We dined at Primavera last night and had a wonderful time. My family has been coming here for nearly 30 years. Their food and service was impeccable! We ordered the bread with the caponata dipping sauce, chicken piccata, salmon dill, butternut squash ravioli, linguine bolognese, spumoni gelato, and the crème brûlée. The food came out quick and was so fresh and delicious! Our server Andres went above and beyond! Victor was also very helpful as well. Primavera is a local Italian restaurant that we Like. Staff is friendly and helpful. The server and manager came by to make certain we were having a great evening. The restaurant has two dining rooms along with a small area that connects the two. This is the first time that we were in the South room which can be closed off by a barn door. This room can be opened for parties or when they are busy, like they were tonight. The food was excellent albeit we should have only ordered one "cream" dish. The restaurant split the swordfish risotto for us. Swordfish can be dry but they did a superb job making it flaky and wonderful. We normally don't do dessert but we had to get the Tiramisu tonight. While we LOVED the tiramisu (5/5), which was excellent and tasted homemade, the rest of the food was fine and not memorable. I got the shrimp pesto (3/5) and my partner got the grilled salmon Fresca (3/5). Service was okay. We didn't have forks on our table; despite my asking someone for forks they never brought them, so I took forks from an empty table nearby. Short Story: A great place to go for Mother's Day! Long Story: I came here with a reservation in the morning for Mother's Day. We got there right at 11am when the restaurant opened. The place was empty and we were promptly seated and given menus. We ordered several items such as the Jambalaya, lamb shank, and butternut squash. The service is really good and the decor is interesting. The restaurant has a few sections so you can have your own space as needed. It's also semi baby-friendly in terms of the menu and setup. Got to try this restaurant through catering and everything was delicious. I tried the chicken Parmesan, the meatball antipasto, the pear strawberry salad, and the gnocchi. Everything tasted so fresh! The pear strawberry salad was crisp and I loved the combo of the flavors together. The chicken parm was also juicy and melted in my mouth. The gnocchi was yummy too but I wish it had more sauce as it wasn't so flavorful as I would've liked. The meatball was okay too; not my favorite but still pretty good. I was looking forward a place to host a party of 20 or so and I stumbled upon Primavera. The parameters for hosting an event there seemed agreeable so we tried out the food. We tried the chicken saltimbocca, the carbonara, and the chicken linguine dijon (not a regular menu item but on the catering/event menu). The chicken linguine Dijon was unique and tasty. The carbonara was decent but we weren't a fan of the usage of thick prosciutto, leading to the dish being really salty. Same thing with the chicken saltimbocca, a little salty for my liking. However the portions were generous and the service was good. The set up was nice, they have a main dining room and a side room for parties like we were thinking about. They were easy to communicate with as we made arrangements for our event. They let us come 30 minutes prior to our event to set up and Shelby and Austin were super friendly and attentive to our group for the entire evening. We didn't feel rushed at any point and overall we were pleased with how things turned out. We changed up our menu a bit for the event (didn't have any options that used the thick salty prosciutto) and everyone enjoyed their food. We had a great evening and there wasn't even any other parties that were seated in our room (even though they could have seated people in there if needed), we felt like we had our own private party! Usually we love this place, but unfortunately our Valentine's Day dinner was a big disappointment. Our main courses arrived while we were still eating our salads. The server seemed confused and just left the entrées sitting off to the side. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and the pasta appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while -- much of it was dried out around the edges. We sent the Chicken Parm back and declined a replacement, but it took so long for the plate to be cleared that I had already finished my pasta by the time it was addressed. The timing completely threw off our meal and left us both frustrated. We also asked twice for more bread and dipping sauce and never received it. It made for a very disappointing Valentine's Day. This used to be our go-to spot for a nice dinner, but after this experience, we'll likely be looking elsewhere. read more

Made a reservation and came to celebrate a birthday and our food was forgotten and we waited over 1.5 hours to get our entrees after inquiring with two staff there. Even with the reservation it took a while to get seated although our table was open, we had to re-ask the hostess. Food flavors were lacking also the chefs looked so busy and were doing their best I'm sure. Two large tables next to us got their meals before us even though we were seated first. Then after asking the staff they said they would check and no food came out for 15 minutes so we asked again. If you forgot our food, wouldn't they be next in line to be brought out? It was really frustrating and we were starving by then. Only bright spot was they did give us a discount for the wait and for the birthday celebration they comped the dessert. Overall super disappointing experience and the food was not worth the wait. The waiters also kept bumping into us since we were sat on the corners and everyone was rushing around tight spaces but they still didn't come refill our drinks or notice that we didn't get our food until we flagged them down. Went yesterday, and was rather displeased with our experience. Upon being seated, and before we could see the menu to realize we would be charged for it, we were asked if we wanted bread, to which we said yes. Who charges for bread and oil? I've never seen that before. Also to add insult to injury, a fountain drink is $5. I'm also pretty sure they wheeled out an individual who is normally a chef to serve. While he was nice, he clearly had no experience serving. We had no time to sit with the menu and actually think about what we wanted, because we were popped by every 2 minutes expecting us to have our order ready. When we finally did order (I got the carbonara and she got the cheese tortellini), we ended up getting rather mediocre dishes. The sauces had the consistency of water, and hardly stuck to the pasta. For over $20 dollars per dish, the amount of pasta was very underwhelming as well. To give them *some* credit, I will admit the bread was good (even for $5), and the meat in the carbonara was very flavorful. You're probably better off going literally anywhere else around town for pasta, or honestly even just buying a pound of your favorite pasta and a can of Ragu brand sauce and making it at home. read more

So decided we wanted to pick up some take out for dinner since it was a long day of housecleaning and didn't feel like cooking. No dishes to wash The online order was ready when Hubs went to pick up. Unfortunately, by the time the paperbag full of to go containers got home, some of the juice from the clams linguini spilled and left a small puddle on the seat, left a trail of juice into the kitchen floor, and in the bag, leaving me to clean some more. Ugh. After the mess was wiped up, we dived right into the food....only to find no utensils, or parmesean cheese as I clearly requested that in my order. Smh. DD loved her chicken parm where as Hubs thought the angel hair lacked flavor. My clams linguini was one of my favorites in the past. Unfortunately last night, it missed the mark. Aside from it being dryer than usual, the juice spilling out before I had a chance to enjoy it. It lacked flavor too. A pinch of salt would have done wonders. They used a different type of clam than I remember. Little neck? Also the shelled pieces weren't the freshest (tasting on the verge of going bad) that I decided to skip the last piece, not wanting to end up in the restroom. For $33, I wouldn't order this as a take out again. Good thing I had my antipasto meatballs, which I remember was always good. It was. Packed with flavor at every bite. The sauce was just how I like it with just ebough acidity and cheese. There was also their freshly baked warm bread to go with our meal, which I am glad was remembered. I ordered a slice of cheesecake to end our meal. It was barely a thin sliver (larger than an airplane size serving) that wasn't quite enough to share for 3. It was my favorite item of the night, full of mascapone cheese flavor in every bite. Just wish there was more. Next time I will probably stick to the bolognese pasta, as that was my go to back in the days. It would be the safe option. read more

Employees were all very friendly and helpful when making their recommendations on customer favorite items. The inside is also really beautifully decorated. The food was just ok though. I was in the area for work and decided to try out this little, unassuming Italian spot for dinner. Located in a large shopping center, it could be hard to find, but there is ample parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday evening which I thought was a good sign. Service was great and food came out very quickly. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca for my entree and it was delicious! A large portion with two chicken filets and penne pasta in a creamy brown sauce. Absolutely nothing but good things, I made last minute reservations at this restaurant for our 6 Year Anniversary since we were on a time crunch due to our busy work schedules! It was a Monday so the place was not packed, but the ambience was very elegant & welcoming! We ordered the bread and olive oil on the side. I ordered a house salad which was really good. We both ended up ordering the same entree which was the chicken piccata! It had an amazing buttery lemony flavor. And the chicken itself was very flavorful and delicious. Aside from all the good things this place has to offer one and probably the most important is their customer service. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smile enthusiasm and excitement. We had the pleasure of being waited by Kyle. By far he is one of the best Waiters we've ever had at any restaurant hands down. Kyle was very attentive, came to the table periodically to make sure we were okay. He asked us questions to ensure that our dishes met our expectations. After we were done with our entrees, Kyle realized that we were there celebrating our anniversary. He right away offered us a complimentary Tiramisu which was amazing! I was brought a new one cut in half only Milanese and when I asked to do parm style , the manager said it was cut in half and he could only put cheese on one half of the chicken!!!! Confirmed order, no dinner, no accountability. I placed an online pickup order at 2:30 PM on Mother's Day for a 5:00 PM pickup because I was excited to find a gluten-free veal piccata option for our family dinner. I received both an email confirmation and a text confirmation, so I assumed the order was accepted and everything was set. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told they were not taking online orders. No one had called, texted, emailed, or otherwise let me know. Worse, the staff made no meaningful effort to fix the situation, offer an alternative, prioritize a replacement order, or even acknowledge how badly this had disrupted our plans. Mistakes happen. But accepting an online order, confirming it twice, waiting until the customer arrives to say it does not exist, and then doing nothing to remedy it is unacceptable--especially on Mother's Day. This completely ruined our Mother's Day dinner. I would not trust this restaurant for any special occasion, pickup order, or dietary-sensitive meal. read more

Last Thursday evening, we celebrated a friend's anniversary dinner at Primavera Ristorante. With the very active bar as our view, we enjoyed our reserved booths. As a local resident for many years, to have this standard of food and service in our own back yard, is a real treat. The blackened salmon fresca "salad" is wonderful and a full meal ! My neighbor and I chose Primavera for dinner and a chance to catch up with one another. We were initially seated in the back room. Lovely decor I must add. Unfortunately, there was a raucous group mightily enjoying themselves and the noise was deafening. We could not hold a conversation. Upon request we were seated in the main part of the restaurant. We noticed the another table also asked to be moved. The rest of the evening was splendid - great food and great service. Don't know how better acoustics might be created but it could help. My husband and I have been visiting Primavera (what we lovingly call "Pasta P") for years. We have always thought of it as our local staple comfort- consistently great. Both good and bad times have been spent under this roof, and in the ultra bad times quite a few DoorDash orders have been made. It appears that ownership changed- I've been told by an employee that it was taken on by the former Albatross owner, but that's unconfirmed hearsay. However, there is an uncanny resemblance to Albatross in the new stunning aesthetic and decor... but unfortunately quality of food and service does not align (which is frankly why Albatross didn't last). Visit after visit, the food and service has declined over the last year plus. More times than not, we have tried to stop by only to be greeted by a locked door when the restaurant was supposed to be open. Our visits have declined as the dependability of our beloved "Pasta P" even being open has drifted away. Unfortunately after our latest experience, I think our time has come to end our visits. We came in at 5:30 on a slow Friday- we placed our orders and then we waited..... and waited........... and waited. Personally, I enjoy waiting for my food to come at a restaurant- I probably have more patience than the standard patron. My husband and I are workaholics and this kind of quality time does not come often. I enjoy a delay in my food being served because it means more time enjoying the moment. However, this wait was so bizarrely long that I thought that our food may have been delivered to the wrong table. After almost an hour, our server stopped by to let us know that our food would be right out... Perfect! It wasn't lost! Five minutes after that, another employee stopped by to apologize to my husband because the special of the day that he ordered was "sold out" and asked what he would like instead... Over an HOUR after ordering?????? To be blunt, that is so beyond unacceptable that there is no excuse to explain it... we were honestly speechless. After a moment to process, we asked to cancel my dinner order so we could leave and I could make us a quick dinner at home. The manager made us wait another 5 minutes for the bill so he could apologize beforehand and let us know that he paid for the $10 side Caesar salad we shared during our hour long wait... great? To add insult to injury, when the bill came the tip breakdown was based on the original bill total (before removing my husband's dish that was "sold out" an hour after he ordered, before removing my dish that we canceled, and before removing the $10 Caesar salad that they covered). This made the tip well over double of the services that were actually received!! I am no Karen. I have worked in the customer service industry for 14 years and I am the last person to give a hard time to someone in the service world... Franky, I give Olympic sized swimming pools of buffer to those in the service industry because I absolutely understand. However, this was so grossly mishandled that my patience buffer has been capped. To forget an order, make the table wait an hour, not comp the meal, and then try to trick us into a higher value tip? No way. I am out. We will cherish our memories of you "Pasta P", but this relationship is no longer working for us.
