Primo has been popular takeout spot among my friends and recently it has become my family's Friday night pizza spot. The pizza is always fresh and the sauce holds its own against other pizza places in the area. The real standout surprised me - the empanadas. I was a little skeptical about ordering empanadas from a pizza place but a friend recently raved to me about them. I decided to give them a try and ordered two of the spinach + feta and one ham + cheese. The dough was pillowy soft and contained the perfect amount of filling. Quick tip: they are not listed on the online menu and are inside a case next to the register. This is mostly a takeout spot but there is a fair amount of indoor seating. The parking lot is fairly small and is shared with a pool hall and Wayne Steakhouse. Staff is friendly and happy to help. We order from Primo once or twice a week. Consistent, delicious, and always accommodating. We've also catered several of our large parties from them and always get complimented on the food. Price is good, portions are great. The red sauce (gravy) is on par with most of the Italian restaurants in the area. We get the Tortellini Alfredo with chicken cutlet all the time and it always hits the spot. And if you order their garlic knots, which are awesome, you might get an extra one or two. No guarantees of course but we have been lucky a few times. read more

This place has become our go to pizza place over the last few years. Of course there are a million pizza places in this area, but Primo is the only one that has been consistent every time. The restaurant itself is pretty bare-bones and not super aesthetically pleasing but it doesn't even matter because the food is always so good. Service is always fast. If I could give zero stars I would. Was in there today.. waiting to pick up my togo order (which was ready). I guess another customer walked in who the owner knew and he went right ahead and grabbed his food and rang him up. I was literally shocked. He is beyond rude and I will never give PRIMO another dollar and will be sure to tell everyone I know in town to do the same. I recently ordered catering from Primo for the first time and had a fantastic experience. They were patient with my multiple calls, organized with my order and everything came out hot and on time. The food was delicious! Honestly some of the of the best penne vodka I've ever had, my guests were so excited to take left overs home with them. The trays went a long way and were reasonably priced. I've never had their pizza, so I can't vouch for that.., it their eggplant dishes are excellent. The eggplant parm is a little different, in that it's cut up into smaller pieces, but it's topped with lots of cheese and the sauce is good. I love that they offer rigatoni as a pasta side option. I never see that. I usually order through the Slice app but I've called them to ask them something and they've always been friendly. read more

I always get my pizza from here and it's always delicious but today was craving linguine with white clam sauce. The portion was huge! It was probably the best white clam sauce I've ever had. We ordered from here while on vacation. The person that took our order was very accommodating as we inquired about the free 2 liter with the purchase of a large pizza. He took our order and promised 45 min. delivery. It was around 40 minutes later when we got a call from the front desk of the hotel that our pizza arrived and we remembered we forgot to ask for plates. To our surprise they had us covered and delivered plates with the pizza this might be usual for them but in Chicago if you don't ask for plates and utensils you most likely won't get them. My husband and I order from this place basically 3+ days a week (maybe more because I'm too lazy to cook). We just ordered a pizza with extra cheese, basil, and sauce. It was super awesome. Best in a long time. They always have great pizza, but this time was superb. The cheese was full of flavor. We order from all the local places to try them out but always come back to them. I've been going to this place since 4th grade and now I am 22 years old and about to graduate college. Yes the place has gone through lots of changes but all for the better of the customers and Resturants. Anytime I want pizza I can count on them to deliver in a reasonable amount of time and always will make what ever you ask for. The employees are wonderful. Especially the owner Ceaser who will go out of his way up help you and gives you very accurate times for pick up. Also if you get there and don't see a pizza slice you want he will most likely make a whole pie just for you and give you as many slices as you please. Never again. After ordering the same thing weekly for 5 months now. They still messed up my wife's order of Disco fries. Its the only things she eats from there. Instead of fries cheese and gravy they gave her and oversize portion of just waffle fries. No attention to detail with the chicken fingers either. All stuck together, some orders 5 strips some orders 3 now its just gross. Details & Communication need attention. Stop staring at the big screen and double check orders. I regret ordering 3 pies on fathers day too & only because V&J didn't have a delivery guy yet. I wish them luck. After reading the two reviews written here, I was hesitant to bring my family for lunch to Primo's. It was close to a place we were visiting, and the kids were hungry, so we gave it a shot. The pizza by the slice options were limited, but enough for satisfy the kids. My wife and I ordered sandwiches, and the staff was more than accommodating with a few changes we requested. The sandwiches were made quickly, and they were very tasty! The bread particularly tasted very fresh and had a nice soft texture to it. The best part was dessert. While the options were limited, I LOVED what I chose, which was a three layer chocolate mouse type dessert. Just amazing. So I would not judge this place based on the other two reviews. My coworkers and I occasionally get delivery from here, since its probably the closest pizza joint to us. Not the greatest food, but I don't think it's deserving of one star. Are you really expecting high quality, authentic fare from a strip mall pizzeria? This is fast food version of Italian, like most other pizzerias folks. Doesn't make it right, but let's be fair. We like to get the spinach rolls - big, nice and crispy with lots of spinach and cheese, but admittedly on the greasy side. Pizza here is nothing to get excited over, but its not terrible. This rating would be a lot higher if I didn't have this one issue. 2 days ago I had bought a Large Pie half with BBQ Chicken, Broccoli, and Ranch on top and the other half French Fry. The total had come out to $18. Today I go and I got a small pie. This time when I go to pick it up, the cashier says it's "$20". I question it and bring up the price before and they lower it to $17.59. This i do not understand at all. How is a small pie with the same stuff on it almost more expensive than a Large pie of similar kind. Are you telling me that I could have gotten the large pie for a dollar more? This honestly got me upset and it takes a lot to get me upset and make reviews about places. I would like an explanation for this outrageous price jump and if it was a mistake on the cashiers fault Id like to get some type of money or something back. Everyone makes mistakes and it's fine but I'd like to get something to make up for this. The pizza is OK at best but be careful the guy with the bald head and goatee (owner I think) is very cheap and overcharged us. The pizza we got was half specialty, we thought they would average the price of $14 and $16.50 to $15.25, but instead they charged us 17.25 by adding a $2 delivery charge even though we picked it up IN THE STORE. He refused to change it by claiming that it was still cheaper than Frank's pizza. I told him I would be writing a poor review if he didn't change they DO NOT value customer service.
