Pedicure lady was good but the water was cold. The biggest problem was when we checked out to pay. We had a birthday discount to use and we're told the only way to get the discount is if we paid cash. Nowhere in the text message we got, did it say anything about the stipulations of using the discount. They should've honored it regardless of the method of payment beings that it was for a birthday. Not a great way to assure a return visit. Won't be back, and neither will the other 4 people we brought in with us. read more

I have been here a few times. It has always been at least 3 stars. This time will be my last. I came in for a shellac manicure. I had old shellac polish that needed to be removed. I have had this done many times. At this location, at least three times. I sat down with a lady who wrapped my nails with cotton and tin foil. I assumed she was going to do my nails. When I showed her the color I wanted, she didn't even acknowledge me. After she wrapped my nails, she asked me to move. She didn't even offer to carry my bag over. I sat unattended for 20 minutes. My nail lady was already working on someone else. Finally an older lady came to finish my manicure. She used a drill to remove the old polish. She used the drill to clean up my cuticles. She used the drill so much that I could feel the burn through my nails. She was taking off my natural nail. I told her it was burning and it hurt. She told me it's fine because I had shellac. I didn't understand that answer but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I mean, she is the professional with a license. Looking back, I wish I would have left then. Fast forward. My natural nails are ruined. It has been 2 months and you can see the damage. It's a slow grow out. My nails are paper thin so I keep them very short. I found a great nail concealer polish called Kur. I learned how to remove the shellac at home. I could not risk going back to that drill again. I may never get shellac again. I know I will never go back to this nail salon. read more

I came in Tuesday 6/19 for a fill-in and i got seated right away and an older started doing my nails. I had showed him the picture that I wanted and he didn't even look at it the picture. He completely rushed it and was super rough on my natural nails to the point where I had to pull my hand away a few times. My nails were uneven I had to even them out when I got home. Also the fact that this was $72 like I didn't even get a design. Overall the experience wasn't the best and I don't recommend going. I came in and asked for a fill, really not too bad. Heather was quiet, but polite for the most part. They are thick where you don't want them to be, and the application was rushed, so they're not shaped the best, but you can't tell in the photos. The tip of one of my nails was going completely to the left. I had her fix it a little, but I fixed it when I got home (the pointer finger). I'm really not one to go to yelp and complain about these things, but her filing technique was completely wrong ( filing straight up and down when you're supposed to go at an angle, so there are flat edges around the bottoms of my nails) one side of my pinky is rounded and full, and the other side is skinny. It's like leaning to the right. I could ignore all of these things if it weren't for the fact that she did not remove my broken pinky nail properly. She tried lifting up the previous gel X with just tools which can ruin your nail bed and the health of the nail overall. I know that nails aren't really the greatest for your nail beds in general, but there are ways to be as protective as possible, and Heather was not attempting to do so. Didn't even fully remove all of the gel x before putting another gel X nail on top of it. They are pretty and I'm not completely upset but when I'm paying a high price for something, I don't wanna have to touch up at home. I wanna leave happy and I don't wanna notice little imperfections. read more

I Always come to Prim nails to have my nails done. I've been getting them done for the last six or seven years here. They have a huge selection of colors- it's hard to chose sometimes! I recently started getting designs, usually inspired by Pinterest images. They've always been able to create what I envision. Today, I had my nails done by Kim. She has tons of intricate designs and is willing to make small edits to them. They turned out awesome! I am absolutely in love and will definitely come back for more fun designs! read more

I've been coming here for years but after my recent visit it's going to be my last. A few days ago I got a dip manicure from Vanessa. Unfortunately the process wasn't smooth and caused me a lot of pain. I agreed to having my cuticles cut and she took it literally. Overworking my cuticles and giving me cuts on almost ALL my fingers. When I told her I was bleeding she told me it was just the color. She ended up giving me a 30% off discount and I'm still sitting at home with infected cuticles... I've been debating whether or not to post this... but there is no excuse for me to have cuts on 8 of my fingers. Take this review how you want. I'm just really disappointed in this salon. read more

Highly recommend this place! My nails were really short and my cuticles were rough at the time but the nail technician Yeu, hopefully I spelled her name right. Did an amazing job. I got a full set with ombré for 75 dollars. She has a keen eye for looking at little details, making sure everything looked perfect. I love how she looked at my nails in multiple angles to make sure it was smooth. Highest quality full set I've ever gotten and was really surprised because I'm rather picky with my acrylics. She took her time to make sure it was how I wanted it but the service was still faster than other salons. (Ignore the damaged cuticles, it was like that before the service) read more

Where do I even begin. No appointment, we waked in(that's nice, no wait time, and they were able to get us in). I had asked for a full set. Heather the nail tech did my nails, I loved the nails. Thought they were very detailed and clean. NOW, heather goes "do you want regular or shellac"......and that's when it went down hill from there. I'm not sure if you say regular, it means you're poor but the service completely shifted. Once I said regular she kept going on and on about how long it takes to dry, I get it, if you go a cheaper route then it will take longer Vs. shellac and they put your nails under black light and it dries instantly. She puts me in a corner like a kid, I know what you're thinking, it's the drying station, its not because if you pick shellac, they would bring the machine to you. Either way I was still happy with the nails, so sat at the drying station......heres the best part, she just had my hands under a fan, it got so cold my hands started to hurt....maybe because she had me sitting under that fan for 45 MINS, yes you heard that right, my FULL set took about 37 mins to do and the nail drying process took 45 mins. Im not a nail tech but ill tell you what, it felt like she applied a diluted clear coat because NO JOKE, it took 45 mins to dry......when I touched it after 25 mins, it left a print on the nails when I was touching them to dry. The work was good, but if you want constant customers service, then pick shellac lol. Like they make it clear if they upsale and you don't take it......they change their service to teach you a lesson. Would I ever go back?.......NEVER. I have only been here twice and to be honest I can't even remember my first experience. But I went back yesterday, on a Saturday, mid day and got seated right away with no appointment. I don't remember the nail techs name that did mine but she was quiet, kept to her self and did a great job in my opinion. I don't always care to chit chat so it was perfect for me. I could've used a little longer arm massage, but when she was told she had another customer next she didn't start to rush by any means. I was asked at check out if I had shellac on prior (which I did not) so I'm guessing the charge extra for the removal?? If that's the case, I won't go back. They already charge extra for files, and I don't know a single place I've been to that charges extra to remove shellac when you're getting shellac put on. Dumb. Other than that- it was just fine! Went last night for a basic pedi and shellac mani. I told the lady that greeted us exactly what I was looking for. Second lady takes me to the pedi chair, once again, pointing to my fingers, regular pedi and shellac mani. They had me pick my colors, once done, third lady starts my pedi. As soon as she is about to start putting the gel polish, I told her to stop, I said no shellac pedi. The second lady then starts arguing with me in front of other customers, stating that what I asked for. I kept saying no, but then got a little embarrassed because there's other people in front of us. I said whatever and the lady continues. When it came time to paid, BASIC SHELLAC PEDI WAS $47. WTF, $15 for shellac on pedi but only $5 on mani?!?!? It's been a little over 12 hours since my pedi, and I still can't believe i got ripped off. I should have caused a scene when she was about to add the gel, maybe that would have sent a message. Moral of this story: don't get your nails done here. read more

I was a bit skeptical going into here at first. One of the men that work here is not very friendly or talkative. When I walked in he asked what I wanted and after I answered just completely ignored me. So I sat and waited just a couple minutes. Tina waved me over for my simple manicure/pedicure. It was fantastic! I needed a day to relax and feel girly and she really contributed to that. She was nice to talk to and did my nails wonderfully. I heard one of the other ladies giving some young girls advice and I thought that was really cool too. I would definitely go back (as long as the guy wasn't doing my nails...I'm sure he's good, I just like to talk sometimes and I feel like he doesn't). read more

The staff is so rude, especially the teenage daughter who runs the shop. It looks filthy in there and the actual service, my mani + pedi, was one of the worst I've ever received. I'm pretty sure my toes didn't get a top coat, I got no foot/leg massage, and there is polish every where... the gal didn't even try to clean up her mess! Update: Shellac did not hold up well. Difficult to tell from the pic, but they scratch easily. I'm very careful with my nails and have never had shellac do this before. Having had these nails for almost 2 weeks now, I've become insecure of the unevenness; I need to have them redone at my regular place ASAP. The chip in the picture was the result of not having soaked my shellac in acetone long enough. She had to rely on the tool a lot to remove my old shellac, which thinned out my nail, making it more susceptible to breakage. read more

I wish you could leave 0 stars. This place needs to go out of business, but I guess every mall needs a shitty nail salon. First of all this place is one of those salons that makes you pay for the file and buffer. I'd say make sure you bring your extra ones so you don't have to pay, but I'm hoping you won't go to this nail salon at all. The moment I walked in asking for a mani and a pedi, I didn't feel invited but more of a burden. My pedicure took forever and ended up chipping that night. Next I got a gel set for my manicure and it was the worst one I ever experienced. I left with all my cuticles on fire and a visibly large cut on one of my middle fingers. The total cost for a rough and non-relaxing visit = $62. Honestly, save your time and money. Don't be like me and go tot the mall to get your nail done so you can also hit up Eyebrow Plus too. I had wanted to go to Emerald Isle Hair & Beauty across the street on Sunnyside but they were closed that Sunday I went. They are a great salon with quality products for a good price. The lady that gave us the manicures was very rude, and talked to us like we were airhead teenagers. She didn't want to help us with colors, was very rude when we asked questions and did not do a good job. The lady that did my friend's manicure cut her and didn't say anything.
