I am always impressed with La Gondola Pizzeria! This pizza is FAR better than some of the other pizza places in the area. We usually order the buffalo chicken pizza and it is delicious; cut into square slices with a crispy crust. Only note is that it is VERY spicy. The place is located in a shopping area off rt 17. Once you enter you see a long counter filled with a bunch specialty pies, mainly square pies. Hard to decide but I ended up getting a Sicilian slice ($3.60) and a chicken parm square slice. There was a lot of cheese on the Sicilian slice and it was solid. The chicken parm was solid as well. Love La Gondola! We've been coming here for years and it is a staple pizza spot in Bergen county. Our go to pie is bacon meatball and sausage well done. Their speciality slices are amazing as well I'm a huge fan of their chicken bacon ranch. Service is friendly and helpful. We usually order in the store or over the phone for pickup depending on the day and time and how busy they are. I've dined in once or twice and the interior is very clean and comfortable. Parking in the shopping center can get a little crazy on Fridays and weekends but otherwise it's easy to get a spot. I wish they offered delivery as it would make take out way easier but otherwise this is still one of my favorite local pizza spots. read more

Great pizza spot tucked in the back of a large-ish shopping mall. It's hard to find this place on Google maps (might be worth creating or updating the business page) . When you drive into the parking lot, you'll see kohls to the left, and Aldi to the right. Go in the direction of Aldi and then you'll see a giant sign that says "PIZZA" slightly to the right. - that's it! When you walk in, you're greeted with a large variety of pizza options and 3-4 people who assume you're ready to order instantly. I went with the pesto margherita, campignola (saucy), and classic grandma. My favorite was the classic grandma. I would have liked the pesto margherita to have fresh mozzarella. Campignola was good but the crust was too thick, I'd try the reverse pie called Brooklyn next time. There is ample seating to chose from which each table having its own toppings (paramesan, red pepper flakes, pepper, etc). read more

Tried La Gondola for the first time and it was not great. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed that we wanted pizza. Almost like we annoyed her as she stood over the pizza waiting to not help anyone. The place was not busy but she just seemed like it was a long day. That's understandable and not a big deal. When the slices were ready she took one out of the oven and held it for a while as she chatted with possibly the owner. Then she took out our other slice and an order of garlic knots. All of it was cold except for one part of my daughter's slice. The slices were cold and not very good. Flavor was ok but part of the pizza was cold and some parts were hot. Like when you cook in a microwave. Garlic knots were cold and raw in the middle. My 11yr old who really enjoys her pizza said "this is the worst pizza and who serves raw garlic knots". $15 for two "special" slices and 4 garlic knots. The word part is my wife suggested we go to Kinchley's and I said "nah I'll try this new place". The biggest takeaway from this review is always listen to your wife. read more

Having grown up in NJ, I take my NY and NJ style pizza very seriously (and yes there is a difference bw NY and NJ pizza). Growing up in NJ, Fridays were pizza days at school! So when I come back home, La Gondola is the place we go to! The pizza here is perfection on every level. The cheese pull is divine, the sauce tastes like home and the crust is always just right! I ordered catering multiple times with issues of burnt food and not such great tastes as they usually have. Easily the best pie within 30 miles and there's lots of great pizza in this area but La Gondola stands out among them as the best (possibly one of the top 5 pizzerias in all of jersey) they have an insane range of pies but everything from a classic plain pie to bruschetta (by far the best bruschetta pie in the country) is more than worth the price.
