Everything about the cafe was great upon entrance. Had an incredible staff member who suggested different drinks and even found a table for us downstairs. The green tea was superb and espresso was very well made. Then, a server escorts a mom and child downstairs next to our table to change a poopy diaper 2 feet away. I mean, COME ON. Don't get me wrong, poopy diapers need to get changed, but not next to people who are eating. Gagged on my tea from the smell, and jetted upstairs to settle the bill very quickly. Ambiance was great! Coffee was pretty good- not as strong as I wanted, but tbh that's all personal preference.... however... They put chocolate shavings on my cappuccino! I believe i had a trainee take care of me, and there wasnt a lot to pick from. Guess i got there too early. But the caramel latte and tiramisu were very good. Neither were too sweet just right. Hot 97 music usually playing inside.Nice mix of hospital employees, Fordham students, and Slavic guys speaking native languages and smoking at outside tables. Consider buying cookies from the great bakeries nearby to go with your coffee. One waitress hustling, so perhaps a short wait. Free internet can be slow if a lot of students are camping. Consider Antonio's down the block on Crescent for lunch/dinner and Calandria's Cheese shop around the corner on Arthur for a great selection to take home. I got a banana shake and a chocolate croissant. The shake was fresh and thick. I especially enjoy the lively upbeat atmosphere and the view of the neighborhood with many young people sprinkled with tourists. Came here for the first time tonight for a meeting and the ambiance was amazing. Everyone is friendly and great customer service. Music was great too but a little loud for my liking. Besides that, outdoor seating which is perfect for spring/summer, cozy atmosphere and great location with reasonable parking. read more

My typical order would be a French vanilla iced coffee and it does not disappointed! I normally like to order my coffee when I'm having a evening shift because it really keeps me awake and give me a lot of energy. I also like that there is not a limit on using your credit card. read more

Overrated. The hostess was judgmental and unpleasant when I was trying to find my friend in the coffee house. She then suggested that I order a drink that basically was their own brand of instant coffee; it was a cup of hot water and their restaurant's instant coffee packet. It was a weak cup of coffee when I made it too. The ambience is hip, but not homey at all. Would not recommend. read more

Most incompetent staff I ever had the chance to come across with! I came in a couple of minutes ago to get some takeout and not only did they give me the nastiest juice I ever tried ( 1/4 of the cup was juice and the rest was filled with pulp) but they also give me the wrong order. I drove 30 minutes from home to get some tres leches and some tiramisu and instead of getting the 4 tres leches and 2 tiramisus I ordered, all I got was 4 tiramisus. I'm beyond pissed and definitely not coming back here. Only reason I tried this place was because my Albanian boyfriend liked this place so much but after today I doubt we're ever coming back. The girl in the front definitely doesn't look like she trying to keep her job. If you're ever planning on getting some takeout, please do yourself a favor and check the bag before you leave because the careless staff will throw anything in your bag without paying the smallest attention to what they're doing. read more

I do a lot of freelance and prefer to work in a coffee shop. This place has a brilliant creative energy, the owners are super chill people, and the coffee is great. There are plenty of outlets and the long, sturdy, beautiful wooden table is a great place to set up a laptop and notebook. The sliding walls bring an open atmosphere, and there's even tables in the basement if you want a little peace and solitude. Despite being such an amazing shop, it didn't seem to busy even for a weekend. I will come back here for sure. read more
