Went there on Fathers Day. Great additions to the menu - there were a lot of added specialty drinks, a great addition to the appetizers of avocado, mango and tuna - I loved it, and to the meats, a half rack of Colorado lamb, which was absolutely delicious. Even the desserts had an addition, and that was fried raviolis, What a memorable meal to celebrate Fathers Day. I'll start with the valet parking. Upon entering the location, I noticed that their parking lot looked full, and the valet workers were driving out of the parking lot with the cars. I asked one of the workers if the lot was full and where they were going to park the incoming cars. He told me that they had an "additional parking lot" behind the location. I decided to drive out myself and go find street parking. I ended up finding a parking spot on a street called Madeleine Place, which was about a block and a half away from the restaurant. This was when I noticed that the valet workers were actually parking the vehicles on the same exact block. I didn't appreciate that I was lied to in regard to having an additional parking lot behind the location because I think it's important for the patrons to know where exactly their car will be while they are having dinner. After entering the restaurant, we were told to have a drink at the bar because our table wasn't ready yet, which was fine because we were several minutes early. The hostess told us that a table was paying and we would be seated shortly. While we were at the bar waiting, we must have seen three or four tables of two that had left the location. We thought we would be seated at one of those tables, however, we were actually taken to a dining area upstairs. Just to preface, the person I was dining with has dined at this restaurant numerous times with another friend who is extremely generous when it comes to paying and leaving a tip. However, on this particular night, that friend was not with us, and I feel strongly that is the reason why they did not seat us at one of those empty tables on the first floor. They brought us upstairs to a more secluded dining area. The service upstairs was significantly worse compared to the service that my friend had received numerous times on the first floor. You could also see the difference in patrons between the first floor and second floor. The food.. Presentation is great! But the taste -- sub-par! We ordered the baked artichoke from the appetizer menu, which was loaded with some type of dressing and so much cheese that you could barely taste the artichoke. We also ordered a Caesar salad, which was so mediocre. We ordered a side of asparagus was very bland. We then ordered the filet mignon, which was decent, but I feel like it's overpriced for the taste. In regard to our drink order, we were only asked once if we wanted a drink, and we felt extremely rushed throughout. I'm only giving this three stars because I can't give it 2 1/2. I personally did not have a good experience at this restaurant and I definitely won't be returning nor will I recommend it. We went there the other night, Rigatoni with sweet and hot sausage with a vodka sauce amazing, Fried Burrata is a must, Veal Chop with hot cherry peppers, and we got veal Milanese was great, my son got the 9oz filet mignon, and we also got the Branzino what a dish. Came here last night for my uncle's birthday. There was a large group of us so we were able to have a variety of shared appetizers. The rock shrimp special in vodka sauce and the bacon were my two favorite apps. For my meal, i got the chicken parm with vodka sauce. Not only was it amazing, the portion was basically large enough for multiple meals. Definitely brought leftovers home. The live music was great in the background, and not so loud you can't talk. We had a reservation for 7:00pm- we had to wait about 15 minutes or so. Best server ever alert- Christina! Amazing- attentive and admirable for the recommendations and service. Food- 5 stars, I would say that just a bit more salt would be great. We did ask for salt and pepper. The crispy artichokes were hands down were one of the most crispy and delicious appetizers I've ever had. 10/10! They start with a few loves bread and oil- great way to start. The Cacio e Pepe was good but just a tad bit more salt and less pasta water- I could taste that. Needed a bit more creaminess. Beef Wellington: bomb. We typically choose restaurants like this for special occasions, and this Christmas Eve we decided to try Primi Italian Steakhouse. I had a confirmed reservation made weeks in advance for a 2:30 p.m. seating for a party of four. Despite this, we were seated in the bar area and were not asked whether that would be acceptable. I do want to emphasize that our server was outstanding, one of the best I've had in recent years. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely professional. All of the service we received was excellent and deserves recognition. That said, I was hoping for the dining-room atmosphere that Primi is known for. With two dining floors, being placed in the bar area was disappointing, especially for a holiday meal. We were seated at small lacquered bar tables pushed together to accommodate four people, which felt cramped and overly casual. When a meal for four approaches $700, I think it's reasonable to expect a true dining-room experience-proper tables, linens, and an atmosphere that feels intentional and special. I don't really drink; I come out for great food and a great overall experience, and the setting matters. The food itself was excellent and the service was top-notch, but the seating choice ultimately took away from what I hoped would be a special-occasion dining experience. I'm always looking to add new restaurants to my "go-to" list, and while Primi delivered on food and service, the atmosphere that evening fell short of expectations. read more

Food is cooked to perfection. I ordered the branzino and my husband ordered the beef Wellington both were cooked well. For appetizer we ordered the bacon slab it was a large portion definitely delicious. For drinks my husband order the lyche Martini and I ordered a glass of Pinot Nior both were good. Service was impeccable, no complaints. Ambiance more upscale, great for a date night or intimate dinner. The only thing I would say I didn't love we sat near the band which was a bit loud. Dinner was decent overall, although the steak was overcooked on the outside. The biggest issue was that the entire experience felt rushed. Once the manager realized we weren't ordering dessert, she came over, abruptly took the dessert menus from our table, and seemed eager to turn the table over for the next reservation. I visited Primi last night for my 40th birthday. It's a beautiful restaurant with dark, lush interior. I loved the wallpaper, lol. Our server was fantastic. No issues there. I ordered a French martini, which was fine. I would have liked it to be a little sweeter. But that's just personal preference! The Biscoff espresso martini is amazing, though! I highly recommend getting one of those! For our appetizers we had the stuffed mushrooms and baked clams. The mushrooms were mushy and flavorless. You could have told me they were from the frozen foods section at stop n shop, and I would have believed you. The baked clams,while nice flavor wise were so big and chewy that I was gagging trying to get them down. Clams that big should honestly be chopped. I'm not sure if that was an option, but we weren't asked. Now on to our mains. 3 out of the 6 of us ordered the beef Wellington. And all 3 of us agreed that it was bland and flavorless. We were begging for salt and pepper! The mashed potatoes and asparagus that accompanied the meal were good though. We also ordered a side of creamed spinach, which was watery and again could have used some salt. I'm not sure if we ordered the wrong items or if it was just an off night, but I was really looking forward to this meal and I was sadly disappointed. We come here all the time, probably once a month. We alway sit for dinner and the waiters are beyond amazing. We are very friendly with a bunch of them at this point because they've waited on us so many times. However we recently sat at the bar which we've never done. It was a busy Saturday night but died down about 30 minutes into us arriving. We ordered one drink then asked for the wine menu to order an expensive bottle and enjoy. The female bartender (dark hair long nails) handed it to us then disappeared for over 20 minutes. Probably went on break, but we were waiting to order a bottle and couldn't grab anyone's attention because the other 2 bartenders were serving the dining area making drinks. Once she returned she never came back, never checked in, proceeded to chat at the drink service area and stick straws in every drink tasting them. So instead we skipped on the bottle of wine and got a house glass. Finished that glass of wine and both agreed the service was a stark difference from the dining area we always experience. We both pushed our glasses forward waiting for someone to come refill which took 20 minutes and I had to get their attention. We opted for the check instead of ordering food like we planned and went somewhere else. The female bartender bordered on rude and bothered with our first interaction and then asking for the check. Literally zero interaction, not even a have a good night. It was honestly odd behavior. We love this restaurant and will continue to come back, hopefully management sees this because if this was my first visit to Primi I would never return. I usually am seated at the bar with my friend and the bartender Lauren is great. The apps and steaks are great- it's pretty pricey but it is an upscale spot. The ambiance is very pretty. Tried a new place for our anniversary dinner, and kids free night. Had a drink at the bar, didn't catch his name, but he made great drinks. Sat for dinner, greeted with "happy anniversary!" From all the staff. (side note, the hostess was so super sweet and accommodating!) Our waitress Kaitlyn (sorry if I misspelled it) She was fantastic. She was working with another server. Busser was also great. Ambiance was perfect As for food: pasta was on point. Steak was.. okay? For a porterhouse it was good. Not my favorite, but I'm picky, didn't care for the creamed spinach, which is my go to favorite side. We were calling it a "one and done". But the pleasantry of the staff, and the personal touches for our anniversary (champagne and dessert) made us rethink taking another 45 min drive out there. Very gracious, knowledgeable, and attentive wait staff. we shared the crispy artichokes as an appetizer. Delicious! she had the Beef Wellington; I, the veal chop. Sooo good! We were promptly seated in a quaint alcove of the main dining room. We ordered bottled flat water which they charged us $9 (YES, $9) for. Excuse me?!?! We've asked for bottle water at other restaurants and have NEVER been charged for water!!!! I wish they told us about the shopping charged so I could've said NO! For our appetizers, we ate the fried calamari which was absolutely delicious and fresh. Could've brought us more marinara sauce, though, but it was excellent. We both ordered rigatoni alla vodka for our main dish. Mine without sausage, his with. Oh my goodness, it was amazing!!!! Cooked to perfection and the sauce was outstanding. This is the penne alla vodka we all want and need, people. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake with raspberry filling. The berry filling was smothered inside the cake and just enough to compliment the chocolate mousse. The busboys are constantly checking on you which was annoying. Primi was great, the service and food were incredible. The renovated space is beautiful, a really cool atmosphere to be in. The Italian Steakhouse had a great menu to choose from. They start you out with a little bread / cheese / oil / olive plate. For apps we tried the fried buratta and the thick cut bacon. These were both really good. For dinner, I had the grilled veal chop which was so juicy and full of flavor, my wife had the beef Wellington which she enjoyed. We each shared the truffle fries which were so good. There's plenty on the menu that we want to go back and try. For dessert, we each tried the tiramisu and the warm brownie Sundae. While they were both good, the brownie sundae was the real winner. Came with 2 friends. Ambiance is lovely. The band playing was very nice. Over priced and food was sub par. Cacio Pepe was over cooked and lacked peppercorn taste. Consistency wasn't good either. No smoothness or creaminess to it. The strip steak didn't taste like prime at all. I suspect it was choice. Beef Wellington was over cooked with no medium pink to it at all. Stuffed mushrooms were 6 dry pieces of caps with spinach cheese filling lacked any type of sauce was just okay at best. Needed with coffee to which was like warm. Sugar brownie was just ehh. Service was very slow but at least very polite. Wouldn't come back here for 140 bucks a person. Not worth the money you will spend for the quality of food. 2 stars for the ambiance. read more

Efficient without being overbearing. - Service side note: "Someone" got some sauce on his white shirt and was using the seltzer to try to minimize the damage. Our server was Monge, he had great recommendations for our first time being there and was very knowledgeable of the menu.
