My employer fed us dinner from this establishment. Received my super sampler platter from this place. When I received it, the items were cold. Warmed it up in a microwave. The meat was ok, seemed overcooked and the macaroni tasted bland. I can't say too much of this place since I was not there to pick it up and critique the restaurant and service. I can only judge the book by its cover by getting the food delivered to me. The taste was just ok to me. Overall, going to remain neutral. For both plate it's worth every penny. They're not stingy with the portion sizes. You get about 4-5 Salmon pieces smothered in teriyaki sauce but the Salmon is fresh!! I have been ordering from Maui Teriyaki since I moved here in 1992. The owner is so sweet and friendly. Food is always fresh and hot. The sampler plate is our go to for beef and chicken teriyaki combo. Portions are good and you can expect to have some leftovers. The restaurant is an order at the counter type of restaurant. There are about 6 tables. set up for a quick meal and super casual. The sauces are not overly sweet, their dressing is light rice vinegar based, and sweet. It is real good for chinese chicken salad. Their rice is always fluffy and it's a good portion of it your container set up to be a bed for the protein of your choose. The menu has a variety of menu option for all types of eaters, including pescatarians and vegetarians. If you're on a budget, you can always opt for a Chicken bowl! Salmon Teriyaki is son#4's favorite despite being the pickiest eater of all 4 of my boys. My other 3 will do all beef or the Sample Plate (beef & chicken). Nothing has ever changed with the food, taste and portion. People who read my reviews know that environmental conscience run the headlines alongside customer service and a great product. I had a chance to chat with the nice lady who owns this store and she told me that the #6 containers they use cost 4 times more than the Styrofoam option and other businesses in areas that have banned the stuff stock up on it and use the excuse that they are "still using up their leftover inventory" to keep using it. But she cares about the ocean and understands that certain materials in food service is carcinogenic. It's so great to meet like minded people even if they still use thin form plastic bags. This clean little shop lives in a large strip mall with a Vons. I picked up two teriyaki chicken bowls to have leftovers. They were pretty good, but I should have held on to the teriyaki sauce she offered me because there isn't enough on the chicken to coat the rice. I appreciate the addition of veggies even if there aren't many. One bowl is enough for one meal for me and I'm not a big eater. Price is about $8 a bowl. Prices are fair considering the extra measures this place takes to offer safe food and I would return if I were in the Lawndale area. read more

The service is incredible, I have been here a few times at different times of day and the owner is always there she is very friendly and welcoming, the food is just as amazing, fresh ingredient's, tons of flavor, I got the special number one.
