Man I have nothing but good things to say. At first I was disappointed because they were out of so many menu Items but once I tasted the food and realized they closed in 45 minutes I knew why... The food is that good! It sells out and is not "premade". I go to Hawaii twice a year and this place is the best representation of the food I've experienced on the mainland. The perfect amount of flavor without forgetting that core Hawaiian food is for the people and not some excuse for over priced and over worked fusions. I don't know what to recommend because we tasted everything on the menu just about and nothing was lacking except the soda machine lol. My next visit to LA will include a meal here. Primo Hawaiian was a pleasant surprise and a definitely a place I'll be coming back to. I've visited this plaza before since it shares the same location as the Lakers store, but I had never tried the food until now. I finally gave it a shot at lunch and it did not disappoint. I chose to get their Garlic Chicken Plate. The late comes with two scoops of rice topped with furikake and a scoop of mac salad. I asked if it was okay to do two scoops of mac salad and one scoop of rice, and they nicely accommodated. The garlic chicken was crispy with a surprise sweet twist from the glaze. It paired perfectly with with the white rice. I also loved the creamy mac salad with small chunks of potato. For $18.99, I thought the portions were generous and more than enough for sharing. I really enjoyed my lunch here. The food was so ono, the price point was just right and the service was good. I definitely can see myself coming back here. Food was ok... not the usual great Hawaiian teriyaki place. And I've been to a lot of them! We ordered beef teriyaki, Pork teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, garlic chicken and loco moco. Beef teriyaki was good but the 3 were so so. Teriyaki sauce was also mediocre. Although for some who has not tried other teriyaki place or been to a Hawaiian place, this could be a good place. But for us, so so. Would I recommend the food, no. But if there's no other place to go, then sure, go for it. Oh and we actually went here because in their website here on yelp, there's this drunken shrimp that looked so good so we were like okay let's go here. But nope- apparently they don't serve it anymore. Funny that it's still on all their posters on their walls. Service- gosh the guy at register was so uhm bland I'd say. I asked about that drunken shrimp and yeah he said not anymore and I jokingly, with a smile I tell you, said oh no but that's why we went here for... and he just looked at me with a blank face. And I was like uhm you can smile... it's ok. We're already here, we are going to order... Asked for teriyaki sauce coz some of the plates are kinda dry and he did have us 1 little container. Then we asked for another one. I mean we had like 6 plates ordered. This time we were asked $0.55 for the sauce. Ok sure. And one last thing... oh my goshhhhh... the bathroom was out of order????? Yikes The paper plates were cute though. And place very clean, that's what the 1 star is for. Although it might be clean coz there's no one else in here. But the place is cozy and cute. Ordered the chicken cutlet w/ gravy. I would go here to grab some quick lunch, but this time, I'm probably not going to get food here anymore. When I opened up my plate lunch, my chicken cutlet smelled like it was marinated in bleach or some kind of cleaning solution. I don't know I kept eating it thinking the smell is going to diminish. I couldn't eat all of my food and I threw it away. I was disgusted. I didn't notice the business has changed its name from Tasty to Primo. Even in the past, I got a sprite fountain drink & it tasted like bleach. It's seems like they still have the same workers from when they switch the business name. They are friendly but they need to stop putting bleach/cleaning solution in their food. L&L & Wiki Wiki Hawaiian is down the road if you don't want bleach in your Hawaiian food. read more

The food was really good here. I think they rebranded their restaurant as the name has changed but the food is still the same and consistent with Hawaiian Cuisine. I ordered the Lau Lau and it was amazing. The portion was filling. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. It was busy, so it took longer than normal to get my food. The parking was plentiful and there are other eateries in the complex. If you're around El Segundo or the LAX airport, swing on by to try some good eats, Hawaiian Style. read more

They gave me raw chicken. I kindly warned the chef and he talked to me like I was stupid so I reminded him his job and the health codes he broke. He told me that they serve pink chicken I laughed and told him it was raw and there's no such thing as pink chicken. My goal was just to give him a heads up and move on with my day but after the attitude I had to remind him it's his job to make sure the food is not raw. To top it all off the cashier lady gave me attitude before hand because I asked her for teriyaki sauce, she assumed I was going to be upset for paying .50cents for teriyaki sauce. They told me their names were Brandon and Brandi. Since they both wanted to talk to me stupid I cussed them out and I got my refund. I'm a very kind person but don't test me. The chef seemed super uneducated on public safety and food protocols. They both told me I was lucky to get my refund and I told them they're lucky I didn't throw my raw chicken at them but they're not gonna be so lucky when I tell the city about their negligence. read more

Food is decent but it's sad and frustrating that they never answer the phone for pickup orders, even at times past the lunch rush around 3 PM. There's a gentleman with glasses who is usually on shift at this time and when I ask him why they don't answer the phone, he just shrugs and says he didn't hear it.
