The family dinners are AMAZING! Great to have a restaurant close by, where you get consistent, hot and delicious takeout that your company will rave about. Easy! Yesterday we ordered a Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo family dinner to take home for a college get together. There was lots of chicken and the portion was huge, including your choice of homemade pasta, a beautiful, fresh salad and bread. It was absolutely delicious, and well worth the money. I really want to love this restaurant but I simply can't. Tried on two occasions, both for take out. The first for Thanksgiving so that doesn't really count. The second today when I ordered 4 different entrees and 4 salads, all family sized for a party I hosted. The food simply was not good. The handmade pasta was fresh and the texture was great but overall the dishes tasted extremely bland and all needed salt. The meatballs were tough. The majority of the group shared their disappointment with the food and typically party guests don't share such a POV. I have a lot left overs and decided to toss it since I know my family won't eat it. I did find the salads fresh and tasty however and saved those. And while I have not eaten in the restaurant, I will say that my impression of the place from the entryway and restroom was not good. I have a background in the food service industry and I typically judge a restaurant's kitchen cleanliness based on what I see in the restroom. It displays the restaurants attention to details and since I can't see the kitchen, it gives me a data point. I won't be returning to this restaurant. This restaurant has done a lot on social media to promote its restaurant. Frankly, it's how I heard of them. I suggest they refocus on food quality and restaurant cleanliness to attract and retain new customers. Ate dinner there last evening. Everything was great!!! My husband got Cod Picatta, excellent. I had limoncello haddock , delicious! Appetizer of PEI mussels, also excellent, but a little messy.. desserts were great, cheesecake and cannoli. Since we were there last, about 15 years ago, they have updated and redecorated. Dining room is lovely and comfortable, bathrooms are immaculate. Definitely won't wait another 15 years to go for dinner again. This will be one of our favorites! read more

Best Italian restaurant! We ate there last night for the first time and can't stop raving about the food. One of us had the special gnocchi cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious and the dish was loaded with a variety of meats. I had a dish with humongous wagon wheel pasta, broccoli and other goodies, plus shrimp, in a lemon butter sauce. My family hosted my baby shower here. After we booked the date and time in person at Primavera, we got a call days later telling us they double booked the space. They asked us to change our date but we had already sent out save the dates. They put us in a space on the second floor which seemed like it would work for our needs, but when we showed up to decorate, we were told that the AC had 'just' broken. It was an almost 90 degree day, on the second floor in an enclosed space. They tried to help the sweat dripping off of our faces with fans, which I appreciate, but the communication in all of this was just so poor. I'm not sure I would book an event here again. read more

The hubby and I had a little pre-birthday dinner last night at the bar and it was excellent!! Place was packed and they had two functions (in other areas of the building) and our food came out hot, delicious and plentiful! The cocktails were plentiful and cold. One of the best restaurants around in the Medfield/Millis/Medway area. A diverse menu that covers the classics as well as special menu items that you might only find at your family table (that were passed down through the generations). Lobster Newberg is creamy and stuffed with lobster and other seafood. Primavera has family sized menu items, as well as delivery and outdoor seating. With all the newer restaurants around offering "gastro burgers" or eclectic burrata salads (don't get me wrong I like those) it's nice to go to a place that offers consistently great dishes that you know and love! The menu is so deep it offering something for everyone. It's a go to place that I will come back to again and again. read more

I know it's Covid and things aren't perfect but Mother's Day "brunch" was a disaster. We waited 45 min to be seated and we had reservations-and no place to wait . My mom is 85 and that was tough. The "family style" brunch was several breakfast items and the prime rib veggies and potatoes. All served at the same time- all cold. Service- horrendous - it took forever to get anything- not enough help. And to add insult to injury they then added a 18.69% tip to the bill- strange number and way too much. It was really the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. And in mother's day. People were angry and yelling and leaving (wish we had left before being seated). So so disappointing. They would have been better off not opening. So many unhappy customers that will never come back. I predict they will go out of business. read more

Unfortunately, we went to Primavera for our Mothers Day brunch. It took 45 min to get our drinks (mind you we only have 90 mins per regulations), the food was less than par and not enough for our table of 6. Example: We received 4 (Half Slices) of french toast, 4 slices of roast beef etc. . Our waitress never returned to give us another drink, fill our coffee mugs and we requested her multiple times. We left hungry, thirsty and unhappy. We complained and got the excuse 'sorry, we are short staffed'. The waitress finally gave us our bill and put in a 20% tip that we could not change and she hovered me until I signed- $400 for a party of 6. Will never be going back again! To be fair, my husband seems to enjoy the veal parmigiana, but the past few salads I've ordered for take out, it feels like they just throw in whatever TF they feel like, not even close to the menu description. The past 2 times I've ordered an apple walnut salad, there have been no apples. The salad should have "Crisp greens, spinach, sundried cranberries, gorgonzola, apples, avocado, walnuts & cranberry vinaigrette " - I asked for no avocado and balsamic on the side. I got spring mix, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, beets, blackberries and goat cheese and some sort of lemon dressing on the side. It's not that it's bad, it's just not even close to what I ordered. If it was a one time thing, I get it, things are really hard in the restaurant industry, but it's the second time in a row and it's a SALAD- it shouldn't be that difficult. More concerning is that we always tell them I'm gluten intolerant and they always put a giant crouton on it. If you're getting a typical Italian meal, you're probably fine. Went to Primavera last night after not having been there for a few years. Not good. Very small crowd for a Friday night. Ordered the brussel sprouts as an app, kinda burnt and chewy. My husband ordered the seafood casserole, said it was "ok". I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. It was awful. It was more like a soup. Small ravioli in an orange sticky sauce. It was not good at all, did not taste like squash, I don't even know what it was. It was a bowl of orange sauce with some ravioli thrown in. Only good thing was the service, waitress was nice. Yesterday I had my daughters bridal shower there. First off, Briana is the nicest and easiest person to work with. Very accommodating to all my ideas, and right there to help us with anything we needed for our decorations. We chose to do the breakfast buffet that includes the cheese platter, fruit, mimosa's and Bloody Mary's at each table. There was also, bagels, muffins, eggs, bacon sausage, pasta dish chicken Marsala. Bountiful amounts of food! As a side note I have celiac disease, the chef knew exactly what to do for me to have safe food. This happens never! I was one of the guests at her shower thanks to him and Briana ensuring my food to be safe. The room that we had it in was absolutely gorgeous. The staff, I cannot say enough about each and every person that worked that day was so terrific at making sure everyone was taking care of, very attentive to the Bride to be and mother of bride lol! They worked hard and was so kind and polite to everyone. Ditto for the bartender! ( I opted to have one as we have a fun crowd) he was the most kindest and professional bartender. Their prices are more than reasonable, we had looked at several other locations and they gave you the most for the money. Was so impressed by the social distancing protocols of the staff; they delivered my food to my car instantly while still maintaining distance. Take out only: not sure why I haven't posted this before but Primavera is amazing especially to feed large families. We frequently ordered family style means for takeout during Covid shut down and always beyond delicious. I once had an issue with a family salad being hot and wilted and they not only replaced it but gave me a credit for another one on a future order. The manager is top notch when it comes to customer service and their hostess (a young girl I wish I could remember her name) is amazing too. Great job we look forward to many more means. For the price they charge for slop in a take out box is just horrifying. We couldn't tell if it was over cooked or days old. I do not want to hear that they are under staffed and this and that. Made reservations for this restaurant way in advance for Mother's Day. Was told we would have outside seating at noon time. We arrived almost at noon to find a long long line of people standing in the parking lot waiting. We waited for 45 minutes to make our way finally to the entrance of the door. People that were seated were saying that after waiting for over 30 minutes they had not even been responded to by waitstaff so they were leaving. This was such an awful experience for all of us waiting in line and those of us who actually made it to a table. Many people had family members who needed to go to work so the delay really caused some ruined dinners. We were one of those families. I get that there could have been some catastrophic issue that had occurred within the establishment, but it was their DUTY to inform THEIR guests who happily waited a long time in line as to what was going on. No one from the restaurant that could be found said a thing. I am sure they lost many customers for any up coming family holidays, its was crazy listening to everyone on their phones trying to make last minute arrangements. Most people could find nothing else available anywhere. Honestly this was just an unacceptable lack of communication on their part. I would never trust another reservation made for a holiday with them ever again. So sad normally we had great experiences, it was however our first and last holiday experience. Was extremely disappointed in the unprofessional, lazy, entitled punk that was "Bartending". Asked for a glass of ice water and was told "no". Told servers at function would get water. Told him they were really busy ( they were hustling and working very hard). He said "no" again when I asked nicely for a glass of ice water for a pregnant women that needed water. It is absolutely disgusting that this person was not a team player, trying to push me off to the servers at the function that my friend paid Primavera to host. The function was family style and they served 4 chicken cutlets to a table of 6 women. One of the women asked for more chicken cutlets so they could all have one and was told "no"! So, the ladies cut each of the 4 chicken cutlets in half so everyone at the table could have a taste. The event I attended was beautiful and my friend had every detail down. The food was good and we all enjoyed the event. However, customer service skills are lacking and staff was rude. If the staff were professional I would have given a 4 star review. Lousy staff will reflect poorly on a business and sadly this is the case at Primavera. I saw no evidence of management overseeing the event. read more

I had to come and share my Mother's Day experience here. We had a reservation for 12:30pm , we arrived at 12:15 it was a disaster. The two woman at the front were unbelievably horrible! One of them ignored my wife and walked away the other just rude in everyway possible. Finally after waiting in a long and slow moving line we got a table. As soon as the waitress came over, before she could get a word in my wife immediately told her how very unhappy we already were , her exact reply was Hello! Happy Mother's Day , I'm Danielle and I AM AT YOUR SERVICE! We laughed, she giggled and she did mean just what she said. She was sweet and had a great personality, nothing like the two at the door. She made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. Prime Rib was top notch. We even saw her running a little at one point to make sure everyone she was taking care of was content. I hope that did not go unrecognized because if not for her this review would be zero stars and we would not be returning. My wife's mind was made up as we sat down but to our pleasant surprise our waitress turned the day around for us. On Sept. 22, 2017 we attended a dear friends wedding here. I was seriously appalled! Wedding was at 6, bar opened at 6. There was water and lemon water, serve Yourself......very poor wedding planner, drinks and appetizers are always served before the wedding and while you wait for the reception. Room was beautiful, but food was far below our expectations....most was cold and unappetizing, and when asked could not be identified by server!! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, the experience was extremely unpleasant. The lack of personable hosts/hostess' was an issue during the first 90 seconds of the visit. No one spoke to us (a party of 6) waiting in the lobby for at least 5 minutes. RUDE! (I should also mention that there was an angry gentleman waiting for his take out order that had been messed up and he was less than pleased). Our server on the other hand WAS personable. Very witty and friendly. The beginning part of our meal was believe it or not, okay. The drinks we ordered came out fine (except a classic cosmo drink had peach schnapps in it... not sure when/how that happened). We got our salads and bread and all was fine until we had been waiting 30 minutes post finishing our salads for our meals. A table next to us shared similar frustration. The server was avoiding us, we had no drinks and wanted refills. We were seated near the bar so I decided to ask for a sprite and diet coke for my father and brother on my way to the bathroom from the bartender. I went to the restroom and upon my return I saw two drinks resembling the two I asked for. I sat down because it is NOT the guests responsibility to fetch their own drinks. After about a minute my mom peeked her head up and addressed the unfriendly bartender about the drinks and she pointed to the two and said "they're right here," pointed to them and walked away. My mother got up to get them and sat down. I was APPALLED! When the food FINALLY arrived (45 minutes after finishing the salads) my brother's food wasn't there and didn't arrive for another 5 minutes. He told us we could begin eating because we had been waiting forrrrever! My dad requested extra sauce with his lasagna and that didn't arrive with the meal either. We had to ask for it 3 different times over the course of about 10 minutes from two different people. We were also STILL waiting for 3 drinks to arrive. We got the bill ASAP, my mother chugged her glass of wine that had been finally delivered with the bill, and left with no one thanking us on our way out for doing business there. Now, I work at a very well run restaurant in Wellesley and this kind of operation is unbelievable. The diner's experience at a restaurant begins the second they walk through the door and doesn't end until the last savory tastes of the delicious food escape the tongue. Been to this brunch 4-5 times over last few years .if you keep your eyes open you can often find a $10/person coupon in local papers and flyers. Watch out though ,they keep offering to fill up your orange juice glasses, and I was suprised to learn at check time that I paid for each and every refil of OJ. Service was quick. Portions were well-sized. Now let's get to the bad parts. The place settings were set upside-down at the table. The vegetable medley in my seared ahi was clearly previously frozen. Pasta dishes were undercooked. The waitress didn't clear the bread and bread plates the entire meal. The creme brûlée one person at my table ordered didn't even have the melted sugar coating, and the tiramisu came in *plastic* cups (clearly not from Primavera's kitchen). To top it all off, the men's room a) was out of liquid soap, b) was out of paper towels, c) had a vomit-filled toilet. For one of the only restaurants in town with a classy feel, Primavera needs to step up their game and clean up their act before I'll ever go back. read more
