The workers are very hard to understand and they should hire people that can communicate effectively given the other issues they suffer from. I enjoyed a delicious Meatball sub with extra sharp provolone cheese. You find Primo in the middle of Doylestown and parking can be tough. I parked at on street meter parking. Everyone was very friendly. Took my order and processed it quickly. I purchased a soda and a large bag of chips. Prices are no more than other deli's. They are all expensive. I had heard through word of mouth how great Primo Hoagies are so I decided to give them a try. The location in Doylestown was very clean and the employees were polite and promptly greeted me. I ordered a small Italian hoagie and a small turkey hoagie. When I got home I had a small Italian hoagie and a small peppered ham hoagie. Not wanting to drive back I just ate the ham hoagie. All I could taste was the pepper; it overwhelmed everything else. Primo is always consistent from location to location so I was confident what to expect from a quality standard. I really like the online ordering and did so for pickup the next day. This location is a tidy storefront in downtown Doylestown which was very busy on this Saturday lunchtime. Luckily there is a nearby municipal lot offering 15 minute parking, otherwise not sure where to go as I am unfamiliar with the town but parking is a premium! Very clean and organized an exceedingly friendly staffer had our order to go ready. Small preference, not a big Pepsi product fan but no biggie for the convenience as that brand is the sole offering. I have found that in my experience, Primo's is very consistent in food quality, so no matter which location I've eaten from, every hoagie has been on point. This one offers pleasant service, decent seating with a TV and street parking close by. Our orders were on point, fresh, packed with meat, cheese and veggies and worth every penny. I had a diablo tuna sandwich. Wife had turkey and cheese. We also tried the macaroni salad. Honestly not super impressed. It was just ok. Bread was really hard, and we were there at lunchtime. I also thought the ingredients were a bit skimpy. I would go with three stars for taste, but minus another star for high prices. I don't write reviews often and it's usually because I really love something, today was not that day. I would give this place 0 stars if I could, that's how awful our experience has been. I ordered a sandwich with oil only, stated this specifically and then when I was asked if I wanted mayo I again said no oil only. I picked it up and after recoiling from the almost $14 it cost I brought it home to my husband. He wasn't enjoying it, said it isn't good like the Chalfont Primos. Upon further inspection he discovered there was in fact mayonnaise on it, which he hates. I called to tell them what happened and eventually he found the order and said he would make me another. It was 5:15 on a Friday night and I didn't want to go back into Doylestown and deal with parking again. I asked for a refund and he said he couldn't do that. He instead offered me a free hoagie whenever I wanted to stop in and get it. I asked how that would work and he said leave your name at the counter. I said that I didn't like or trust that idea as I had no proof to give the person behind the counter that I was entitled to a free hoagie. This is when things got CRAZY, Moustapha the manager started YELLING at me! I put my phone on speaker so I would have proof of how insane he was being! How could I not trust him, how dare I say I don't trust him, he's a stranger to me how can I say he is not trust worthy! Literally, how can I say a stranger isn't trustworthy?! The whole time I'm calm, calling him sir and trying to explain that a stranger by definition is in fact not someone you put your trust in and secondly if I couldn't trust them to make a sandwich without Mayo on it how on earth would I trust that I can just walk in anytime and say I'm owed a free sandwich with no proof of being owed this sandwich. This is when he yells that I'm PISSING HIM OFF!! My mind was completely blown! In all of my 45 years I've never been treated like this by any retail establishment. I eat at primos on chestnut in center city all the time. That place gets 5 starts. Doylestown Primo is not real Primo. They don't use the right bread. The roll was barely cooked. Putting sesame seeds on a crap roll does not make it a good hoagie. Not sure when they made the change but this hoagie is garbage. TL;DR - it's a crap roll not the real thing. read more

So many people have raved about Primos & tried one years ago and thought it was good but not amazing. I figured I would try it again since I had jury duty in Doylestown. I was surprised by how small this place was but that was not a big deal. Very friendly staff. I ordered an Italian. Service was quick. I ate at the small counter which was fine. The meat & roll were very good and tasted very fresh. I had ordered with oil & vinegar but didn't taste much of either. I would have liked a little more. I know that is just my personal preference. I would give it 3 & 1/2 stars if I could. I would go back & try something else because the do have a huge selection of sandwiches. read more

Its really weird I use to go to Newtown no problem....over here if you ask for one thing different on a sandwich they NEVER do it....called in orders and went to pick up and no sandwiches ....not sure what going on at this location. I love, love, love this location. My order is always right and delicious. It is a huge sandwich and you definitely get what you pay for! I go in at least once a week, but have been trying to tame my PRIMO addiction ;) ! The staff here is excellent! The owner, Sandy, is very hands-on and super involved with helping his staff and customers at least from what I have noticed!! Tom is great too. He's friendly, efficient, and always gets my order right. I would go out of my way to go to this location over the others in the surrounding area! First I must say, they have really good hoagies but I am so fed up with the service there. This was not my first bad experience, however, when I called in my last order, they sounded so annoyed while I was ordering. Sorry I don't work there and know all the freaking options. Quote, "why don't you just tell me what you don't want" instead of "would you like this"? Where is the customer service???? I guess he traded that in last night for his Saturday morning hangover. Who needs that crap when your trying to spend money and the hoagies are not cheap! My suggestion to the owner is to get some feedback on the service. read more

These hoagies are the best! Fresh rolls, lots of meat... Only thing I don't like is the sharp provolone, which they are happy to switch out for mozzarella (which makes the Nona's Veggie perfect!). read more
