several times for an update, but my calls were repeatedly declined. Instead of communicating professionally, I eventually received a text saying the groomer was no longer comfortable providing the service. They wasted my time, showed no respect for a scheduled appointment that had been booked a month in advance, ignored my calls, and then canceled after keeping me waiting. If a customer had treated them this way, they would likely charge a cancellation or no-show fee. Customers deserve the same respect for their time. I cannot recommend a business that is this unreliable and unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Several minutes later the groomer came out and said they couldn't get the stain off of him. She informed me they were doing construction in the back and he was laying on the floor under it. The conversation got worse and worse from there. She told me "it was likely something from the air conditioner and she didn't know what it was but it definitely wasn't dangerous." She then casually said if they couldn't get it off I wouldn't have to pay for the grooming.... as if he was a sweater that got stained at the dry cleaner. They ended up giving him two more baths and getting most of it off with Dawn dish soap... which is what they use to take oil spills off of sea creatures. My dog was unsupervised, laying in construction chemicals and came out from his grooming stained. After all of that, they still charged me and barely apologized. I was a regular customer for several years and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Needless to say we have never been back.

I don't even know where to begin with our love for D is for Doggy! My dog Simon started here when…read morehe was about 4.5 months old. I was nervous at first, but after a short trial run, we were both completely hooked! Now, at a year old, Simon has practically grown up at D is for Doggy, visiting several times a week. One of the things I love most is being able to check in on him throughout the day, and seeing how happy and exhausted he is after a full day of play is priceless. But the absolute highlight is that Simon can't even walk by the place without begging to go inside! When I drop him off, he literally runs to each staff member, tail wagging, full of excitement and joy. It's such a relief knowing he's in excellent hands, having the best time, while I'm at work. His social skills with other dogs have grown tremendously, and I credit that to his time at D is for Doggy. We also get Simon groomed here by Prae, and she's just incredible! His last grooming was so relaxing for him, he actually fell asleep. Every haircut has been perfect, and you can tell how much love she puts into her work. We are beyond grateful for the care and affection Simon receives at D is for Doggy--it truly feels like a second home for him!
