Christine is very polite and professional, but not a fit for me as a pet sitter! She has several rules and policies in place which you must follow exactly or she will cancel on you. I was a new client and thought I had Christine lined up to watch my cats over the holidays. But since I did not fill out a very lengthy client profile page COMPLETELY prior to our meet-and-greet (no matter it was mostly complete and two weeks prior to the actual pet sitting appt AND that we had confirmed the appts verbally a couple days before with no mention of this), she cancelled on me. I can appreciate the need for certain policies and her attention to detail (as I'm sure it is applied to pet care as well) but just prefer a pet sitter who is more easy-going and much easier to work with. I am also looking for one who does not charge a key return fee--I don't like the idea of giving someone my house keys to 'keep on hand' or paying them just to get them back. read more

I was so worried about finding someone new who I could trust in my home and trust with my sweet little sheltie, Miss Ryan. I'm single and occasionally travel, so I also need someone who can take her when I'm out of town. Christine and I had an instant connection, and even more importantly, she and my sweet little dog had the same connection. She does geo-location check ins and status updates with Instagram and Facebook, which is great for me to see my dog on her Facebook page, but also a wonderful and practical use of social media marketing. I can't say enough amazing things about Pridey Girl. My dog, Lewis, is incredibly important to me. He is deaf, so he needs a tab bit of extra love and care from people. Pridey Girl came right in and became his best friend! They have full access to my home and take Lewis on potty breaks while I am at work. If I could give Christine and Pridey Girl Pet Care a 1,000,000,000 stars I would! We have a 17 year old kitty and 8 year old pug mix that are our babies. We LOVE them so so so so so much and they are both beyond spoiled hahaha. We have held back on doing more travel because of the guilt and worry about leaving our pets. Well not any longer! I met Christine over two years ago when she became a customer of mine. I knew then that she was such a sweet, loving, warm and compassionate person and we would both chat about how much we love our animals, sharing pet stories with each other. She came in to see me about two weeks ago and mentioned that she had started a pet sitting/walking business and I was BEYOND ECSTATIC! We had talked about her taking care of Lou and Emily when we go on vacation in a month or two WELL we ended up needed her much much sooner. With less than a week's notice we needed her help so we could go to Coachella. We immediately made arrangements for her to come to our home and meet Louie and Emily. She came over the very next day for a meet and greet/snuggle session and they loved her. We went over all of the pet mannerisms, favorite toys, games, treats, food schedule, medications, even down to Louie's fav neighborhood to go poop! haha. Not only that she had us do a complete intake of everything concerning our pets and our home so if there was an emergency she would be prepared. That is just the beginning...we received at least two updates and photos of our babies each day via text (which I love). Louie got two nice long walks each day AND he even got an extra walk one afternoon because she was in the neighborhood (lucky boy!), she cleaned the kitty box even though we said not to worry about it because we would do it when we got home. She even kept a detailed daily check list /log of all care given each day. Plus a very nice hand written thank you note when we arrived home! Louie and Emily almost seemed a little disappointed that it was just us walking through the door today and not there new BFF Christine hahaha. Our babies received the absolute best care, love, attention and lots of snuggles. I knew that they were happy, safe, and loved which allowed this crazy pet owner to relax and actually enjoy my weekend away. This was very convenient, as we've bugged our friends on many occasions. Less stressful on the dogs and less work for us to have a pet sitter come stay with the pups when we went out of town. It seems like a hard job for the pet sitter in a way (having to stay elsewhere), but it is so much better for doggies, who you cannot explain the concept of a boarding kennel to. Our dogs were both rescues so the thought of putting them in a kennel for our vacations is so hard! We haven't done it yet and hopefully never will. Not a fan AT ALL of this pet care service. I had been using them for occasional daycare and for walks when I had a back injury. I had another pet care provider that I preferred (Kari from Home Away From Home Canine Care-awesome 5 stars!!!) and would only use Ceci and Ty when my preferred provider wasn't available. I had been with Ceci and Ty for about 2 years when I made plans for an extended daycare service with them for August 2015 (Kari was going on vacation). These plans were made far in advance, Apr to May timeframe, due to my very hectic work schedule that required me to schedule out 5-6 months. In mid July, Ceci wrote to me to tell me that they had decided to take a family vacation during my time of need and that they would not be able to take care of my beloved....no apology. I was left scrambling to find additional care....thankfully I met folks at Petsmart Hotel in El Cajon (5 stars) to help me out. I found Ceci and Ty's actions very irresponsible and considered that strike one. Had I known that they could not watch my beloved, I would have taken time off work myself, yet they left me in a bind because I could not cancel my patients at work on such a short notice. I then injured my back and hired Ceci and Ty for weekend 2x a day walks only to have problems with them changing pricing on me in the middle of my back crisis without my consent. It felt very much like price gauging (Strike 2). When I questioned their pricing practices and asked to get clarification of a $2 a walk increase they got insulted by my innocent inquiry. They also got upset by my comments that they were getting way too expensive and that I wasn't going to be able to afford them anymore if they continued to raise their prices. I found their response to my inquiry very unprofessional and turned to Yelp to see if anyone else had had similar issues. I asked Ceci and Ty to clarify their 2 star Yelp review (see below) since it seemed similar to the issues I was having with them. Ceci and Ty were horrified that I would ask them to give me their side of the story re: one of their poor reviews and cancelled all future services on me. Oh my goodness!! What made matters worse is that they don't return phone calls and only communicate by email or text. They told me they were too busy to communicate by telephone. Long time clients that are upset about unannounced price increases and last minute cancellations really should be able to communicate by phone. I think had Ceci and Ty taken the initiative to call me to discuss my issues, this one star review wouldn't have occurred. Too bad, so sad. Strike 3, you're out! read more
