I have to say the guy who takes the orders and does the cashier is above and beyond super friendly and polite. Borderline nauseatingly nice, but that's just me. Overall excellent customer service, job well done. Tons of selections from cold cuts to hot sandwiches. I would stick with a nice hot chicken sandwich with whatever assortments you prefer or a classic Italian cold cut sandwich with your choice of sliced meats. I had a meatball and it wasn't that impressive. If you're gonna spend this kind of money, go for a good sandwich. If you wanna pedestrian meatball sandwich, get one from Subway for five bucks not from here for $15. The price is a bit expensive. you're looking at $12-$14 for a medium size sandwich. And all reality they should be $10 max, but what can you do? My husband and I have been a fan of PrimoHoagies for the longest time, and it sucks that they have no locations in New York. While on vacation, we were craving the Bada Bing & Bada Boom (our usual) from them, so I asked him to get it on his drive home from Jersey one day... After having my Bada Boom, I have to say, I was really disappointed. The chicken cutlet was rubbery & dry, there weren't enough peppers, and the sesame bread tasted stale. My jaw felt like it went through the most rigorous workout yet. Sopressata, etc. weren't nearly up to standards and lacked significant taste. I've been looking for a new place in the area for a good sandwich so when I heard Primo opened, I figured I'd give them a try. First of all - it is obvious that the business is new there and they are trying to work out the kinks. These growing pains ARE PERFECTLY normal for any business, so I am going to give them a pass. After working in a deli for some time earlier in my life, it takes them far too long to make a sandwich. AGAIN; perfectly normal for a new business but I would expect this to improve with time and I'm sure it will. I bought the "Old Italian" hero and I must say, I was VERY impressed by the quality of both the meats AND the bread! It is such a breath of fresh air to finally have a chain sandwich shop craft a quality loaf of bread. And the meats and cheeses are of the highest quality (Thumann's) and I felt that there was an appropriate amount on the sandwich. I got the medium size hero and that came to $11.00, a fair price for a sandwich of this quality. Overall, once these startup kinks are worked out, this place will be a regular haunt for me. They need to work on their online ordering system. Placed an order online for pick up. When I arrived at the store, my order wasnt even started on yet. What was surprising to me was that people coming into the store to order in person were getting their orders before me even though I placed my online order way before they even arrived at the store. Like at that point I couldve just come in and ordered and gotten my food earlier. Just dont see what the point of online ordering is at that point. Went to try this place out last weekend because I live down the street and wanted to compare to the other sandwich shops in the area. My boyfriend and I got the Giant Italian sub and shared. When we got home we opened it up and couldn't believe how hard the bread was. For $23.99, bread shouldn't be stale. We did get $3 off but even still, who pays $21 for a stale sandwich. I dont know where they think they are with these prices...I will stick with Jersey Mikes. read more

Ive been to several Primo Hoagies in Philadelphia and have been a repeat customer to this location since they opened. This location just cant seem to get things down. I assumed things would get better as they progress beyond opening incidentals but they constantly get things incorrect with making the hoagies as requested. I would double check with the cashier regarding my order but its always the wrong cheese, no long hots when asked for and charged, asked for dry but comes drenched in oil and vinegar, diablo style but forgets the diablo spice, etc... The young kid working the register looks confused, mumbles things i cant understand and acknowledges my order and then asks for my order again.. As for the hoagies..........its inconsistent with the slices. Sometimes the cold cuts are sliced so damn thick (like a ham steak) but sometimes sliced thin and correctly. Hope things get better cause sometimes when the stars align..its a very good hoagie. read more

Sandwiches are OK, light on the meat and not put together very well. I typically never do this but the cashier, young girl, was texting on her phone the entire time while taking orders. She would make sure to finish sending a text first before taking each order. And of course my order was wrong because she was not paying attention! Don't go here if you like Subways or Jesrey Mike's. After one order from Primo I don't think I could ever at one of those other subs. I can easily say this is the best sub I have had in a very long time, maybe ever. I ordered two subs both 9 inch seeded rolls. The bread was much denser than the usual soft rolls you get and it was delicious. Three things are keeping me from giving 5 stars and they are 1 One sandwich was ordered with oil and vinegar and it leaked all over the wrapping making it messy to eat. 2 While there are options to change/add topping they are limited. I could not change the cheese on one of the subs. 3 They are pricey. For the quality they are worth it but more expensive than the other sub shops. Add in Doordash fees and driver tip it added up quickly. The next time I am in the area I will pick up the order and save some cash. This is a relatively unknown hoagie shop in Northern NJ but I read some amazing things about their sandwiches. I travel 30 mins from my home to them because they are THAT good. I have introduced several people to them - fresh bread even on a Sunday - I tend to get their Italian hero every time sorry - I am not tired of it yet. Only negative is the people on the registration are very young very slow and make many mistakes - but the sandwich makers are on point. read more
