We came here on a Friday evening around 7 PM after seeing that they advertised live music from 5:30-11 PM, but there was no music when we arrived. Honestly, it didn't even feel open at first, the lighting was very bright and the atmosphere lacked that typical dinner vibe. That said, we had a reservation and were seated quickly, which was a plus. Our bartender/server was very nice, attentive, and offered helpful recommendations. The drinks were definitely a highlight, the Biscoff espresso martini was especially delicious. For food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The regular house salad wasn't enjoyable, the dressing tasted like straight mayonnaise. The Caesar salad dressing, on the other hand, was great, but the lettuce was slightly wilted. The oxtail appetizer was absolutely delicious, easily one of the best things we ordered. Unfortunately, the main dishes didn't live up to that. The stuffed chicken breast was extremely overcooked, very dry, and lacked flavor. The broccolini needed a few more minutes of cooking and some seasoning, though the mashed potatoes were actually good. The steak was cooked to the requested temperature, but it also lacked flavor. Dessert brought things back up a bit, the carrot cake was delicious, and the chocolate cake was very rich. Live music finally started around 8:30 PM, and the singer was fantastic, she really helped elevate the experience once things got going. Overall, there were some strong highlights (drinks, oxtails, dessert, and service), but also some inconsistencies with the food and atmosphere that kept it from being a great experience. I love the cigar selection and what I love most is that the humidor is small and you don't have to worry about having so many options. My problem with this restaurant specifically was, I assumed the floor manager whom came to our table and pretty much told us we had to stop our gift exchange because some of the gift baskets had alcohol (mini shots) of course we were not opening or partaking in the alcohol. We were literally just exchanging gifts. I understand the liquor, ordinance and serving of alcohol. However, they were all sealed bottles. None of them were opened. Most of them were hot glued to sticks because they were entered it inside the Stanley cup gift basket so no one was opening or unpacking the alcohol in question no different than if you gifted somebody a sealed bottle in a gift bag for their birthday present. I could completely understand how it may have came off. It was the way it was addressed, which was very unmanageable for someone who I assume was the manager. At this time, we had only ordered drinks and none of them had came out. The party was ready to leave. We chose not to because the accommodations we all made plus we all had to valet at $20/car with 11 of us total. As far as our food and service, Lynn was amazing. I would say, we had a party of about 12 and it was only one server taking our drink and food orders while another was just walking past, not helping. My friend ordered the oxtail stew and she sent it back along with someone else because it was pretty hard to chew. The Brussels sprouts in my option were the best thing on the menu. Multiple people at the table tried it and thought the same thing. The broccolini was cold and watery when It got to the table. I also shared the red snapper, Rockefeller oysters, and mixed vegetables with my sister. The steak was well seasoned, but I ordered it medium-well and it arrived well-done and dry. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and drenched in teriyaki sauce rather than thoughtfully prepared. The mixed vegetables tasted like they came from a frozen bag--and some were actually still frozen in the center. The red snapper also tasted as though it had just been thawed rather than freshly prepared. The Rockefeller oysters had a heavy, creamy cheese topping and were overcooked. I will say that others in our party ordered the lamb and pasta dishes and enjoyed their meals, so our experience wasn't negative across the board. I expected Prime on Peachtree to be expensive, so the price itself wasn't a surprise. My disappointment was that the quality and preparation of the food did not justify that price. When I'm paying steakhouse-level prices, I expect steakhouse-level ingredients, preparation, and culinary execution. I can for a dinner party on a Friday night. The service was good. I enjoyed the food and drinks. My only issue about the drink is they charge two seperate fees for a drink. They charge for the liquor and then they charge for the drink. For example I ordered a lemon drop I was charged for a lemon drop and then the liquor instead of it being a flat fee. For dinner I did the 3 course for $55 which is a great value. I choose the ceaser salad, salmon w/ broccoli and mash potatoes. The salmon was well seasoned and juicy. My bf got the ribeye and macaroni and cheese which was good as well. I enjoyed the lambchops and lobster tails. I will definitely be returning for dinner and brunch. read more

We were staying at the Loews Hotel and chose Prime on Peachtree because of its convenience. The restaurant is very nice with modern jazz inspired decor. There was a live band playing on Saturday night but they were t overly loud or distracting. Our waiter and the staff were very attentive and timely. I'm not really sure what I was expecting but the food was good. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as the prices suggest. The gumbo had a very good flavor, but some of the crab and meat were very overcooked. Same with the crab and mussels in the seafood Alfredo. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and well seasoned, but looked like it could've easily come from Golden Corral. Overall, the food was ok, and the restaurant was nice; but it was not a $230.00 meal. Make sure to take a look at the cocktail menu crafted by mixologist Tanisa Murray, which features beverages like the Blue Lychee, West Peachtree, and Passion Potion. His macaroni and cheese was also creamy and cheesy. The broccolini was also well prepared; however, the sweet potatoes were undercooked and lacked flavor. The addition of a cabbage wedge was a novel addition to the Rack of Lamb dish, which was well received by my friends. Where do I begin? I came here for a birthday. It was a large party (party of 30) that was planned over a month in advance with a pre-set menu. We sat up top at the event section and it was so hot! We asked for the AC to be turned on and the manager "Keelen" or however you spell it told us that "heat rises" and that the AC isn't working. After begging, they pulled out some fans from the back so we wouldn't all sweat out our nice outfits. Now let's talk about the service: The service was poor. We got here and sat for about 30 mins (we had 90% of our party present) and were not offered any water or ANYTHING for that matter. We were also incorrectly told that the party had an (open bar) which resulted in an immediate line at the bar . Once everyone's drinks came out, we were then told that the bar was NOT open and that everyone had to pay for their drinks separately. That was annoying, but I had already planned on buying a drink or two since it was never mentioned prior that it was an open bar. Our event started at 8pm and we didn't get our food until 11:30 or so. And it was BLAND! Omg it was so horrible. No seasoning whatsoever. Many of us got the salmon Alfredo and it was pitiful. 1/10 . Others of us got the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans and they said it wasn't bad. Those of us who got the salmon Alfredo however, were highly disappointed. The manager came up one time to tell us that we couldn't play a particular type of music but he never once came in the beginning to acknowledge us or to apologize directly for it being so hot and uncomfortable. This was a terrible experience I don't blame the servers really, I feel as though they are poorly trained and the establishment overall doesn't have a good workflow from service, to the kitchen, to the management. read more

Starting off good the food was very good and they gave me a lot of pasta. One of the best chicken pastas I've had in Atlanta. Our serve was very good. She provided recommendations and even offered substitutions. The drinks were on the ok side not strong more juice for the price. For the not so good paying 20 dollars to park just to go eat, paying 20 for what suppose to be valet and having to park your own car because the valet guy was in his car on the phone smoking, not good at all. I was about 20 minutes late for the dinner and when I arrived I sat for 15 minutes before the table was even served water. Then we had to pour the water ourselves. With paying 20 to park and 20% gratuity, I did expect things to be more elevated in service. It a very place and a beautiful inside. I would go back if someone wants to. read more

.One of the worst places to eat. That's not true because we never got served any food because the waitstaff is a bunch of lazy people. Made a reservation, why, no one is in there but 3 tables. Got seated and that was the last contact we had. Zero service. Could see them sitting in the back not working. We waited along with other patrons and no one came out. When we left the finally got off their lazy butts and came out. Zero effort to find out why we're leaving. Useless and at the prices they charge they won't be open long. I always support black own businesses even though some of them will gouge you on price. Black people, we know this going in! The good ones, I leave a positive review and the bad ones, I say nothing and never go there again. The waiter at Prime screwed up my order (didn't write it down) and brought me and my wife three meals for the two of us and the manager wouldn't take the 3rd meal off the bill but, that's not even the kicker. These MFs charged me a resturant fee to eat in the resturant. Check your bill people. Prime invented some new shit to get money. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant for my birthday. When we arrived, we had to pay $20 to park, which is typical for Atlanta. It was a Friday night, and surprisingly, there were only 14 guests in the restaurant! After being seated, a server came over to take our drink orders. After dropping off our waters, he mentioned that our waitress would be with us shortly. However, it took about 20 minutes for the bartender to come out from behind the bar because the waitress was overwhelmed and didn't want to take any more tables. While the bartender was nice and attentive, the overpriced, mediocre food, combined with the service fee and mandatory 20% gratuity, made the experience not worth it. read more
