Called and asked in the afternoon about the heart shaped pizza. They asked if I wanted a large and we said yes. Went to pick it up and the box felt way lighter than normal. The pizza was the same price as a normal large pizza $18 but half the size (also way thinner crust than a normal pie). The pizza only fed my two kids, meanwhile a normal large would feed my family of 4 w leftovers. Called Danny's to ask about the size and price of pizza and they asked if we wanted to order another one . Listen you want to make small heart shaped pizzas then charge accordingly (small pizza then charge small pizza price). Don't charge for a large pizza then give a small pizza regardless of the shape. My husband is now refusing to order Danny's ever again just because of the attitude he got when calling back. My kids will be very upset because Danny's is normally their favorite. Our friends hosted our Christmas party and catered from Danny's (excellent chicken and penne vodka) and for New Year's Eve ordered several pizzas for their party. I absolutely loved the chicken Marsala pizza but all of the pies were oddly crisp yet the cheese was not completely melted, making the presentation a bit sloppy on some. New to the town so trying to check out the local eateries. Today I wanted a plain old cheese slice and Danny's was my first pizza stop in Bloomingdale. Small pizzeria but there is room to sit. I ordered right at the counter and experience was pleasant. They had a variety of pizzas to choose from but I went for a plain slice. They warmed it up for me and I took it to go. After having a slice though, I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza had a thin, crispy base with an incredibly flavorful sauce. We order from Danny's from time to time. Well the staff working on April 5 & 6 2024, around 8pm has certainly won us over now. We ordered the "Grilled Chicken Emilia" & "Chicken Cheesesteak Special" sandwich on April 5th and it was absolutely delicious, so delicious we ordered again the next night on April 6th. Very nice sized sandwich, with the proper balance of fresh and delicious ingredients. The chicken, arugula, roasted peppers, and fresh mozzarella was amazingly tasty. The Chicken Cheesesteak was absolutely awesome. Best of all, the bread that the sandwiches were made on was what I'll refer to as "Danny's Bread". When we called on the second night, Danny himself overheard us asking for our sandwiches to be made on the bread from the night before, and he gladly accommodated, now that's someone who appreciates his customers. His bread is a seriously delicious improvement to that which sandwiches from pizzerias are usually made on, "Great Job", completely changes the dynamic of the sandwich and very much appreciated. Ask for your sandwich to be made on "Danny's Bread", you'll love it. read more

I always saw Danny's delivery vehicles on the road and fairly new to the area living in Riverdale. Opened a circular, and his menu was inserted inside the middle. Noticed right away a lot of discount coupons as well as a large selection of everything freshly made Italian dishes! Ordered his special pie with everything, and IT WAS DELICIOUS! We are on a mission to find the best Margarita, Grandma, & Grandpa Pizza in North Jersey! We gave Danny's Pizza, Bloomingdale, NJ a try. We ordered the Margarita pie, pepperoni pie, and a Grandma. Up first the Margarita pie: the dough was okay if you like soft pizza dough vs. crispy. The fresh mozzarella was treated like regular mozzarella on a traditional pie... covering the entire pizza which did take away the taste from the sauce. The big negative: canned tomatoes. This really hurt the pie with the massive chunks used. There is such a huge difference in taste when using fresh ingredients especially on a margarita which is all about being fresh. Overall this was not a bad margarita pie. The Grandma. No difference whatsoever from the Margarita. Basically, they took the margarita, canned tomatoes and all, and threw it on a square pizza. The dough was soft, you can taste the fresh basil, and fresh garlic with the fresh mozzarella. Please get rid of the canned tomatoes and this would be a pretty good pie! Danny's did not have a Grandpa (or upside pizza) on the menu so we couldn't give that a try. Instead we ordered a small pepperoni and I have to say..one of the best pepperoni pies we've had thus far! Nice job, Danny's! This tells me that Danny's traditional pizzas are the way to go. Onto the next pizzeria, we are trying one every Friday night. What else is there to do during this pandemic? Stopped there Last nite for Meatball Park sandwich. I was charged $9.49 for the sandwich. I sat down at table to wait for sandwich and I looked at the menu hanging on wall. It had sandwich listed for $7.49. I asked server about the price and he told me they have a new menu and that is the price. He handed me the new menu and I sat down at the table and started to read it.It listed the meatball Park sandwich at $7.49. I went back up to the server and told him the price in the new menu listed it at $7.49.He said they raised the price last night. I don't think I will ever shop there again as I don't trust them. I only come here a few times a week for work, and have tried several bagel places, Italian restaurants, and more bagel places and I was considering relocating for work. However, across the street from where I was getting gas, I saw a small little pizza sign. Danny's Pizza! Burger was amazing, pizza was cooked perfectly, and today we tried the cheese steak! Used to like Danny's. Just had to wait two and half hours for an order. Then when something was said the response was that we were not the only ones waiting for two hours. The food was terribly over salted and the linguine had tiny clam shell chips making it difficult to eat. Needless to say it will be a long time before they get my business again. read more

Best local pizza joint. Pies are just right with crust that's just thick enough and salted enough for good flavor and sauce that's not sweet but sweet enough to compliment the crust and cheese. Was in the area and stopped for a slice of pizza. Staff were all pleasant. They were very busy on a Friday night which is always a good sign. As for the pizza, crust was pretty good. On the thicker side of crusts, but I like that. Plus it was very crispy so I enjoyed it. Nice ratio of sauce to mozzarella. I would not hesitate to try other dishes here. CLOSED MONDAYS! Great place to stop in and eat or grab food to-go. I have recently tried their focaccia sandwich and it was delicious with fresh bread made in-house. Along with the focaccia sandwich I have tried a different variety of their pizza slices and just recently their baked gnocchi with vodka sauce. The dinners come with a little side salad that is delicious and I really like their dressing they serve with it and garlic bread. The amount they give you is huge and I ate it for 2 days. The service is super fast and extremely friendly. Got a takeout mini-plain pie tonight. Pizza was delicious as always. Danny's also seems to be the pizza of choice in my neighborhood, as I always see the delivery cars zipping around town like there is no tomorrow .
