The inside is very charming and cozy. I was a little chilly so recommend a sweater lol. I had the watermelon feta salad & it was very fresh and crisp. As my main meal I had filet mignon & it was 10/10. Cooked just the way I asked. The side I ordered was enough to share at the table, they were all great. Came here with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary! The reservation process is seamless through OpenTable; we managed to score a resy 2 days out. We came a little before our reservation time & were seated promptly. At 6pm on a Saturday, it was already packed! We were both craving a really good steak, and vintage prime delivered. We ordered the burrata caprese to start, the tomahawk for 2, roasted corn, and sweet potato mash. Service here is great - they kindly split our burrata in 2 without us having to ask! The tomahawk is the star for sure - it was cooked to a perfect medium, seasoning was spot on, and the crispy onions were sooo good. Steak sauce is reminiscent of Peter Luger's steak sauce, but less vinegar-y. I'm not really a steak sauce gal, but it paired well. The corn was good, but could've used either a bit of salt or acid to enhance the flavor a bit more. Sweet potato mash was also good, but nothing to write home about. Towards the end of our meal, we were comped a dessert for our anniversary celebration! So sweet! Ambiance is cozy, & great for both couples and groups. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal for our anniversary! We were able to make a reservation the day of and were seated at our choice table right away when we arrived. We started with a bottle of Barolo, which was delicious. We ordered Blue Point oysters for an appetizer and they were amazing. We made a reservation well in advance (although I don't know if this was absolutely necessary, but we figured doing so provided peace of mind, especially going on a Friday evening). The French onion soup was amongst the best I've had, and their filet mignon was perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and clearly very experienced in providing exceptional service. The restaurant is pleasant inside, with nice ambiance. Came here with my husband for our anniversary. We wanted a place with great steak and this did not disappoint. We usually go to Insignia and get a tomahawk and a few other things, this ran about the same price, maybe slightly less. The food was amazing. Our tomahawk was perfectly medium rare, and the sweet mash and roasted veggies as sides were delish. We each had a drink, I had a glass of wine and my husband had a pumpkin beer. Something I need to mention is Bobby our server, and how great he was. He never made us feel rushed, was funny yet personable yet very informative. Five stars for this fabulous steakhouse! My husband and I dined here this past Friday for the first time. It was in a random spot near a strip mall, but the atmosphere was super welcome when we went inside. Bigger than expected, too! Our waiter, Marvin, was excellent. His attention to detail and constant check-ins were appreciated! I ordered the sparkling cosmopolitan as my drink. It was very unique and a flower was placed in the ice cube. Nice touch! We ordered fried calamari as our appetizer. My husband wanted to try the Thai sauce but I prefer marinara, so Marvin suggested bringing out both for us to dip our squid in. What an awesome idea! I ordered the strip steak with red wine reduction sauce and my husband ordered the filet mignon gorgonzola tidbits. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was deliciously sweet. My husband loved his tidbits. The fries we ordered tasted a little weird. I probably wouldn't order it next time. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake with chocolate gelato. This steakhouse stands up to any that I've been to on LI or NYC. I had a prime NY strip steak that was cooked perfectly and creamed spinach. There was a solid char on the outside of the steak that concealed a delicious, pink inside that was buttery soft. I also didn't mention it was frigid cold out! My husband ordered a steak medium rare and I had the special which was a 20oz lobster, sliced in butter and garlic and a side of creamed spinach, enough for two. Both meals came out perfect and absolutely delicious. This is a small place but a "don't miss" restaurant. It was worth every penny and my cocktail was fantastic. Not really sure this place needs another review.... It's not like mine will help it any more than any others have. I've been to many steakhouses, both here and in Miami. The big ones, Luger, S&W, Sparks, Morton's... etc.. Vintage is about the finest one I've been to. I've been here twice with my wife and both times it has absolutely exceeded expectations. They're known for their French onion soup which we ordered last time and was spectacular. This time we opted for a burrata salad and shrimp cocktail. Both were exceptional. The shrimp are beyond jumbo and ice cold. As if the were just caught, in the morning and cooked that night. We ordered the porterhouse for two and got it medium rare which was spot on. You get it on a hot plate so if you want it done a little more, you have a minute or two to lay it down and cook it some more, and it comes with a nice "au ju". Seasoned well, and you can tell it was aged perfectly. Sides were mushrooms and onions (sautéed with scallions as well, and pan roasted corn (mixed with some red peppers). All delicious. To end it, we split a crème brûlée which was classic. Caramelized top and creamy/custardy inside. Our waiter, Mario was terrific! He was built for this. His presentation of the specials were amazing and informative, as he spoke with inflection and made you really desire what was being told you. The decor is what you'd expect at a fine steakhouse. "Vintage". Highly recommend for a "New York Steakhouse" experience without traveling into Manhattan. read more

Came here for Anniversary dinner. We had reservations and were seated right away. The ambiance is classic steak house decor and we thought it was nice. The only "issue" was it was super loud to the point my wife and I had to shout and or struggle at times to hear each other. We ordered French onion soup and the Thai calamari for appetizers, although my wife modified her soup to have no Bread because she has celiac. Both were delicious and flavorful. For Dinner we ordered the Tomahawk steak for two, mashed sweet potatoes and roasted vegetables. We had to get sautéed onions because crispy onions are not GF. I have dined at Vintage personally with family and also for a work dinner. Both times I was not impressed with the food service or atmosphere. The steak was cooked as ordered but had zero flavor the sides were nothing special. Overpriced mashed potatoes and vegetables For the work dinner with 13 people. There was 1 waitress to help 13 of us. We were seated in such a small area and a curtain separated us from the main dining room. The reservation was made knowing it was professional gathering and the amount of people . It was extremely loud you could barely hold a conversation with the person seated right next to you. So it was impossible to have a conversation with anyone else at the table. I chalked it up to maybe it was too much for one person. My personal experience (which I thought would be so much better being there was only was 2 people) was even worse. Our waiter was so inattentive and rude!!! We ordered drinks and it took forever to get the drinks. We placed our order and waited nearly 65 minutes for our food. During that time not once did the waiter come to ask us if we wanted another drink. I had to flag down another waiter walking by to ask for more drinks. The special was a pork chop with hot sauce and cheese which my better half ordered and I got the filet mignon. The filet was cooked to my liking but bland and not juicy at all. The pork chop was disgusting. You couldn't even eat it!!!! The waiter never came back to ask how the food was if he had he would have realized the pork chop had two bites out of it. The sides again were nothing to talk about masked potatoes I make better ones at home. Spending close to $400 and having to leave a gratuity you would think the staff would be more attentive to you and the food so much better. For the price and advertising as a high end steak house you would think the service and food would be top notch. I will never recommend or eat there ever again. Oh also the woman's bathroom was disgusting and smelled of dirty mop water. If you want to eat mediocre food have terrible service and spend a fortune by all means go to vintage. But if you want a great meal for that kinda money i recommend going elsewhere!!!! read more

The beau and I came to celebrate my birthday a few days later with it just us and I have to say Vintage definitely pulls out all of the stops. I am so glad this is a local gem within minutes of home. We split the following: - A bottle of Duckhorn Merlot: which we almost finished and wound up taking home to finish - Thai Calamari: by far our favorite Calamari EVER! - Burrata Caprese: again by far our favorite Burrata. - Filet Mignon for Two: served medium well as last time the medium was a little under cooked for us. The medium well was just perfect. Served with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. But this time we subbed out the mashed potatoes for a twice baked potato. - Side of Lobster Mac and Cheese: stupidly good. Again no room for dessert but maybe next time. This is one of the best steakhouses on Long Island! This is not a glitzy over the top dining experience. What you do experience is top of the line service and steaks in a not so big restaurant maybe 20 tables. We start with a dozen chilled oysters or sometimes we add a half a dozen of their excellent Oysters Rockefeller (not on the menu) but it's a no problem just takes a little longer and they are Super amazing!! They have your typical steakhouse drinks with a few house specials & wines by the glass and bottles that are reasonably priced . Now on to the reason why we are here ! The Steak & Sides we all ways get the porterhouse sometimes the big one and most of the time the smaller one (always medium rare) and they are both excellent steaks aged and seasoned to perfection and always cooked to specifications ! The smaller porterhouse is perfect for two not so big eaters and is same as the lager one but smaller lol and cheaper (the smaller ph comes uncut ask them to cut it if you like that way). They offer 3 or 4 sauces to go with your steaks and they are all excellent, personally no need for me the steaks are that good no need but once in a while we go for it. They offer a dozen or more sides and our favorites are the (save the butter from the bread basket to use on the mashed potatoes! They are not your typical pastie mashed potatoes)mashed potatoes, mushrooms and or mushrooms and onions, the roasted vegetables, the grilled asparagus or roasted broccoli with garlic all excellent and serving size good for two people ! So far So Good. The service at Vintage is on point! Never overbearing and always around if needed ! Water filled tables plates cleared etc. We usually finish with an excellent crème brûlée and an espresso martini! All in all an excellent meal no matter when you go! This is a nice spot for just about any occasion. The food is great and the service is professional which matches up well with the price point. The dining area gives a great first impression but the overall atmosphere takes a bit of a hit due to how loud the place gets. I'm not sure if they've tried addressing this but they absolutely need to hire an acoustic engineer or at least invest in some acoustic art pieces / panels. This wouldn't keep me from coming back by any means. The food was outstanding. We all ordered steak and a side. Each steak was prepared as requested and the sides were better than expected. Small bar when you walk in only accommodates 5 or so which can be an issue if you arrive early looking for drink.
