I recently purchased a classic 1972 Pontiac GTO and went looking for a local mechanic that I could feel comfortable working with and was knowledgeable about this particular era. I ended up meeting Tony Trein, Service Director at Pride Auto Care. Tony took me outside and showed me his 79 TransAm with a 455ci HO and Eddelbrock carbs and fired it up- I knew right there I was in good hands. He went over my car from top to bottom and put together a list for me. Together we reviewed that list and he pointed everything out to me in the shop. I was able to make decisions and be involved with every step as we developed a plan and budget to bring the GTO to where I wanted it to be. Tony introduced me to Darrel Pridemore, owner who also took special interest in my classic car as we faced some interesting issues with parts availability. Everyone in the shop from Mark out in front to Travis in the back was absolutely wonderful to work with and I actually looked forward to coming down to the shop and observing the progress as everything came together. The end result is my GTO is once again the Tiger it was meant to be and I was made to feel like they were honored to be given the opportunity to work on the car. I don't know if you guys pay for your reviews or there's a lot of nepotism going on (that means family helping family to all you guys at the shop). I brought in a caliper with a snapped off nut which they charged me $140 to remove. Think they'd give you a heads up? Or maybe try to figure out a way they could do it that didn't cost me three times what I paid for the entire part somewhere else? Fuck no. I don't know if it struck them as weird. I ended up not even using it, getting a different part and fixed myself for 1/3 of what it cost me to have their flunky remove one bolt. I might bring my car there, if I had a gun to my head and was forced. Don't be dump. The only thing these guys have to take pride in is there ability to keep fucking people over and stay open. read more

I have spent Thousands of dollars here but I just felt I was over charged this last time for the following: ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE LEVEL 2 TO REMOVE BROKE TUBO SUBTOTAL: $154.00 FEED LINE BOLT (Not sure if this is the work it took or the amount of time) this issue wasn't broken when I walked into the door it happened during the process. Not blaming anyone just feel I shouldn't have been charged for it bc the issue didn't exist till it was in the shop. They tell you it's btw A-price and B-price and it's always the higher. Everyone is feeling the pain but again the issue wasn't broken when I went arrived. I would still recommend these guys. Just watch the prices. The Team is Great and Workers do Great work. I just started going to Pride Auto Care and cannot begin to explain how capable, helpful and HONEST they are. My first visit was for an ignition switch because my truck was not running smooth. They not only replaced it but told me to drive it for a week to make sure it was running properly before I paid. Well, a few moths later it happened again so I took it in. They told me the switch was bad and replaced it, no charge, because it was under warranty. Easy right? Well they could have easily found something else to get a charge out of me like many others. While checking in with the front desk folks, a young man that worked in the back came out to get a car that was next in line. Another worker berated and belittled him in front of me and his coworkers. He was rude and quite frankly, a bully. I found this hypocritical as PAC "prides" itself on donating to Rachel's Challenge. This bully had an unusual shaved pattern for his hair. I should have said something, but since my car had not gone into the shop yet, I refrained. The owners of this business should put this bully on a PI and let him know that that behavior is not warranted in any circumstance. I really can't say enough about Pride. My husband and I have older vehicles with nice low insurance payments and no loan payments. We want to drive them until they totally croak, but every so often there's a hiccup that needs a look. I fully trust the guys at Pride, after several visits that have ended up being either very low cost or entirely reasonable. They could always suggest tons of work, I'm sure, but they don't, and I appreciate that. They're quick, always friendly, great about communicating - really the only auto care establishment that I've ever trusted. read more

Amazing service! I had been given the runaround by 2 other places. I knew my brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Josh and Joel (I think his name was Joel) were working in front of the front when I arrived to get my car looked at. Rather than "guess" what was wrong like the other locations did, they took the time to actually inspect the problem. They ordered the parts and had them ready the next morning. My car had some mechanical issues requiring it to be towed in. Nick was very helpful. Kept me informed about the progress of the repairs . I communicated that the car wasn't worth much and I had a limit to invest in it. they were very honest about what they thought needed to be done and even suggested that I take the car, drive it and see if their repairs fixed the issues prior to investing more money. The guys at Pride Auto Care are fantastic. They take care of everything on my vehicle. I don't have to worry about them trying to pull a fast one on me because I'm female. I don't feel like I need to check with my husband on the work they recommend. When it's multiple things at once time they prioritize the items so I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars at one time. I'm very thankful a friend recommended pride auto to me. I have a wheelchair accessible van and a week ago Friday I had issues with my door closing and I happen to be at a school I was working at and this happen to be when school got out that I had trouble with the door. I just had an issue with my Subaru Forester and had my car towed to mr transmission they sent my car next door to Pride to do the work as they are partner companies. they sent a tow truck for me and took care of my issue I felt like they did not try to over sell me on anything and fixed my car! I spent nearly 2 years taking my 2003 Kia Sedona to several auto repair places to diagnose a problem with it just stalling out. The computer showed it needed a new transmission, which just didn't make sense to me, given the symptoms.
