Walking in they have a small waiting area and although there are 4 chairs, that's not enough. I went on Friday and it was pretty busy and they were behind cuz it was about a good 15-20 min wait. Front desk lady was real nice checking me in (but seemed confused about the whole yelp thing and read my email for a little while, as well as scheduling didn't seem to be all familiar with the yelp situation either which made making an appt super confusing since first time guests get the same free service they were offering for the yelp drawing- so it ended with a 'well first time guest get it free so it's the same thing' ) Once you walk back the hall way (in clackamas location) was super cool! It looked kinda castle like. The room it's self was rather small, not that a ton of room is needed but it did feel a little crowded. The walls and ceiling seemed a little outdated, but that honestly has nothing to do with the services itself, just not appealing to the eye, however they did tell me they are open every single day and just haven't had time to update. My technician, Alicia, was so amazing! Really nice, sweet, and explained everything to me. What she will do, how she will do it, why she was using certain things and so on. So this place uses a special European comfort wax, which is a gorgeous deep amethyst color and apparently is made specifically for this waxing company. It's a certain mix that supposed to make the wax more 'comfortable' . I figured it was just a hype but I was actually really surprised! It's a hard wax, which means no strips, it drys on your skin and hardens up to be ripped off. I've used many types of waxes and I felt like this wax was very.. fluffy?? Silky? Airy? I'm not sure how to describe it, but like you didn't really notice it going on. It seemed pretty flexible too so it didn't snap or break when being taken off. I would have enjoyed having a side my side comparison with another wax to see if what I thought in my head was real. Before waxing took place they wipe you down with an oil to keep the wax from sticking to your skin. Then after wipe you down with an oil to get any residue off and also an anti ingrown hair wipe. After a full 24 hours I was really surprised at how well the area looked. It wasn't irritated or sensitive. It all was totally normal. They offer deals too which I've never seen a wax place do- anything from buy X get Y free to unlimited waxing for the year, all discounted. I really enjoyed the experience and would love to try some more waxing. Update: Ive had plenty of waxes before and the grow out of always less than fun, especially near intimate areas. Grow back had been pretty similar as other places, BUT the months to follow have shown a real difference. Im not sure how to really explain it if you havent experienced it before. I'm leaving a two-star review because, although the place itself is friendly and clean, my actual service and overall experience were very disappointing. I'm rating the service I received, not the environment. The person who waxed me was kind, and the company's website says she has four years of experience. However, as someone who has been getting waxed regularly for over a year (about twice a month), I was honestly shocked by the quality of the service. During my appointment, the same area was waxed multiple times--far more than it should have been--which left my skin irritated. I chose not to point out the areas that were missed after the appointment because the same spots had already been waxed repeatedly and I didn't want to risk even more irritation. I checked out, said the service was okay, paid the usual $40, and left. When I got home, I had to tweeze about 16 hairs from my upper lip myself and heavily moisturize my skin to calm the irritation and redness. While the staff was kind and the space was clean, the quality of the work was extremely disappointing and far below what I expected from a professional service. read more

I would give Jackie and Jasmin 5 stars. I have been to this establishment several times and they both chatted and distracted me during my Brazilian waxes and made time the time fly by. I have always tipped at least 20% . I was 9 minutes late yesterday, fully prepared for them to tell me that I was going to have to either have to rebook or or be seen later in the day. Instead I got reprimanded and treated like a toddler by the FDC not once but again when the aesthetician came to retrieve me for my wax. After my service, I was paying they were asking if I wanted to schedule my next visit I wanted to say , Are you kidding me? As I was leaving the FDC "apologized" for letting me know of their policy. I replied to her that she had done it to me not once but twice and her mouth just dropped open. I won't be back. I understand keeping a schedule. I also understand customer service. I decided to try out this place because maybe it would be better than Lunchbox. The waiting room was clean and presentable. The actual room where I got my wax done should of had way better lighting especially if you're getting a Brazilian. They use a harding wax over the soft wax which I feel like doesn't work as good since I wasn't left smooth. Alexx didn't really do a job that makes me want to return but for $30 it's decent. I did not appreciate all 3 workers (2 receptionist and Alexx) pushing their products and wax packages on me to buy. read more

I got a brazilian wax with the lady with purple hair (forgot to get her name), although she was polite, she just wanted to be done fast so she can go home. Usually when I get a brazilian all the hair is gone, but this lady left a lot of hair and was not paying attention at all. I just had my first wax in the Portland area since I moved from California. I've been getting waxed for a year and a half and have never had an experience like the one today. Meg was informative and fun. Did it hurt (of course I just had follicles ripped from my body), but I laughed the whole time!!!! She is hilarious, it is a great distraction. So I don't really do this whole waxing thing, but after I received a coupon for a free wax, I decided to give it a try. The gal at the reception was friendly, not too pushy. I realize they want to sell memberships and took a look at previous reviews so I knew what to expect. The place was clean, quiet, and welcoming. The gal who did my waxing was Kristin (or Krista?). She was also friendly and not pushy with selling anything. She was courteous and only waxed the areas I felt comfortable with, checking up on me every now and then. I've got to say, I was impressed by the whole process, but then again I'm not too experienced with this sort of stuff. The creams they used before and after ensured that there wasn't any pain, not to mention that the wax itself was absolutely painless. I too actually decided to go ahead and make another appointment. They ask folks to come in every 3-4 weeks, which isn't really in my price range. I think I might try once every couple months, as a treat. If you can still get the complimentary wax, I say go for it. This location is low key and not intimidating in the slightest. Worth a shot in the long run! read more

The girls in the front tried to explain that they had tried to call, however there were zero missed calls and messages on my friends phone from this place. The wax was ok. They burned my underarms. Both of them actually. Took about 3 weeks to recover. The manager Natalie was nice a put a credit on my account for the underarms. I went back and the front desk gal was rude. The room was filthy and unsanitary. The bathroom had poo around the edges of the toilet. I asked Mary ann the esthetician about cleaning and she blew me off. I asked the front desk gal to chat with a manger and she said they did not have one. I wish I would have not purchased a package. Best place in town! Each waxer is personable and never awkward. It was a very unique and rejuvenating experience. I saw multiple waxers and each one had met and exceeded my expectations. The wax is a hard wax and it's less painful than sugaring, threading, or the liquid strip wax that regular salons use. AND the products actually WORK! I have been using the ingrown hair serum for a few months now and it actually helped with my ingrowns and even helped previous scaring. I've only had a Brazilian done once, and it wasn't a fun experience. I figured I would try again with someone new, and I'm so happy I did. Caira is efficient and quick with the process. There was no "yelping" when it comes to waxing! Even though I have waited over 3 months for this branch, in Clackamas, to open the staff was exceptionally professional and sweet. During their premiere week I was entitled to a complimentary wax, which I assumed was narrowed to one area. Much to my surprise, once they got me into position and I mentioned I couldn't quite afford to have an additional area waxed, they offered to wax both areas for free. I went ahead and made another appointment, which will actually be my first session, and will entitle me to another complimentary wax!
