This place is absolutely fire!!!!! I am a thin crust girl and this place just does it right. This is the second time I've picked up a pizza or slice (yes, they do slices thank god!) and the pizza literally never makes it home or is half gone by the time I'm home. This place is how old school pizza places are done! RC liters waiting and ready to go, thin crispy crust, nostalgia inside and great signage and to top it all off friendly "shoot the sh*t" service that makes you feel like you're a neighbor next store. My favorite is the chicken Alfredo pizza! Tonight, I had the primo by the slice and I am not a fan of mushrooms or sausage but I decided to give it a whirl.... Wow - sausage is bussin' and the shrooms were nice and thin with no overpowering bites! This blows any of the places around, palatine, Hoffman, Inverness, out of the water! Run, do not walk.... I tried this place as I was "in the neighborhood". It's small, with a few small tables and a counter to order. The guy that took my order was really nice and helpful. I ordered a large 16" cheese/sausage thin crust and a combo (no peppers). Also got an order of roasted potatoes. All of this was to-go. He asked for about 20 minutes which was no problem. I returned after 20 minutes and he was just bagging it up. My plan was to eat some of the pizza while I was driving and eat the combo later. I'm an expert at eating while driving but pizza can be a little tricky. The pieces were cut in small squares, maybe 1 1/2" around. While I don't always like them that small, I did appreciate it because I was driving. Anyway, the pizza was outstanding. Good crust, nice spices, and the sauce was really good. I ate half the pizza before I got out of Barrington. I would return just for the pizza. Now rating the combo May be a little unfair because I had it later, and I had to reheat it. It was very big, to say the least. I found the combo to be just, meh. The juice was good, but the beef was a little dry, but like I said, I didn't eat it fresh. The potatoes were a little bland. But hey, it's a pizza and pasta place, not a combo and potatoes place. So go for the pizza, you can't go wrong. And I didn't take off a star for the combo, because I did reheat it later. read more

Really good pizza spot. Tried their speciality pizzas and Alam it every vegetarian pizza on the menu liked all except the margarita pizza. Thread sauce pizza is a must try. Loved all there sauces. Got spaghetti and pesto pasta those were just ok that's why 4 stars. We are going to do catering with them soon for an Event will post an update after that. Not the best pizza out there! Gave two stars bc they are fairly fast. I don't like the cheese they use. It's definitely NOT straight up mozzarella or if it is then it must be very bad quality mozzarella. It doesn't taste like real mozzarella. Def not impressed especially for the price of it. Sauce is just right with a little acidity and tastes like tomatoes, not overpowering herbs. Good quality cheese blend of mozzarella & provolone. My husband and I are long-term customers of Primo Pizza. We generally order 'take-away', hence I can't speak to the dining ambiance. However, service is always excellent -- warm, friendly, with the Pizza invariably prepared in the time interval quoted. We have been impressed with a number of their offerings, but particularly love the "Garbage Pizza' -- which is essentially every topping ingredient they are serving that evening. In our most recent visit, our Pizza was prepared by the owner, Rodney, and it was absolutely superb!! The crust was perfect, and the toppings were distributed with a keen eye for complementary flavours, textures and colours! From the warm greeting, attention to detail with food preparation and quality, and overall service given throughout our time at Primo, I will definitely be coming back. We ate inside and there's 3 smaller tables to eat at, with a classic italian mom and pop feel. We ordered the Primo pizza and it was crispy, loaded with toppings, and consistent with every bite. Girlfriend has a linguini pasta with garlic and oil and it was delicious and came with garlic bread that hit the spot. Not a good experience. It was more of an expensive lesson. I ordered online for delivery and it went through but they called me and said the 11 minutes to my house (via gps) was too far, so I had to pick it up. Ok misleading web site but that's fine, live with it. Food didn't get good reviews from me or my family - that was my fault since i chose this place and ordered, so it kept going downhill. We then noticed they totally messed up one of my pizzas by adding onion which renders it inedible to my family since they don't like onions so i had to go out to get more food. I had to call to confirm the order and see what happened and they did confirm it was received correctly but not made correctly. However, they can't do anything about it. We got the garlic bread to start with which was yummy and buttery. The marinara sauce was super flavorful as well! Great start. Are a pepperoni pizza. The sauce was flavorful and had just the right amount of cheese. The pizza was also cooked perfectly and the crust was nice and crispy. We really enjoyed the pizza so much we ordered a few frozen pizzas to go! Will have to come back and try the rest of the menu. We finished it off with a slice of spumoni. DELICIOUS.
