The Village Vets - My dog who is now bald because of the horrible grooming service they have.

Village Vets not only has such extremely qualified and knowledgeable veterinarians, but they TRULY…read morecare about their patients. They use the most updated and advanced veterinary technology. If they come across a situation that goes above their level of expertise, they have industry specialists they have experienced working with, that you can feel comfortable referring to, that they either bring in, or will continue communication with as they send you to them. The doctors at Village Vets always, ALWAYS follow up with you after you bring your pet in for something. If you are concerned about an issue, you can count on them to explain things to you, in detail so you understand any decisions you have to make and be completely comfortable making them. You never, ever feel rushed and you feel as if you've made a lifetime friend that you'd literally do anything for. I moved to another side of town where I cannot use Village Vets anymore, yet I still send my pets recent records to them for their opinions or call for advice. (If you decide to do this, please donate to their Sissie Sassie fund which helps those that come into unexpected vet bills for their pets, among other great things! You can call the office for details on how to donate). I have been to 4 different vets in my area, which is a good area, and these vets are considered good vets loved by many. However, they don't come close to what I had at Village Vets and I just have not been able to find that trust or connection which is imperative for pets that are aging or have health issues. Thank you Village Vets for being there for our furry family members!!

I thought maybe they were busy etc. There are quite a few dogs so I blew it off. Go back to the cams a couple hours later. All the dogs are in crates. I called to see where my dog was. They may stay open until 8 pm but apparently your pooch will be crated from 4-8pm. My dog won't be going back.

Unfortunately, I didnt look for a new place after my first negative experience so I'm going to leave a list of what I've seen. 1) in the most recent visit, they did not give my dog his blanket or comfort items the first night he was there. I dropped him off in the early morning, so they had plenty of time to set up. This resulted in me helplessly watching on the cameras as he paced back and forth the entire night. Second night he had his comfort items and slept wonderfully, because that's WHAT THEY'RE FOR. 2) When I picked him up this morning I could hear staff screaming at the dogs from the parking lot. Not the stern voice you have to use sometimes with dogs.... no... they were screaming 3) my dog has pretty upsetting injuries. In the past I have brought him in with his harness and they always print out a laminated collar for him to use during his time there. They didnt do this time and they left the harness on him for DAYS. when I picked him up he has severe chafing and was bleeding from several spots. They said nothing to me. This isnt even the first time he's been injured here. He had a cut so bad on his ear once that it got an infection... again at that point they said nothing. Today, in combination with previous visits this year, have brought me to the internet to urge you (whoever you are) to find somewhere else to take your dog.
