I dropped nearly three bills for a NEW dive computer. What I received in the was used and worn. There was no shrinkwrap, and the original packaging is worn and torn. The dive computer itself has fingerprints, smudges and dust all over it. I immediately contacted them for a return, refund, and and a shipping label. They are unresponsive. Caveat emptor! read more

I stopped in to Prime Scuba during my last trip to New York for a (very) last minute Christmas gift for a friend. I'm not what you would call an avid diver, so I was just going to grab a gift card and go, but the staff was so helpful that I ended up with the perfect gift! Apparently, they are all divers, so they really know what they're doing. I think the name of the guy who helped me was Gary, and I am so grateful that he offered to help. I ended up picking out a sweet gear bag that my friend loved, and I didn't have to feel bad about giving an impersonal gift card (I'm not a fan of doing that if I can help it). Overall, it was a great experience. I may even go back for some GoPro accessories when I'm back in NY next month. :) read more

Horrible customer service and defective merchandise. Ordered a rash guard twice - small then medium. Both were tight and uncomfortable - I've tried on many rash guards but never one so misfitted. Returned both. First return received full refund; second return only received 50% refund with explanation that item was returned with a hole in it, which was either a lie or someone at store damaged it as I'd tried on once and returned in original condition. Purchased a Hollis wing and two other items online and order was cancelled without notice. I called them after about a week to check up on my order and that is when I was given the news. Poor business acumen! read more

I found them on google, before I make the purchase made sure they have a return policy in case the product does not work. Unfortunately the mask I received was defected. When I contacted them to return my item, they said they will only exchange because I used the product. I had no problem with exchange but they never responded or bothered to answer my emails. Purchased Regulators from Prime, They Cancelled the purchased and now I can't get my money back!! Not a reputable business!!

Well, I hope things have turned around for Prime Scuba over two years, at least as represented on Yelp. I purchased a complete set of dive gear from them via Amazon and everything arrived exactly as promised, beginning with packaging & shipping, or better in the case the more current dive computer that was substituted instead of what I had ordered as part of the package. Everything in factory sealed boxes, (or plastic per the BC), with inspection labels, warranties, shiny and new. Everything worked great on my first dive with the new gear. I had a question on the regulator when it first arrived and Garry called the manufacturer to ensure all was in order and called me back. It's a great package they put together at a great price. Terrible place to do business with. I ordered a wet suit which was too small, I wanted to return the suit. But, I clicked exchange for a larger size instead, realizing my mistake I immediately canceled the exchange for a refund . I received a claim denied Ten days later I got another suit, also too small. So returned it for a total refund this time (mind you I already spent $28 dollars in shipping fees). Prime scuba does not offer to pay for return shipping. It took them a while to acknowledge receiving my returned item. I had a USPS confirmation number that they had indeed received it. After waiting another week and sending them another e mail Prime Scuba admits receiving my return package. A few days later they said they could not find it and promised to return the funds to my credit card. I waited for another week and not hearing from Prime Scuba, I contacted Amazon. This process from order to refund took almost two months to resolve. read more

Prime Scuba provides horrendous customer service and does not stand by the quality of its products. I purchased a dive mask that was clearly defective and leaked like a sieve. They only refunded 50% of the purchase price even though it was defective. When I contacted them through Amazon for a full refund, they did not even give the courtesy of a reply. Fortunately, Amazon refunded the other half and cited the unacceptable business practice of Prime Scuba on this order. This company has no integrity whatsoever. read more

Bad business, stay away. I ordered a back plate and wing from them recently. Back plate that was shipped to me was an older, discontinued model. The wing was shipped with the wrong dump tube assembly even though they asked me to specify which style I wanted when ordering. When I called to notify them that it was wrong, they told me "sorry, we do not have that". Sorry does not fix the problem...obviously retaining customers is not important to this company! i purchased online a 1600 dollar computer watch. i called the store seeing the item they said was in stock was not shipped. they said they made a mistake and that watch with the band i purchased was not available. they offered me the same watch with a cheaper band for about the same price. when i told them that was not acceptable they offered me another watch i was interested at cost....except another site leisure pro had it cheaper. these guys were obviously out to scam me. buyer be ware!!!! read more
