I rarely write reviews, but after my experience with Class Auto Center in Long Beach, I felt I owed them one, especially Mario Escalante. I brought my Tesla Model Y in for a repair, and from the beginning the team was very responsive. They made scheduling easy, communicated directly with my insurance company, and handled everything so I didn't have to deal with any payment or insurance headaches. There was a small miscommunication about the pickup time because an employee unexpectedly had to leave work after not feeling well. Things happen. What impressed me was how Mario (Escalante) handled it. He immediately took responsibility, apologized for the delay and the wait, and, most importantly, asked what he could do to make the experience better. No excuses, just a genuine effort to take care of the customer. I mentioned that I also had a small scratch on the rear door that wasn't part of the original repair. Mario told me to bring the car back when I had time and that he would take care of it at no charge. A week or two later, I brought the car back. Not only did they take care of the scratch and repaint the area beautifully, they detailed the entire car. When I picked it up, my Model Y honestly looked like it had just come out of a Tesla showroom. That is what great customer service looks like to me. Problems or misunderstandings can happen anywhere. What matters is how people respond to them, and Mario went above and beyond to turn a small inconvenience into an excellent experience. Mario, I owe you this review. Thank you for taking care of me and my car. And to the management at Class Auto Center: employees like Mario are the people you want representing your business. He deserves recognition, and in my opinion, consideration for a promotion or raise. Excellent service. Superb quality and durability. Their paint is as good - if not better than - factory paint. Also, they do take care of their customers and provide the "touching care" of your car after they painted it, even many years after that. So, if you scratched it or got some hard to remove stains on it, as I did, they are going to remove it professionally and perfectly at no charge (if it's minor). I had a particularly good experience with service advisor Kent. Always willing to help and to make arrangements easy for the customer. A terrible experience. I wasn't familiar with this place; I visited today and from the start there were problems with the car in front, forcing us to back up. They were very disorganized. My car came out with three scratches on the door, the water smelled awful, and I think the cleaning cloths on the machines are very worn, which is why they don't clean properly and have that musty smell. I was rear ended in my Tesla and referred to Class Auto Center by my Tesla service center. Mary was very responsive and easy to work with. She came to my house to assess damages and take pictures. She ordered parts and returned one because of a small scratch. She didn't take my car until they had all the parts and were ready to go. She then arranged to pick up my car since I'm in the South Bay and the shop is in Long Beach. Mary was great at keeping me informed on how the repairs were going and made sure the color matched perfectly. The shop was able to get an entirely new bumper for my car and I got it back perfectly detailed and it felt brand new again. I play beach volleyball so it's not easy to get all of the sand out. My car was picked up on a Tuesday afternoon and I got it back EOD on the following Thursday so about 71/2 business days. I'd highly recommend. read more

I have had great work done here before, so it was the obvious choice when my Wife's Mercedes got damaged. Yes I can tell you they did immaculate work, but well beyond that, the insurance companies were a nightmare, and delayed everything, and wanted to put in used parts, well Arthur fought for weeks with them, and put up with me and my wife calling him day after day, and never lost his professionalism. I wish my husband did his due diligence and looked at this business's yelp reviews first and take the warnings. We went thru similar situations as previous yelpers. We tried calling so many times - and never received a call back. When we finally did, it took a very long time - and they said our dent was considered "totaled". I incidentally hit a storage rack in my garage while parking my scratch-less car. It left a big white mark on a fender. I took my car to Class Auto Center and they "magically" removed that mark completely so that my car is scratch-less, again, as it was before the incident. I have been Class Auto Center customer for about three decades, now, and have never been disappointed with their superb work and friendly service. Saving your time get away from this place! Waste of 6 weeks for nothing! We went to this place on 09/13 for a minor accident of my car. Easy to fix usually only takes 2 days at other shop. The guy give me a business card and told us we have to come back on November 7, they will order the parts and confirm with insurance agency to get approval. My husband doesn't want to spend 2 months to wait. But I thought they looks responsible and maybe they could fix his car perfectly, so we finally agree to wait. However!!! I was called on Monday 10/24 tried to confirmed my husband's appointment, the lady even didn't ask his first name, just told me my husband appointment is on 11/01, the date seems not right for us, but the lady just said they will text me appointment and put information into system and hang up. So I start to wait, until Friday 10/28, I still didn't get any text or phone call from them. I had to call back and check what's going on, after a few phone calls, they seemed have no idea about everything, and the November 1st is another guy's appointment, and they told me now parts have to be wait more than 4 months. But seriously? My husband's car just got some scratch. Overall, I was astonished by how they treat customer as shit, there's probably a global shortage of auto parts. A grossly inflated damage report to the insurance co resulted in a Carfax report that looked like MAJOR damage. I had a very difficult time selling the vehicle after providing prospective buyers with the bogus Carfax report. Luckily, I still had numerous pics of the vehicle before the Class Auto repair to show the buyers. I ended up selling a 9 month old vehicle for $4000 less than its Blue Book value. Class Auto does good work. But, their business ethics could stand some considerable improvement. Make sure you take pics of the damage before delivering to any body shop. Damage within the first year of new car ownership is very depressing and selling the vehicle often eases the pain because it's never the same. read more
