Places like this are why I love Yelp. Pride auto care doesn't look any different than your average auto shop, and it was farther away than some of my other options, but the service was definitely worth paying to have my car towed a few extra miles. I know my way around cars, and have been working on them since I was a kid. When I have the time and the tools, I still do most of my own repair and maintenance, so believe me when I say that these folks are doing the work correctly for the price that it costs to do it properly. They were upfront and transparent about what I needed, what it would cost to do it, and how long it would take. They replaced the hydraulic clutch assembly in my rusty old Bronco for considerably less than I expected to pay, and they did great work. A couple weeks later, when I lost part of my shift linkage (not through any fault or negligence on their part), I had it towed back and they fixed it completely free of charge! My car is a rusty old tub, and I know from bitter experience that every single nut and bolt on the thing fought them tooth and nail, but they still provided friendly and professional service. I have now moved even further away from Pride auto care, and I'm sure that there are other competent shops much closer to home, but these people have earned my business. This place owns the mr.transmission next door. Brought my F150 in 3 times after having an electrical issue on the trans. I knew what part was the problem after rebuilding my trans myself and had the issue fixed was done in 3 days all good. Took my truck home and was happy with my purchase. I checked the transmission fluid after 2 days just to make sure and there was no fluid on the dipstick. One of their mechanics had failed to read the dipstick that says check while running and just filled it when it was off. I took it back to have them fill it because I had bought 60 dollars of Mercon V for the transmission and filled it myself before the repair. I asked them to reuse the fluid cause it was new so I don't know how they underfilled it. Anyways they fill it and I check it when I get home and the fluid is dirty. The fluid was cherry red when I put it in and it now looked 100,000 miles old. I'm gonna replace the fluid and change the filter soon to combat this issue that should've never happened. But wait that's not all! The bolts on my trans pan were over torqued and the electrical connectors just had the protective sheathing hanging off. All things that take less then 10min to do properly. For $450 what a ripoff and a cheap ass job never taking any of my family's vehicles here again. I shouldn't have to fix what I am paying you to do. No parts were replaced this is all labor charges. read more

Ugh...car repairs. Just even mentioning the two words "car" and "repair" in the same sentence can make give you a migraine. I needed a fuel injector replaced on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and finding a trustworthy mechanic is tough. Thanks to the previous reviews on Yelp, I think I found my mechanic. Dropped off my car via the early bird method, that's leaving it overnight and dropping the keys in a drop box. I was called the next morning and told me they'd get right on it. An hour and a half later, they called again to give me a description of what needed to be done and at what cost. I had the fuel injector replaced and my crankcase seal replaced as well since it was leaking oil. They had my Jeep done by 5pm the same day. That night was a very snowy and miserable outside, not fit for man or beast to walk. No worries, they came by with my fixed Jeep and picked me up! Now that is going the "extra mile"...-snort, haha, knee slap-....uhhh...I couldn't help myself. When it comes to service, two things matter the most to me, the job getting done right the first time and promptness. Pride Auto Care passed the test with flying colors! Thanks Pride! read more

I went in without an appointment because my car was started shaking as I drove it. They were already busy and booked this morning, but when they found out I couldn't drop my car off and leave they said they would pull it in and look at it. They got it in right away and about 30 minutes later let me nothing was wrong but ice had gotten up on the axels and caused them to be off balance and was shaking the car. They chopped off the ice for me and sent me on my way without charging me a penny and the shaking was fixed. They were incredibly nice and the service was amazing. I really wanted this to be my go to place. I took my Chvey Tahoe in for a Tune up. No problem. Took my Dodge Charger in for a synthetic oil change and new wiper blades 132 bucks! A couple days later Im on the highway after a medical procedure and my car overheats! They did not fill any fluids. I told them it was low when I dropped my car off. If I knew they didn't fill my fluids I wouldn't have drove it. So upset they didn't take the extra time to fill my fluids. Every place I've had an oil change they check and fill fluids. read more

They wanted $146 just for a diagnostic which seemed outrageous. I got the diagnostic code in one minute at an auto parts store for free and had the problem fixed for $300 elsewhere. Al Pridemore and everyone at pride auto care does incredible work. I had to take my vehicle to a dealership because the transmission was acting funny. They quoted me an astronomical number, and that gave me enough time to contact Al and his crew and after they had enough time to look at my vehicle, they determined that it could be repaired for about a third of what the dealership quoted. My wife and I always use them for regular maintenance. They are knowledgeable and honest in their pricing and repairs that are versus are not necessary. read more

First and foremost, I like the honesty of this shop. I know that's always a concern when bringing a car into a mechanic. I brought my vehicle in for a brake repair, a repair I've had completed in the past at a different shop. In the past I was told there was an issue with my brakes that was causing the noise and was charged $800. 2 years later, I bring my car into Pride auto for the same issue, they call me 2 hours later and tell me the brake pads have a groove and were just trapping dirt, no repair needed, just a cleaning, cost me nothing.
