I was there on a Thursday night just before the 2nd happy hour. 1st happy hour was 2:00-5:00 or something like that. 2nd happy hour is 9:00-close. I stopped by today during their happy hour and also caught part of the Spain v. France World Cup semifinal game. My initial impression.. I was unimpressed. I sat at the bar for a full 20 minutes while two bartenders chatted nearby. Finally I caught someone's attention and ordered some food. She took my order begrudgingly it seemed. She didn't bring me any water or ask if I wanted to order a drink. The food arrived and it was decent. But she failed to check in or see if I needed anything else. She basically ghosted me. I had to track down another bartender to get some water. He actually asked me if I needed anything else. The restaurant itself is rather dark. I think it could use some additional lighting. The happy hour prices and choices were pretty good. I don't know if I will return since the first half of my experience was so dismal. The second bartender was helpful and he basically rescued the experience for me. But I don't think it bodes well for a restaurant if the experience is dramatically different depending on the luck of the draw/ bartender. read more

I hadn't been to STK in years, but returned when I was invited to a birthday dinner. My last experience here left a lot to be desired, but I kept an open mind. There are a few parking lots and a deck nearby. My first impression was it's loud. It was definitely a party atmosphere. Started off with a sidecar that was made very well. After noticing other tables had bread, someone in our party requested it and it was eventually brought out. The bread was very good and I enjoyed the chive butter that accompanied it. For my entree, I ordered the steak frites and a side of wagyu fried rice. The steak was cooked medium ask requested and the garlic butter definitely added a nice touch. The fries were bland. I looked forward to the wagyu fried rice, but it was fairly bland as well. The sauce that came with it made it better. There were several birthdays and even a few engagements. The restaurant atmosphere was very relaxed, and the ambiance was nice. The servers we had were phenomenal--very attentive and pleasant. That said, the food is extremely overpriced, especially for dinner. They do offer a happy hour menu, which I ordered from, but it isn't available until 9:00 PM. That worked out for us since our reservation was at 8:00 PM. One thing to note: they wanted to charge us $55 just to cut a cake, which felt excessive. Overall, the food was okay, but not impressive enough to justify the pricing. They do validate parking for two hours if you park in the deck, but after that it's $3 every 30 minutes. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested, and the sides -the mac and cheese and asparagus were delicious. Also worth mentioning: the bread came out warm and fluffy, which was a nice touch. They also validate parking for two hours in the attached garage, which makes the experience more convenient. Overall, definitely worth checking out for the Steak Night deal. I am so disappointed to reduce my 4-star review to a 2-star review, and even more disappointed that my most recent visit didn't live up to the hype of my first time. Dined in on a Saturday evening in a party of 2, super excited to come back with my mind set on the steak w/ umami butter and those magical mashed potatoes from the first visit and honestly, the experience just fell flat. Beginning with the bread, it came out cold and barely had a smear of the blue cheese butter on top, which is the star of the show. Looking at the other tables, they had an abundance of the butter, so I'm not sure why we received different treatment. For a drink, I got their variation of the espresso martini with tequila, which was good! No complaints there. For my entree, I got their variation 6 oz filet with the umami butter which they serve table side and is pretty cool. I can honestly say, it didn't do much flavor wise. Whatever sauce they provided on the side was really delicious though! The brussel sprouts were okay -- could use a touch more salt as could the mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if their menu changed but comparing pictures of the mashed potatoes we got the first time with what we received this time, I can now see why the flavor was so lackluster this time! Service was lackluster and our waiter clearly had favorites in his interactions with other tables as I had to ask multiple times for something simple like a straw for our water. Steaks also came with no steak knives. Consistency is so important to me when it comes to dining -- not sure if I will be back, especially for $150/person. read more

Part of my anniversary weekend me an my wife went STK Steakhouse yesterday and everything hit right. My cowgirl steak cooked medium well was juicy and full of flavor, just how I like it. The Yukon parmesan crusted potatoes were on point, and that cream spinach set it off. My wife's lamb chops though... next level . I have given this place chance after chance and it's so disappointing every time!!!! The food is just not good. It always taste old like it's the leftovers from the day prior. I ordered a bunless burger with fries. It took forever and I'm not sure why. I had to ask about it before they brought it out. The fries were obviously fried hard or too long bc they were hard as a rock. I almost broke my crown eating them. They taste like they were fried twice. They could have made it a lettuce wrap burger since I said no bun but that's too much to ask. I've eaten here for happy hour and dinner. The calamari tasted not fresh and old. The steak was mediocre. Historically, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered a birthday dinner for my sister who had a layover in the area. Sadly, the staff were very rude to the service industry personnel picking up and delivering the order for her for even asking for Parmesan. They also forgot the main dish and only sent the salad which was later refunded by Uber. KINDNESS is free, professionalism is expected. I hope Management uses this as a teaching moment, as it hurts both their customer base and the service industry kids helping support their establishment. read more

We were greeted within 50 seconds of entering. It wasn't a real since of urgency and they were not busy, so that wasn't understandable. It was during happy hour. We were so excited because it was our date night. We have heard so much about this restaurant and was excited only to end up being very disappointed. Our server was a bit relaxed but nice. It was a couple who had been there before we arrived and it seems that they were waiting a while for drinks and food. Never once did we get an explanation for the delay bit we watched a couple near by to get served quickly. The sides were delish but my main, which was a cowgirl steak was disappointing. It was thin and I mean thinner pork chop thin. I had barely ate any of it and told our server. She mentioned that it was supposed to be that thin. I expressed my disappointment again and she off to the side told the manager. The manager did not come see about us. It was like oh well sick it up. We are STK and you are just 1 couple out of 40 that we will see today. The server offered to ask the chef to cook the steak more which made no sense. She even whispered to me that it was thin, but no correction. No offer to get the Chef. We were offered some shot, but it took even a minute to get that. Came here recently for their $49 steak deal recently and had a decent experience. I think it's an affordable concept to get new customers in the door. I've been here before for HH but never for dinner so I was excited to try their menu. The $49 steak deal comes with a starter, entree, side and a dessert to share. I ordered the lil waygu beef sliders which were really good. Tastes like an elevated Big Ma from Mickey D's. I'm not a steak person so I'm glad they had other entree options to choose from. I got the sea bass. It was good. Not rave worthy. But decent. The sweet sauce threw me off a bit. The asparagus were grilled and a nice healthy size. The Mac n cheese was good as well. Not runny but is made Southern style. The dessert was the disappointing part. It took a good 25-30 minutes to come and they arrived cold. Our server truly began to slack towards the end. And when we sat down initially, it took a while for someone to finally come to the table so took off a star for the service. And also getting the wrong drink too. Meh... steaks way more well done than a rare plus or even a medium rare. Many items not even available and two orders of the same steak cooked at the same temp seemed like two total different cuts. Once upon a time this may have been good but now it's trying to live on its reputation from ten years ago. Hard pass on there being a next time. Took 9 clients out to dinner while in ATL. Lots of appetizers and drinks. One odd thing, we ordered a bunch of apps and our server said we couldn't put in the apps till we ordered our main course? Strange but no big deal. Food was excellent but service very slow. Not a consistent check in of "how are you all doing?" We spent over $2K, I feel like we shouldn't have to track anyone down, but again great food. We also had some drinks at the bar and the receipt is emailed. (We did not get it.) Could have been our fault but we went back the next day to get a copy of the receipt and the 2 2 behind the bar were not helpful at all. We waited and waited for manager but no show. Had to keep asking where is the manager? And we spent another $150 while we were waiting. I would have fired employees for such a gross lack of attention to a customer who had spent over $2500 i. 24 hours. My boyfriend surprised me with dinner here--it was our first time dining at STK, though I had definitely heard of it before. The ambiance was decent, but we found the seating arrangement a bit awkward, as we were facing other guests on all sides. The service was great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and our server, Nya, was especially nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we were not impressed. We ordered the Dry Aged Delmonico steak ($117) along with two sides--the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Potato Gratin ($20 each). The steak had decent flavor, but it was not worth the price at all. The Brussels sprouts were barely warm and not crispy, and the potato gratin was quite dry. Honestly, we could've made a better meal at home. Casey was a terrific server, but also was caught in the middle of a Mother's Day nightmare. Food was let's just say incredibly overpriced, good but at the end of the day for a couple of glasses of wine, glass of champagne, two entrées and one crabcake for $400 is outrageous. So, my recommendation on this particular restaurant is do not go on a holiday. Lastly, after I kind of begged for a table with the manager 15 minutes later, they put us upstairs (which I did not know even existed) and was about empty. We finally got a table. I was visiting Atlanta for a conference and STK was right by my hotel so my husband, son, and I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is gorgeous and I like their half circle booths. I was able to reserve a table less than an hour that I planned to be there. It felt like a really cute date night spot. I had an idea of what I wanted since I peaked at the menu, but upon asking I was told I was looking at the pickup/delivery menu. I ended up thr braised short ribs and potatoes with a side of mac and cheese. My husband ordered the free range chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts. Drinks: Dragon's Flare and Perfect Margarita. Everything was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were the star for me. Even though I knew the price ahead of time, I still felt the restaurant was a little overpriced. Finally got a chance to stop by STK for their happy hour, I frequent this area and I have always told myself that I would stop and dine in one day. While I was between meetings I decided to take a trip. The restaurant was empty when I got inside, just how I like it. It is massive inside, when you are looking at the entrance from outside you wouldn't have a good idea of how much space it has inside. Plenty of seats, the bar area was a little small and since I was recording I sat at my own table. Service was A1, the waitress greeted me with a smile, gave me a run down on the menu, took my order quickly and I started eating not too long after I ordered. Again the restaurant was not busy, could be because it was still early, or because it was a Wednesday. But one would think more people would take advantage of the deals. Food was really good and the variety of options they had was very impressive. They have several items on the menu for $3, $6, $9. I came here for a happy hour dinner with some friends. The portion sizes of the happy hour menu is diabolical. Everything is very very miniature so you need to be very particular about what you order if you are hungry. I ordered the burger with fries and the quesadilla. We recently dined at STK Steakhouse and unfortunately the experience was far below expectations, especially given the restaurant's reputation and pricing. The problems started at the bar while we were waiting for our reserved table. We ordered drinks from the bartender, but when our table became available, the bartender apparently canceled the orders and shifted them to the waitress without informing either our party or the server. As a result, nobody knew what had happened, and we were left waiting and confused. When I raised the issue with the bartender, the response was defensive rather than focused on resolving the situation. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our party of seven waited nearly an hour for our food. Throughout the evening, there seemed to be significant operational challenges, with staff blaming other departments rather than taking ownership of issues. The lack of communication and coordination was evident. The bright spot of the evening was the kitchen. When the food finally arrived, it was very good and ultimately saved what otherwise would have been a completely disappointing experience. The quality of the food is the reason I'm giving more than one star. STK has the potential to deliver a great dining experience, but the front-of-house operations, communication, and customer service need significant improvement. read more

We were expecting very well-seasoned steaks and amazing add-ons, especially for the steep prices. The steaks did not have much flavor, even with the added truffle butter. Also the butter add-ons were a simple a pat of butter melted over the steak for $12. The sides were not great either - mac and cheese and potato gratin also kinda bland. The asparagus was ok. Also, for the "premium" cocktails, I ordered a drink that included Belvedere and caught the bartender using Tito's instead, and made him remake it.
