I eat here a couple times a month so I'm pretty familiar with the strengths and weaknesses. The lunch menu is a bargain and the best value in town of any kosher restaurant. I particularly like how they let you choose how well you want your burger done. Most places just burn it. They do charge for extras, like grilling the onions. While I can't complain at at this price point, I think they'd be better off raising the prices and including such services. When people go to such a restaurant, they are expecting a certain level of service and to kill it for $0.50, in my opinion is stupid. Still, great food and great prices! Dinner is a different story. It's not exactly budget, but overall reasonably priced. For starters, they gave us this delicious garlic bread while we were waiting to order that I just couldn't get enough of. Unlike at lunch, where they charge for all the extras, this is completely free. it's small things like this which make me want to come back. other kosher establishments should learn from them in that respect. I tried some of their cheaper steaks and was overall disappointed, but when got the Detroiter steak ( I think it was around $50) it made up for it. Personally, I'd drop the cheaper options from the menu instead of offering a mediocre product. The sides are okay but nothing special, sort of what you'd expect at a low to mid level restaurant... On a few occasions I've tried the fish. If your on a budget, it's the most affordable dinner menu option and is absolutely delicious. I usually go with the white fish in garlic sauce. Now comes the fun part, dessert. They have this amazing carrot cake. Now, I'm not usually a fan of carrot cake but you have to try it! I sometimes stop in just to pick up a piece to go. All-in all, it's the best kosher fine dining option in metro detroit, if not the only. read more

Absolutely deplorable experience. My group and myself were racially profiled made unsafe by someone mentally unstable walking in off the street and harassing our party. We were told by staff because we were people of color he must have been "one of us". Food was beyond subpar at best. To call this venue a steakhouse is an insult to legitimate places of business. Steaks are cut in half for them to make a profit amongst other cost cutting measures that take away from a possible decent meal. Our server spilled a drink all over the event host with little apology which is how our time began. Absolutely insane experience. We were told numerous times by the front of house "manager" (a glorified hostess) that we were complaining because "we couldn't afford the meal". After stating that the bill for the event hosts would be taken care of they reniged. They called the police after we complained about the poor service. read more

I love that their updating the menu. I've been going here for years and while the food is great (I keep coming back for the Jalapeno burger with fried onions) I was starting to feel like I knew the whole menu. Last time we came in we found a few new dishes which we tried and were delicious. The server told us that they'll be introducing more new dishes so we're excited to try them all. The smoothies they added are also a great touch for people who aren't interested in alcoholic beverages or sodas. Keep up the great work! read more

I had a falafel salad which came with hummus, tahini, fattoush, and tabouli - that was all pretty good. My dad got a chicken pot pie which came with a salad, gravy, and a bread basket for $7. He said it was tasty. My mom has had the omelette which she liked. I've had mjadra - it is all good people. The restaurant is at the end of a strip mall and I don't know when they last updated the look. But the dressing is yummy and homemade (and now sold in Meijers). The people are friendly, and the patrons are regulars. Try the oily greek, sounds gross but is so good.
