    Initial Milage

    I bought a Volvo s80 from Prime Sales earlier this year, and have been heavily disappointed. The initial purchase and inspection of the car was smooth. They allow test-drives and you can look at the car all you want. I also found the car fax and was happy to see it had one owner who didn't use it much. Under the hood I found a new timing belt, which wasn't reported on the car fax, so I brought that up and they said that some things aren't reported. Understandable, I thought--but perhaps I shouldn't have been so naive. I asked if there was more that wasn't reported, and they told it had a solid engine and suspension that had work done. Not much longer than a month afterwards, I hear rattling noises coming from the engine--so I take it into the mechanic and I'm told there's about three and a half thousand dollars worth of engine and suspension repair work to be done. The front bushings, strut mount bearings, front lower control arm, and tire rods all need replacing--and I've already dropped a few hundred dollars just to get the rattling to stop. I knew that buying a used car would come with some repairs down the line. I didn't expect to get something in tip-top shape--yet, honesty and transparency would've been appreciated, had it been given. Asking about the condition of the car is something every customer should feel safe doing, and the trust implicit in this transaction I feel was disrespected. Update 8/26: Roman, thank you for the quick response. Yes, the car was purchased in late April, and it's now August. I've attached photos of the odometer reading at the time of purchase, and today, 8/26. It's a difference of about three thousand miles. Over four months, I've driven three thousand miles--well below the national average. I put myself through school and pay my own rent as a 21 year old. I drove out from LA to Santa Ana twice to buy this car because I thought they were reliable and trustworthy people, but now they won't budge an inch and pile burner accounts against an honest review which gave a truthful experience working with this dealership. Bringing the car to a third party is normal--establishing and maintaining a relationship with your mechanic can never hurt. Yet, that the car persists with expensive difficulties after being driven little and modestly, almost immediately after being purchased, that is what's not normal. This leads me to conclude it can't have been in the condition it was said to be upon being sold, and that they've happily short-changed me. Nobody can expect a used car to be in perfect condition, but if Prime Sales claims they do thorough inspections, they should be honest about what they find.

    I did my research online and found this place on Carguru. I was looking for a used vehicle and within an hour, I sent Tony a text that I was on my way. The car was ready and waiting for me. Did the test drive, some paperwork and about an hour later I was leaving with a great car I. Great condition at an amazing price. I would highly recommend this place if you're in The market for a high quality used vehicle. Ask for Tony, he will treat you right!

They are located at 17541 Beach Blvd, HB at the corner of Beach and Slater. I am an Enterprise Car Rental Member and had rented a great Nissan. I spoke to the Car Sales Team right next door who went the distance to find me the same car and brought it in immediately upon returning my rental. The Team was very nice, attentive and accommodating while I waited for my appointment with my New Sales Person. The star that shined that day was my Salesman Dusty! He was patient, kind, knowledgeable and was really outstanding in every way. No pressure and made sure I had everything I would need to keep the car well taken care of and went the distance to assist with obtaining insurance and showing me the bells and whistles of my great car. Although I was already sold on my make and model, he was willing to let me look over any other vehicles I may still have an interest in so I was 100 % happy with my decision and I was. Dusty proves over and over again that excellent customer service still exists and is always there to answer any questions even after the sale. Test drive went well and salesman was helpful and friendly. i was interested in discussing numbers on a certified preowned Highlander. Upon sitting down to review numbers I was informed they did not have the hybrid model I was looking for and instead presented me with two options - a new Highlander or a new Grand Highlander. Neither was what I was looking for and both were out of my budget which i had said from the start. They wanted to earn my business so I was then handed off to the sales manager I could only describe as a stereotypical used car salesman, looked all of 20, who tried tell me that despite wanting a cash deal on a preowned that it would actually be smarter for me to finance a much more expensive car for a few months then just pay off the balance.. Where do you find these guys? I genuinely feel bad for anybody who is not car or financially savvy who deals with these sharks. Clearly Dan Wilson's business model incentivizes this type of behavior. I was insulted that they thought I was so thick I'd fall for that. Furthermore, the Sales manager then acted offended that I had wasted his time when he had offered such a good deal. Instead I went to Toyota of Glendale, was helped in a friendly way, was not jerked around, settled on the out the door price and I did the deal same day. Funny enough now Huntington Beach Toyota wants my service business. Are you kidding me? I'll happily drive further to not have to deal with Huntington Beach Toyota.

Used car sales can carry a negative stigma, but from our first impression, there was no pressure or typical sales tactics--just a team focused on helping us with the Kia EV9. When we sat down to go over financing and numbers with Frank, we expected the usual back-and-forth with a sales manager--but that wasn't the case at all. He was straightforward, honest, and just as professional. The entire team was transparent, including clearly explaining the ceramic coating add-on so there were no surprises. Even after we left the lot, they continued to go above and beyond--quickly addressing a couple of follow-up questions and a small concern we had. We absolutely love our EV9, and we've already been recommending them to others looking to get into an EV. If you're in the market for a well-maintained EV and a smooth, no-pressure buying experience, this is the place to go.

It's mentioned in the listing that this may be the case, but it's always the case on every car. What I REALLY didn't like though was the "extra" DMV fees, which is not allowed. Those are fixed costs...Last, when asked about the manufacturer warranty, it was overstated. We did like our sales rep, inventory, but the pricing strategy was really not ideal.
