    Watermelon feta salad
    Summær H.

Made reservations for a Saturday at 4, we were promptly seated and our waiter, Walter I believe was his name, came by to explained specials then gave us time to look over the menu. The inside is very charming and cozy. I was a little chilly so recommend a sweater lol. I had the watermelon feta salad & it was very fresh and crisp. As my main meal I had filet mignon & it was 10/10. Cooked just the way I asked. The side I ordered was enough to share at the table, they were all great. Dessert time came and it was my father's birthday, they gave him a complimentary piece of cheesecake & they sang. Very sweet people here & I can't recommend this place enough.

Came here with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary! The reservation process is seamless through OpenTable; we managed to score a resy 2 days out. We came a little before our reservation time & were seated promptly. At 6pm on a Saturday, it was already packed! We were both craving a really good steak, and vintage prime delivered. We ordered the burrata caprese to start, the tomahawk for 2, roasted corn, and sweet potato mash. Service here is great - they kindly split our burrata in 2 without us having to ask! The tomahawk is the star for sure - it was cooked to a perfect medium, seasoning was spot on, and the crispy onions were sooo good. Steak sauce is reminiscent of Peter Luger's steak sauce, but less vinegar-y. I'm not really a steak sauce gal, but it paired well. The corn was good, but could've used either a bit of salt or acid to enhance the flavor a bit more. Sweet potato mash was also good, but nothing to write home about. Towards the end of our meal, we were comped a dessert for our anniversary celebration! So sweet! Ambiance is cozy, & great for both couples and groups. It looks like vintage prime is a favorite for celebrations - we saw 2 birthdays and 2 other anniversaries! Prices are super reasonable for a steakhouse.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal for our anniversary! We were able to make a reservation the day of and were seated at our choice table right away when we arrived. We started with a bottle of Barolo, which was delicious. We ordered Blue Point oysters for an appetizer and they were amazing. We each ordered filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, and shared creamed spinach & lobster Mac & cheese- huge portion! We ended the meal with Creme brûlée (complete with a candle for our anniversary), I had a chocolate martini and my husband had an Irish coffee- both were delicious, we finished every drop! Our server was perfectly attentive & friendly. Would definitely return & recommend!

Came here with my husband for our anniversary. We wanted a place with great steak and this did not disappoint. We usually go to Insignia and get a tomahawk and a few other things, this ran about the same price, maybe slightly less. The food was amazing. Our tomahawk was perfectly medium rare, and the sweet mash and roasted veggies as sides were delish. We each had a drink, I had a glass of wine and my husband had a pumpkin beer. Something I need to mention is Bobby our server, and how great he was. He never made us feel rushed, was funny yet personable yet very informative. He truly made the whole experience and it's a place a definitely adding to the list of places we will come back to!

Five stars for this fabulous steakhouse! My husband and I dined here this past Friday for the first time. It was in a random spot near a strip mall, but the atmosphere was super welcome when we went inside. Bigger than expected, too! Our waiter, Marvin, was excellent. His attention to detail and constant check-ins were appreciated! I ordered the sparkling cosmopolitan as my drink. It was very unique and a flower was placed in the ice cube. Nice touch! We ordered fried calamari as our appetizer. My husband wanted to try the Thai sauce but I prefer marinara, so Marvin suggested bringing out both for us to dip our squid in. What an awesome idea! I ordered the strip steak with red wine reduction sauce and my husband ordered the filet mignon gorgonzola tidbits. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was deliciously sweet. My husband loved his tidbits. The fries we ordered tasted a little weird. I probably wouldn't order it next time. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake with chocolate gelato. It was filling and delicious. I highly recommend Vintage for a night out and hope you're all lucky enough to get Marvin as your waiter!

    Perfectly cooked NY Strip Steak

This steakhouse stands up to any that I've been to on LI or NYC. I had a prime NY strip steak that was cooked perfectly and creamed spinach. There was a solid char on the outside of the steak that concealed a delicious, pink inside that was buttery soft. The sides at the table included mixed roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes that were all big enough to share among the 3 of us.

    Pop's birthday!
    Susan L.

Had never been here but an opportunity came up as we wanted to celebrate my pop's birthday. He loves a good steak and I had heard that this place was outstanding. The reports don't dissappoint. The service was excellent and the steaks were amazing. I loved that it was not too loud and clubby- very elegant but not fussy. Seared perfectly and cooked exactly to order. One person did not want steak and got the Chicken Parm- what a pleasant surprise he said it was one of the best he had ever had- Who would have thought that possible at a Steak House. The sides were ample and excellent for sharing- we got the mushrooms and onions and the brussel sprouts. The waiter was so thoughtful and brought out a dessert with a candle for my pop to celebreate his special day. That was super nice. I think this is my new favorite Steak House on Long Island...

Porter house for two & the lobster mac and cheese

Great ambiance, very popular, but not noisy. Very elegant interior. Ordered the porterhouse for two and the lobster mac and cheese- both very delicious!! Service was super friendly and attentive too. Will definitely go back.

    Seafood tower for 3

I have been an avid Vintage customer for years, and I can confidently say this is the most consistent and simply my favorite restaurant. A must is the freshest seafood tower you will have (don't forget to ask for mignonette). A big misconception is just because it's a steakhouse, you have to get a steak. I am telling you, their specials and other items are worth a try. Service is always impeccable and will always refer them for a special occasion.

I loved the au jus which added an another dimension to the flavor. The lamb was tender and tasty. My husband had the 12 once filet mignon rare. He was so pleased that it was served exactly as he asked for it. He raved that the filet was absolutely PERFECT! It was so tender that it practically melted in his mouth. He truly enjoyed every bite. I got the replacement burger & fries and they were good - no problems this time. The burger and fries are more than enough for one person (in fact, the two of us split them and still had some leftover fries). Also, as a bonus, they gave us a brussel sprout & bacon side dish. Even though it was sweeter than we normally like, it was very good. In summary this was a big improvement over our earlier experience and we thank Culpers 1778 for giving us the opportunity to try them again.

I tried meals here on three separate occasions, twice on weekends and once during the week. My review depicts the summary of my experiences. Set back in a shopping center, the size of the restaurant is deceiving. The venue is tremendous, and the decor and bar present a welcoming environment. On all occasions, I was greeted right away and walked to my table. On one particular evening, we were seated in the back room. The first thing I noticed were how quickly the food runners were moving through the dining space. There seemed to be an urgency about their movement. The appetizers I've enjoyed were the duck arancini, mushrooms, and the oysters. All served hot, fresh, and the seasoning was on-point. The oysters came with a mini Tabasco sauce bottle and cocktail sauce. I was less enthralled by their entrees, a pattern that was sadly not a one-off or "bad night" for me. The beef Wellington was served well done, even though medium-rare was ordered. On another occasion, I ordered the surf and turf; the filet came out well done instead of medium-rare, and the lobster was rubbery and overly salted. It was served without drawn butter. They cooked another steak for me, but it came out medium (still incorrect) and had no seasoning whatsoever. A bland and tasteless filet after previously eating an underwhelming overcooked beef Wellington was enough for me to deduce that, after two visits, incorrectly cooking steak was not a mistake, but a pattern. Our table was cleared of appetizer plates and utensils, but no new utensils were provided. Our entrees were served shortly thereafter, and began to get cold as we waited for someone to come over and bring us forks and knives. We waited and asked three different people before finally getting some. All of us ordered some type of cocktail or wine with our meals, yet still drank water, and our water glasses were not refilled once during any of my visits. The staff running all over to collect dirty dishes were out of sync with the servers and the kitchen, and unable to get a pulse on the diners. I did not see a manager or any type of supervisor circulating, but these are fixes that can be easily made with proper oversight. Runners were aimlessly running back and forth and just grabbing whatever dishes were done. Their timing was way off. I really wanted to like this place and include it in my regular rotation. I thought with time they would get the rhythm of the dining room down, but I spaced my visits months apart and not much changed. I wish them well, but it will be a pass from me going forward.

Drink-wise, we shared a bottle of wine from their solid selection, but I also have to shout out their massive cocktail menu, so many options that I'll definitely be back to explore it properly next time. The cherry on top? We made our reservation on Yelp . Between the food, drinks, live music, and overall atmosphere, Husk and Vine was a total win for a night out. Can't wait to return!

AWFUL SERVICE -- EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING…read more My family and I dined at Ruth's Chris to celebrate my brother's birthday and the experience was terrible from start to finish, primarily due to our waitress, Michelle. Michelle was not attentive, warm, or polite at any point during our meal. Two of our steaks were cooked incorrectly. When we brought this to her attention, she said she could have them remade, but that we would need to take them to go because it would take a while. That response was shocking. Why would anyone want their freshly remade steak boxed up when they are dining in and paying premium prices? On top of that, Michelle never asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I had to get up from the table mid-meal to inform the manager that it was my brother's birthday and request a dessert with a candle. To make matters worse, my mom's meal included a complimentary dessert, and Michelle never once asked which dessert she wanted or offered any options. Later, when Michelle came to clear the table and asked if we were ready for the check, we said yes--assuming she would bring the birthday dessert to the table and then the check. Instead, she returned with the check and the birthday dessert in a TO-GO BAG. Completely absurd. In what world does a server package a birthday surprise to go when guests clearly came in to celebrate? It was thoughtless, careless, and ruined what should have been a special moment. Ruth's Chris is known for fine dining and high standards, but this experience did not reflect that at all. Management seriously needs to address Michelle's service. 0/5 stars. Would not recommend based on this experience.
