I ordered mine with the cognac pepper sauce which was a delicious finishing touch and my favorite of the sides were the Szechuan cauliflower and the truffle Mac. Work provided a beautiful dinner for the IAFF memorial in September of 2025. The scenery was romantic and bartenders were attentive. This is a steakhouse, so I naturally ordered the 8oz Filet, medium rare plus. Cooked to perfect with flavor and the right amount of crust on the outside. I was debating between the steak and sea bass, but the waiter said "this is a steakhouse, it's what we're known for". He didn't disappoint! To top it off, He brought a piece of Sea Bass since he knew I was debating. It was good, but not great. But I appreciate the amazing gesture of entertaining my dilemma with entree. The drinks were craft cocktails. Old fashion and "pinche" drink were top notch and complimented the meal. We night capped with an espresso martini and the bartender has my compliments for his skills. A bottle of wine was ordered for the table and it tasted good, but not great. Wish I caught the amend the Cab Sauvignon, but I was more excited with the cocktail drinks. Lastly, the staff. They were extremely attentive to our needs and made sure our glasses were always full. The asked every person if their steak was cooked properly. Prime 25 is a high end steakhouse that is definitely good, but not good enough to blow your mind for the price it is at. For the appetizers the tuna tartare was the highlight of the whole meal. The tuna was good but the cucumbers with the miso dressing dots were extraordinary. We also had the "Million Dollar" Bacon which had a nice sugary glaze that wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but some parts were just too dry and it wasn't fatty enough to make a great dish. I had a spice rubbed ribeye, medium rare and I had no issues with it. It was cooked perfectly and the ribeye was just fatty enough for a descent flavor on it. It won't blow you away but it is a good steak. Is it worth $55? That's up to you. I also tried some of the Hokkaido Scallops and they are very large in size and cooked perfectly but not super flavorful. We ordered a number of sides, with the potato purée being the absolute stand out. These potatoes are way more buttery and smooth than any other mashed potatoes you've had. The fries were also good, nice and crispy. The asparagus was very soft and wet with not a lot of flavor added by anything else. The crispy duck fat potatoes were very variable in how good they were. The small potatoes were perfectly crispy and had a descent fatty flavor added to them but the larger potatoes ended up being way too bland and starchy in the center. The roasted mushrooms were a lowlight for me as someone who loves mushrooms. I didn't enjoy the mirin glaze on there and they and up just being very slimy texture wise. Even looking at them they just don't seem very appetizing. The sides are large so you can definitely share between people. For deserts we had the chocolate mousse marquise, the peanut butter custard, and the crème brûlée, all of which were good but nothing I'd feel the need to get again. I would say the crème brûlée was a very high quality version that many places get wrong. Note that the desserts are very small so you don't get a huge bang for your buck, but you can definitely fit in a dessert after such a large meal. Our server was great and the atmosphere is what you'd expect of a steakhouse of this caliber. The acoustics are nice and you can easily have a conversation. Is Prime 25 good? Absolutely. Is it good enough for the price? If over $100 a person is worth it for a good quality meal that you expect from a steakhouse, then this will definitely be worth it for you. read more

The steaks were fine. But if you are a wheelchair user, this is not the place for you. The parking lot does not have a sign directing to the accessible parking. Once we found it (around the back by the dumpsters), we found that they didn't pave the curb cut, so instead, I had to roll in the street in order to reach the entrance. Decided to come here for a birthday dinner after hearing so many great reviews. We had a reservation for a party of 7 and were initially seated at a table for 6, but after asking the host, they did move us, which we appreciated. Drink orders were taken right away, and everyone received their drinks except my fiancé. He eventually just ordered a different drink instead. We placed our food order around 7:15, but the appetizers came out one by one instead of together, which already set the tone for the night. Our main courses didn't arrive until around 9:00 PM, almost two hours later. On top of that, two of our dishes were completely forgotten and had to be re-rung and brought out even later. We didn't plan on spending over two hours at dinner, but at that point we didn't have much of a choice. The food itself was actually very good, but not for the price. For a party of 7 where everyone only had one drink, our bill came out to over $1,450, nearly $210 per person. At that price point, there really isn't room for this many mistakes. It was also very obvious that the restaurant was understaffed. One woman was running the entire top floor by herself, taking orders and making drinks. That's not fair to the staff or the guests. The food was alright but I did expect more then they specialize in seafood and steak. I think they should be on point not just alright. For appetizers we got the chorizo mussels and for dinner I had the filet mignon (medium) and Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a New York (medium) and the duck fat potatoes. The mussels, duck fat potatoes and Brussel sprouts were really good. The steaks were a tad disappointing. My steak was over done and my husband New York didn't even have any fat rendered. Like I said above was hoping for good steaks being a steak place. We went here for our 22nd wedding anniversary my husband put some special instructions in the opened table app. Ramsey; our waitress nailed the request! She went able and beyond. The request was to have a picture of Mark Wahlberg at our table (inside joke). Not only was there a picture it was framed and she made a card the entire staff signed. The location is easy to get to, as they are just on Tejon St. and, although there are many pot holes and gravel, there is a parking lot next to the building. I would be cautious taking a nicer vehicle coming here. The hostess was welcoming and seated our party of 7 for dinner. The ambiance is great - dimly lit interior with customizable, dimmable touch lamps, a partial view of the kitchen, faux fireplace around the walls, and beautiful music surround the place. In addition, the aroma of freshly made food smells enticing. To start, we started with appetizers: * 1 Dozen (2 orders of the 1/2) Oysters * Crab Cake * Tuna Tartare * "Million Dollar" Bacon I really enjoyed the Bacon (aka Pork Belly). It was tender and the fat lended great flavor. the Tuna Tartare was also delicious and a perfect starter. For Dinner, our party ordered a variety of steaks and sides. For myself, I ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon with a side of Bordelaise. My steak was cooked to a perfect Medium. We all shared sides so we had a few options to try: * Broccolini * Crispy Duck Fat Potatoes * Truffle Mac & Cheese * Crispy Brussels My favorite was the Crispy Brussels. It had a sweet and sour sesame flavor that was so good - it may have been better than my steak! I loved it so much! And, in general, I just love Brussels Sprouts when cooked/flavored the right way. I also ordered a non-alcoholic drink called "Bee Well," which had a combination of Lemon, Honey, Grapefruit Soda, and Fresh Basil. Absolutely refreshing and right up my alley! Uhh what?! What on earth are people raving about?! Colorado Springs cracks me up when it comes to reading (and relying on!) reviews of fine dining. Apparently y'all have been otherwise dining at Wendy's 4 for $4 and in comparison this is good food? How does one rate "ambiance" when required to navigate monster potholes and a significantly gravel-strewn parking lot moonscape? Set aside the fact that you feel like you're going to get mugged on your way from your car to the entrance... this exterior is dark and sketchy. Strike one. Once inside, there were four people at the hostess station, one being the manager and no one could figure out how to look up from their task to simply acknowledge and greet us. Just look up and say "we'll be right with you". But this all-consuming task took FOUR people at least 4 minutes to process through. Just weird. Strike two. Our whole dinner experience was so peculiar. We were never sure who exactly our server was and it took a very long time for anyone to acknowledge us at the table as well. When we did encounter one server, he was clearly heavily "medicated" and rambled long and incoherently. When you have restaurant owners who brag and brag on their website how great and set apart they are from any other steakhouse, you tend to think maybe they believe what they are saying. Nope. Owners spent all their investment on bragging and not enough on the excellence they claim. Food was mid at best. When you pay top dollar, you expect top ROI. Dinner at the bar with some associates/friends on a Saturday night, and it was awesome. My colleagues knew the bartender, and it was clear that he was a big part of the reason they were regulars. Brief conversation about wine, and he poured two different glasses of exactly what I wanted (one old world, earthy white and one red). Same went for the others, who had a favorite. The group shared a tuna tartare (delicious, a little spice, avocado mixed in), some spinach and mushrooms, and a salmon entree...and a piece of cheesecake, all of which were delightful. The place became pretty crowded (in a good way) as the evening pressed on -- always a good sign (I am a believer that restaurant markets are efficient...and crowded usually means people voting with their feet and wallets and tummies). First time my husband & I have been here. We were celebrating my sister's birthday and wanted a nice steak place. We debated about going to The Pepper Tree, but decided to try a new place and were not disappointed! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the wine list and menu, and very attentive. Came here for a graduation dinner with the family. I have eaten at many steakhouses of this type (shanahans, capital grill, Ruth's chris, Morton's, del friscos etc) and all were better than Prime 25. The good: cocktails were good, wine list was ok and the sides were pretty good. The bad: 3 of us ordered the rib-eye and all of them were tough and had fat and gristle in the center of the steak. Not marbling and not fat on the edges...gristle. They were all probably a little under the med-rare ordered and brother was it an effort to cut them and cut around the gristle. Probably 25% of the steak was left in the plate inedible. Huge disappointment and I have honestly had better steak at Texas Roadhouse. 2 of us ordered the scallops and were similarly disappointed. Lastly, the service was less than other steakhouses too. No bread? The waiter didn't ask us to cut our steaks and check temperature, the plates were delivered by runners rather than the waiter. Not enough wait staff to service a not full restaurant. Waiter was also a bartender upstairs and the bar was really full so he couldn't adequately care for customers at tables. I was surprised when my meat wasn't cooked properly that it took staff 15 minutes to take it back to the kitchen so that my partner was finishing their meal when mine was returning to the table. A friend and I went in for a cocktail and a nosh pre-theater. We each ordered a cocktail and we each ordered what they were calling Panzanella salad. My friend ate hers, but I sent mine back. They sent a bunch of people over to figure out what was wrong, but none of them seem to understand that a panzanella salad without bread in it is false advertising. I was really astonished that no one in their kitchen or on their staff had any idea what a panzanella salad is. Brussel sprouts - 4, a bit over cooked and over sauced however a very delectable taste when a hint of burnt crunch French onion soup- maybe it's me but WAY too much cheese and very stringy like mozzarella. A dryer cheese shaved and crisp would make a huge difference. But that's my preference. Even with the cheese they used a little less is more! Mac and cheese, or Mac and milk. Needs to be stronger, absolutely no flavor. Saves on costs to make Mac and cheese with not enough cheese to stretch the sauce. Caesar salad- phenomenal, the shaved Parmesan cheese was incredible! My boyfriend treated me to dinner here to celebrate Valentines Day early. I have been wanting to try this steak house for a long time, and it did not disappoint! The building is unique and had a modern take but still elegant. We were surprised to see an upstairs but with how quickly they filled up they need the space and loved being sat upstairs. Our waitress Sara was so amazing and knowledgeable about the food, she made sure our drinks were full, the food came out perfectly and on time. She recommended the mojito, which is my favorite alcoholic beverage, so I had to try. It was delicious, could taste the mint and blueberry! We shared the crab cake, the tarter sauce was so good and paired well. I chose the Filet Mignon, it was divine! The meat cut so easily and was a perfect medium rare. The taste was beyond amazing too. We shared the potatoes and Brussels, we were so impressed with the Brussels, we don't typically like them but Sara made them sound so good and to know they were fried we decided to try them and we were so glad that we did! We have returned twice since my last review. A Friday and recently, a Tuesday night, the service was good. Try not to sit in the bar area. The bartender serves the bar, makes drinks and serves nearby tables. It's hard to get enough attention when needed. My steak was good. My boyfriend's first one was we/done instead of medium rare. Second steak was rare, bloody rare. The server said oh well, we rushed it to come out. They did not take it off, the check he couldn't eat it and didn't bother sending it back, but then he was too discouraged. The asparagus was great! However, the shrimp cocktail was hard, frozen like. Our bottle of wine was great too. Our server was wonderful! Pork chop was very avg. Truffle Mac n cheese and steak tartar were gross. Crab cakes are avg. Ambiance is great but overall it's overpriced for what you get. Craziest thing is their burger. No one was stupid enough to try it. Looked up their old menus. 2 yrs ago it was $21. A year ago it was $21. Seven months ago it was $23. Two months ago they raised it to $34! We were seated in a booth, where the pleather was all torn up and cracked, presented our bill in a dirty and falling apart holder, and dust was caked on some of the fixtures. Food was ok.
