Meyhouse opens in the San Ramon City Center. Grabbed lunch there earlier in the week with my wife and discovered their excellent Turkish flatbreads. One was like a kachapori with cheese and sausage. Another was a spread of thinly ground beef. Later that week Cheryl M. got together a group of Yelpers for an evening of dinner and Jazz. We ordered a table of food, everything from tomahawk steak, Chilean sea bass, chicken skewers, sweetbread, beef tongue to marinated mackeral. The food was very good but the Jazz was even better. So glad they opened just minutes from my home. Plenty of parking. The service is good.

Meyhouse is a wonderful spot to get people together to connect, listen to great music and enjoy some modern Turkish/California cuisine. Restaurant is beautiful and spacious with private area (seats maybe 60) in the back for music and dinner. The evening was a group of 8 (almost an UYE: Hazel, Joyce and Brandon Z, George F and Steve T) and seated front and center. Music featured Marina Crouse and you can hear the rawness of the vocals and band playing. They were truly amazing, engaging and energetic and got the crowd going! Not a bad seat as physical distance from the stage is minimal offering a closer connection to the performers FOOD: 4 stars Complimentary bread and sparkling wine to start off :: Beef Turkmen manti - super delicious with a thin wrap (almost like a won ton skin) with a savory, spiced filling on labneh. One of the best I've had! :: 13oz Rib eye - simple but prepared perfectly with lemon/olive oil mashed potatoes topped with cilantro chutney :: Chocolate profiteroles - custard filled with a chocolate syrup and pistachios - good finish after the savory Split the above and p/person including tax and tip without drinks $60 Others ordered a variety of items that looked yummy. Eyeing the lamb, glazed sea bass and slow-roasted beets with Turkish cheese (pancar) for next time Service was friendly and efficient. Failed to ask for separate checks when ordering but worked with our server Leon and made it happen! Thank you! 20% added to larger parties with the option to add additional with 4% living wage surcharge. Leon and staff definitely deserved it. All gender bathrooms with communal sinks outside. I came here for a dinner with friends for a local double date. I was excited when the City Center added a Bay Area staple, since I'd already been to the Sunnyvale location before. I tried the chefs tasting menu in Sunnyvale and learned that I would prefer à la carte, so ordered directly off the menu this time. This SR location had a much more modern vibe to it. Since they're newly opened, they offered all guests complimentary champagne, which was a really nice touch and got the night started off right. For apps, we got the ceviche, brown butter hummus, and octopus, and honestly the apps were the highlight of the night. The hummus isn't my preferred smooth style, but it was tasty and good for sharing. Entrees were a different story. We did 4 family style dishes -- branzino, sea bass, tenderloin slices, and a tenderloin skewer: - Branzino: bland and dry, unfortunately - Sea bass: the fish was just fine, and did not enjoy the greens - Tenderloin slices: thin, dry, and bland...not for me - Tenderloin skewer: probably the best of the bunch, liked the eggplant Overall, the apps were good (not great), and entrees mostly missed the mark for us. We still had a nice time with good company, but I'd come back just for apps and drinks next time rather than a full dinner. After trying 2 different locations of Meyhouse now, I think the flavors and technique are underwhelming for the price point.

Checked this new place out for Lunch. It's a beautiful space and I definitely want to come back for their jazz evenings. Service was friendly but forgetful. Good intentions but follow through was inconsistent (ex: as king for a refill, asking for pepper etc). The Turkish sausage flatbread was yummy! Love the flavor of the sausage and good cheese! I got the durma wrap lunch special- the lemon chicken with roasted veggies as a side. It was good but the "safe" option. Next time I'll branch out and order something more unique like the halloumi or zucchini falafel wrap.

Came here with some girlfriends on a Thursday night and was pleasantly greeted by the hostess with complimentary sparkling wine. The decor was nice and there is a beautiful sitting area in the front of the resturant. We asked our server for recommendations from the menu and he suggested their most popular dishes. We ordred several of them and they were all very good. For the main entree, I really like the chicken kabob. It did come out a bit late but the meat was very tender and flavorful. We were too full to order desssert. So, will have to go back next time for it!

The food is delicious here! I had the lamb chop. My friend order a vegetarian dish and another friend order a steak on a skewer. Everything was delicious. The vibe at this restaurant is awesome. Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner. Hands down to our server Tommy who did an excellent job serving us and checking in on us from time to time.

At first I just walked past this spot and had to do a double take because the decor caught my eye. The interior immediately stood out. it's modern and inviting with lots of natural light, comfortable seating, warm wood tones, and plenty of greenery that makes the space feel calm and relaxing. I loved how quiet it was. It's one of those places where you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice, which feels harder and harder to find. The atmosphere made me feel comfortable and unhurried. There are plenty of vegetarian options, which I was very happy about The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the visit. We never felt rushed, and the staff were kind and friendly. Plus it's also a jazz club so how cool is that

We had a large group for lunch here today. Restaurant is beautiful! The shrimp plate lunch was excellent! If you look at the picture you'll see it should have a little rice in the empty space. The homemade bread was delicious. Service was good

We were looking for a new venue and my. wife found Meyhouse. She was intrigued by the international comedy show and the Greek food, so she made reservations at the San Ramon location. Upon arrival, we were escorted to a separate area and offered a complimentary sparkling wine, which was a great start to the evening. We were seated right in the front near a small stage decorated with a piano and flowers. The entire setup was elegant. Our waiter was excellent. He thoroughly explained the menu and recommended we try the Chef's Tasting Menu. It was the perfect choice for us since we are not very familiar with Greek food. Every single dish was excellent, arriving as a series of small, delicious plates. I also tried the Raki spirit, which has a distinct hint of licorice flavor that I really enjoyed. The comedy show was fun and lighthearted. We thoroughly loved the evening and will definitely be back for the jazz show.

Meyhouse has expanded to City Center Bishop Ranch with a roomy restaurant and jazz club. Their lunch menu offers authentic plates of Turkish cuisine at a great value, and we started with the Lahmacun, a thin flatbread topped with ground spiced lamb/beef, served with sliced tomatoes, sumac onion, and lemon on the side. Their Tabak Plates came with a choice of protein and sides, and we had the Grilled Branzino Filet, featuring flavorful, crispy skin; Kofte (ground beef meatballs); Spicy Lamb Kebab served on thin, chewy flatbread; and Aegean Chicken (boneless thigh marinated with lemon-oregano). The sides included white rice, green salad, piyaz (white bean) salad, yogurt, and roasted vegetables (zucchini, onions, peppers, garlic). My favorite single item was the Spicy Lamb Kebab, but everything we had was fresh and flavorful, and the friendly service and refined atmosphere were highlights too!

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Be sure to check their Instagram for the current password, then treat yourself to one of the best speakeasy experiences in the area.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.
