    George was super helpful when he came to drop off the scooter. He was very knowledgeable and friendly when explaining how to take part and put together the scooter. Absolutely loved his service.

    I was referred to Prime Medical for a custom wheelchair from my doctor. Initially they seemed great, they came out to measure me for my chair and got it ordered and I was excited. I'm now in a situation that I have to replace that chair after only 2 years because of their mistakes. They made several decisions for me without my knowledge (like the model and sub model, wheel size, castor options, back seat angle, and so much more) and also pushed me to use their dimensions even when I wasn't sure (things like seat angle, inset foot plate distance, and so many other things.) I was also mis-measured on the knee to foot height. They should have measured it so my height was in the middle so I could adjust it up or down depending on my needs but they didn't and it's now to low at the highest setting and my feet hang which causes pain and discomfort. This is my first chair so I thought it was great however the longer I used it the worse it got. I did everything I could to change the chair to make it more comfortable by getting a different seat cushion, wheels, castors, and backrest to name a few. It got to a point I couldn't let them even touch my chair because they damaged my frame so bad they had to replace it. They tried to blame it on a manufacturer defect but their tech stripped out a barrel screw because he didn't know what he was doing. He damaged so many other pieces using vice grips on all of the soft aluminum parts and marred them terribly. After that they weren't allowed to work on my wheelchair at all. They did however still bill my insurance for labor anytime I got anything new. They also ordered me a new seat cushion for "my trouble" after having to replace so many pieces they damaged, it took forever AND, they charged my insurance for that new seat cushion they told me was a gift. I didn't want a new seat cushion or need one at that point. Even if I didn't I would have chosen another Jay cushion as they're awful. They also ordered me the wrong seat back and then lied about it telling me the one I wanted was no longer available. They just wanted to order from their distributor not the other company i'd asked and been approved for. Everything with this company is a nightmare so please don't waste your time or effort with them. Also in the process of me getting a new chair (my doctor sent the referral to them even though I asked them not too) I have a specific make and model I want. When I spoke with someone there I was told me there's no way my insurance would cover the chair I want and that I exceeded the weight limit (I'm not even close to the weight limit). When I asked them how they knew my weigh I was told they have my medical records from my doctor so I asked them what my current weight was. I was told that information was in their archives and couldn't be gotten. The woman I spoke with was happy to basically tell me I'm too fat for the wheelchair I want which is a blatant lie. I know this is long but please take my advice and find a different company because this one is awful. I'm including pictures of the damaged parts from the tech using vice grips on aluminum.

    i have to say I am so grateful that this product was fully covered by the insurance for my mother and prime medical has been so efficient in getting this to us so fast. Jorge the guy that brought it I would like to thank you for being so kind and patient in showing us all the features and how the pioneer 10 works . I would highly recommend anyone that is in need of any kind of products to help please reach out to your provider and have them refer you to prime medical insurance covered 100% they are great at helping patients and their staff is friendly and great at their jobs thank you guys

    Every time I have needed something, Prime Medical has stepped up to the plate. Between Mr. Davis, and Carlos, and Michelle, I could not be happier with my service. They are the number one place I ever go to for anything medically related. You can't go wrong!

    On February 10, 2026 I went with my father-in-law to Specialty Medical to purchase an electric…read morewheelchair. I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner.
