Buffet items: Salmon, chicken, seafood salad, broccoli, corn, baked potato wedges, sweet plantains

I worked a summer school session nearby and this place was recommended by a colleague. I went once and I just kept going back. Compared to the other options in the area (primarily fast food spots), this place was a healthy option and still got me food fast with a plethora of hot food options ready to be served in small or large containers that get charged by the pound (somewhere around 9 dollars per pound). I love their buffet items! Each day they have a variety of proteins (beef, pork, fish and chicken), well-seasoned vegetables (with salt less option), pasta, rice, and soup options. They also have a salad area with a large assortment of veggies, fruits, beans, and nuts. They also have paninis and wraps. Aaaand they offer protein shakes, smoothies, and fresh juices. I took off one star because when I sat down the tables felt sticky. I don't mean they were dirty because they looked clean, they just had a sticky residue that didn't feel right to me. I touched various tables and it was the same across all of them. This will definitely be a go-to spot for next year and any future meetings I may have nearby.

Chicken cutlet with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard. Love their sandwiches and paninis!

Horrible customer service. Asked for an itemized receipt and gave the only attitude. Very rude.

A Little Italy tradition worth every stop!…read more Whenever we head to the Bronx for Italian cold cuts and fresh homemade ravioli, stopping at Delillo Pastry Shop is part of the tradition. We simply can't leave without it. Their cappuccinos are excellent--my personal favorite is the Nutella cappuccino--and my 6-year-old always asks for their rich hot chocolate. Before leaving, we always grab a gelato to go and pick up a box of pastries for the week. Everything we've tried has been fresh, delicious, and beautifully made, and they offer a wonderful variety of classic Italian desserts. The shop itself is small and cozy, which adds to its authentic neighborhood bakery charm. Just keep in mind that there isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking--and in Little Italy, that can definitely require a little patience! If you're visiting Arthur Avenue, Delillo Pastry Shop is a stop you shouldn't skip. It's one of those places that keeps you coming back year after year.

Bread, cookies, and pastries are all showcased and it smells great. If you go during the afternoon during the week it won't be as crowded as it can get on the weekend. Everything here is terrific. Whenever I'm in the area I'll bring home a pound of assorted Italian cookies, I'll also grab rainbow cookies and cannolis. Their cannolis are terrific, some of the best in NY. Yes, NY, not just NYC. I think what makes their cannoli stand out amongst some of the best is their shell. It's always fresh and crispy. Their filling is a little more vanilla forward compared to other NY institutions version of the cannoli, so keep that in mind when trying one. I'll put it to you this way, if you like Italian pastries, especially cannolis make this place a destination to visit, give them a try and see how it ranks up compared to your favorites. And while you're there, take in the rest of Arthur Ave! Oh, I almost forgot. They have what my husband says are the best savoiardi cookies in the state. They're always fresh, soft, slightly chewy in the middle with a delicately crispy exterior. They're to die for with a hot cup of coffee.

Our food took forever to come but, I will say once our food finally arrived, our waiters were polite and didn't treat us unkind. My prosciutto sandwich was just okay, 7/10. I think had it come with a different cheese and not feta, and had my prosciutto been sliced and not diced, it might have been a better sandwich. My French fries and cappuccino were delicious, and the aroma of coffee surrounding the restaurant was nice. The restaurant has a cute European coffee house vibe to it. A great place to go have lunch and espresso on a nice day of shopping in Little Italy, particularly if you're a local and of European decent. Not a bad place to have lunch but I wouldn't return.

The history of the trileqe cake in the Balkans is fascinating. As I understand it, it was transmitted from Latin America through popular telenovelas, and then proceeded to spread east to Türkiye. I must admit that I prefer the Balkan interpretation to the original, with a rich caramelized layer on top. The version at Noya nails that caramel flavor, but the cake was slightly shallow for our taste.

This is a well known bakery right in the heart of the South Bronx! (BX Stand Up!) I've brought the…read moresame cake from this place years ago. The customer service, the cake, & the taste was all the same as what it was before. AMAZING! I got the fresh strawberry shortcake with crackers all around for a friend's birthday. I was able to get the bakery to write on the cake and buy candles for the cake as well. They boxed it up for me nicely and safely so the cake wouldn't mess up. When I brought the cake to the party it was the main attraction at the end of the night. The cake was sliced and served. Once the guest had that first bite they were taken aback at how BOMB the cake was! They said it was the perfect kind of sweet. Not overly sweet like other cakes and how it tasted so fresh and delicious. Awww man I need you to experience it for yourself! This cake in particular has me in a chokehold! Their other pastries also look equally amazing on display. COME TO ARTUSO!

As soon as you step inside, you're taken by how large and how clean Artuso is. It is very well lit, and all of these things make it very easy for you to focus on those glass cases full of sweets. Their selection is extremely large and contains all that you would expect (biscotti, rainbow cookies, b&w's, pignolis, etc) as well as Italian ice and various other treats. The line moved fast, and the workers were extremely helpful as we ordered our rainbow cookies and pignoli cookies with cannoli cream. The pignoli were great...they had that signature almond taste, just right. Very enjoyable. And the cannoli cream center was a nice touch, and very good as well. The rainbow cookies were ok. Admittedly, I have a very high bar for rainbows, so I hold them to a high standard...and they were good, just not as flavorful/almondy as I particularly prefer. In all, Artuso is a great stop. A perfect post lunch/dinner spot to grab a quick snack to cap off a meal. Definitely check it out.
