    Cippollini dip

This place has no right to be this heavenly. The dip is the best we've ever had and the pizza is crispy and delicious. 100/10 stars.

Slyce has always been a go-to for delicious food, and it continues to deliver on that front. I've been a fan of the Grecian salad for a while, but I've noticed that they've changed some of the ingredients recently, and it doesn't quite taste as good as it used to. On the bright side, they introduced a new pizza featuring creamy pesto, pepperoni, Calabrian chili, and honey, and it is absolutely delicious! This might just become our new go-to choice when we visit. We always order the Baked Cipollini and Whipped Cheese dip, but I have to say that it tends to be overly oily every time we get it. It could use a bit of tweaking to improve the texture. Overall, we really enjoy coming to Slyce and will definitely keep returning. Just looks like we might need to mix up our usual orders a bit! Also, whatever happened to the chocolates they used to give out with the check? Those were such a sweet touch!

Coal fired pizza comes out fast but it's also good. If you like this style then you should try this place. SLYCE is certainly the best pizza place in Wauconda. Also pizza needs a few drinks like beer. There's plenty of that as well as other items like salads. After looking around town we came here to eat. It has coal fired pizza, which we like because it comes out fast. This restaurant also has plenty of libations. Beer and liquor to choose from. Since pizza is Italian food, I got an appropriate drink, a Housemade Limoncello. It's $8, the cheapest cocktail. This was kind of like a hard lemonade. As for the pizza, we got the build your own choice. It's about $15 plus a bit more for toppings. Has vegan choices including cheese. The end product was pretty costly, which is the only complaint about this place. It can easily cost over $20 for a pizza with a few things on it. The pizza is a good size though. Get your pizza fast and thoroughly cooked. If you can't wait long for regular pizza, then come here and get it coal fired. There's plenty of choices for meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarians.

My opinion has not changed one iota. Best coal fired pizza in the Chicagoland area. From the Coal Fired Goat Cheese to the sorbet todays lunch was on point. Now that they offer a make your own pizza with an option from the sauces I usually make my own cream based pizza with whatever toppings strike my fancy that particular day. But almost always include prosciutto and burrata. Today despite the cold I chose to have a dessert of lemon blueberry sorbeto excellent foil to the very rich pizza. Thank you Slyce we look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I met my sister and my brother-in-law here a few weeks ago, and none of us were here before then. When we got here, it was dead, but we got here right at opening, on a Sunday when football was on, so it was probably dead for a while because this isn't a sports bar that has TVs. When we got here, we were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and she was patient with us as we didn't know what we wanted for probably 15 minutes since we were catching up instead of looking at the menu. I ordered a beer, and my brother-in-law did, too, while my sister and husband just chose to drink water. When it came to the food order, my husband and I wanted a caesar salad and pizza, and so did my sister and her husband, so we ended up getting a large Caesar salad to share and 2 separate pizzas. The Caesar salad was amazing (I know, it's JUST a salad); it had flavorful homemade croutons made of fresh bread, and was full of shaved parmesan, and delicious artichoke hearts. They also stacked the salad HIGH in the bowl, and it was the perfect amount for all 4 of us to share. Admittedly, it was one of the best Caesar salads I ever had. My husband and I ordered a pepperoni pizza with white sauce to share, and we were so excited to try it, but when it came, it had red sauce on it instead of white. My husband was so sad because he doesn't really like red sauce too much, but I didn't even notice it was red until I was eating it already and he told me. We didn't bother telling our waitress it was wrong because the pizza was still delicious (just a bit disappointing with the mix-up), and the coal-fire crust was fluffy and the perfect amount of burnt. Coal fire is my absolute favorite type of pizza and it didn't disappoint. My sister and her husband ordered a mushroom pizza (I think) but regardless, they really loved their pizza, too! Overall, I would like to come back here and try a few different pizzas, especially the white-sauced ones. This place is a bit pricy for 12'' pizza, but I feel like most coal-fire places are more expensive than "normal" pizza places. I have been to more expensive coal-fire places, so I didn't think the price was terrible, though it does get expensive when you make your own and add extra toppings.

This place gets buzy!!! We were there on a Tuesday night and we still waited for a few minutes to get a table. When we got our food, it was evident why this place gets so buzy! We ordered 4 pizzas for 4 adults, 1 cheesy bread and 3 deserts. Our bill with tips came to $150. There was plenty of parking out front and the place smells heavenly with the charcoal oven aroma.

What a gem! Casual dining but good for dates too - nice vibe overall. It was busy here Saturday noon. We appreciated that they have lunch menu throughout the week, from which you could order six inch personal size pizza (they are still bigger than normal 6 inches.) Food is cooked fresh so it took a while. But it's totally worth it. Everything we ordered is great. Pizza has more varieties and more European style with fresh ingredients. We had a great time - highly recommended!

    So stoked. This menu!!

Again, it was fine, it just wasn't extra special. It's worth noting that we were there on a Friday afternoon for lunch service and we sat outside but we were also there for a wedding rehearsal lunch and nothing about the experience felt special other than the occasion and the people we came with. I ordered the Aragosta & Gamberi which intrigued me for a number of a reasons. As a non-seafood eater for most my life I'm trying new things. I haven't had lobster but once before and very rarely had risotto so a lobster/shrimp risotto sounded divine. Again, the dish was fine. Nothing outstanding to me. The lobster did not have much flavor - to be clear, this may be completely normal! I don't have much to compare it to, but it seemed light on lobster meat and flavor. The service was also slow despite it not appearing to be busy (we sat outside which was mostly empty, I did not go inside so it's entirely possible it was busy inside). Drink orders took 20 minutes or so to be delivered. We also had 1 food order that was incorrect; however, to their credit they told us to keep the incorrect dish and quickly replaced it with the correct order. Nothing off-putting about this place, just nothing that struck me as super special.

Walking in, you can smell it's gonna be great barbecue. The staff are wonderful, and ready to guide you to a great experience. Recently I've had the pleasure of having some of the best barbecue in North Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee and I can't say I've been anywhere in IL that rivals those experiences...until now. My husband lived in TX for a while and until I went to Austin, I sorta hated brisket - you could smoke it, sauce it, but it was just always kinda tough and gritty and gross. Austin was my first experience with what brisket should and could be and Rock Stock MATCHED it. See, if you do brisket right, it's meat candy. Buttery, incredibly juicy meat candy. And let's just put out there: that tough a cut of meat being THAT juicy and that buttery is sorcery. This place has the magic. I also really enjoyed the Polish sausage, esp. with the SoCal mustard bbq sauce, and the brisket beans. Ribs were also super wonderful. Pulled pork with the Plum sauce is sweet and spiced and if you paired it with some smoked jalapeno, even better. I'd say I'm gonna go back and try even more things, but realistically, I'm probably gonna go back for brisket above all else, because...I'm telling you, not everyone can brisket like these folks brisket. Oh, last standout -the coleslaw. I'm not a coleslaw girl, but the dill and actual pickle in this changed my mind. Anyway, get out there.

It was a Wednesday evening, and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn't overly crowded. Unfortunately, our experience didn't meet our expectations. I ordered a raspberry cosmopolitan martini, and when it arrived, there were two ants floating in it. I politely asked for a new drink and even apologized for having to send it back. From my seat, I watched the bartender pour the drink back into the shaker, give it another shake, and pour it into a clean glass. I should have said something, but after already feeling uncomfortable about returning it, I didn't. In the end, I didn't drink it because the way it was handled left me uneasy, and it honestly didn't taste very good. The appetizers were delicious, but we had to ask for plates and napkins because they weren't brought to the table. When our entrees arrived, they were placed on the table before the appetizer dishes were cleared, leaving very little room until we asked for them to be removed. The food itself was good overall. My husband really enjoyed his bison burger. When we asked for a box to take home the rest of his burger, coleslaw, and my leftover fries, we were given a container that was far too small to fit everything. Service throughout the meal was disappointing. Our water glasses were never refilled, and our server rarely checked on us. It appeared she was very attentive to guests she knew, while we felt largely overlooked. I completely understand that restaurants have busy nights, but every guest should feel welcomed and receive the same level of service. We truly wanted to enjoy our first visit because the location and waterfront views are beautiful. Unfortunately, the combination of the drink issue and the lack of attentive service overshadowed the evening. We left disappointed and, sadly, don't see ourselves returning.
