They already came highly recommended, but when I reached out, they were SO nice. They came out as quickly as they could (most companies told me 2-3 weeks!) but they called me several times to give me updates as to whether they could try to get to me even sooner than my scheduled appointment which was only 1 day after I called! Joe and Corey were truly amazing - firstly, they were incredibly communicative about their ETA. When they arrived, they did a thorough diagnosis of the HVAC unit and even took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why. They took care of the issue with ease and made a lot of recommendations to prevent future damage. They also offered to look at some of the other AC parts and my AC filter just to make sure I was maintaining everything properly - a service they did not need to do or take more time for. They ended up staying just chatting about best practices and were just about the friendliest repair people I have ever dealt with. I own two properties and have been through SO many bad or iffy contractors and repair people so it's such a relief to find reliable and high quality service providers. I will use Fong and Sullivan every time I have an issue and cannot recommend Joe and Corey enough.

We called Regional Heating and Cooling and spoke with Mike who said that he stop by tomorrow at 4pm and his fee was a lot lower than others. Next day came and Mike called saying that he could be there by 2pm, which was even better. Turns out all we needed was a new capacitor and he had part in truck. Mike is very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen as well explain what needs to be done to fix the issue. No root cause was identified, no diagnosis was provided, and the exact same problem returned shortly after the tech left. I called back immediately and only receptionist would speak to me and said nothing could be done as it was the weekend and no management was available....UNACCEPTABLE. As a result, my household was left without hot water for the entire weekend! What is MOST frustrating is they charge a non-refundable diagnostic/scheduling fee and state that the purpose of the visit is to inspect, diagnose, and provide solutions. I expected a professional diagnosis and repair, not a temporary reset that failed almost immediately!

Going out of our way to work locally, we hired JN Service HVAC and Plumbing to inspect and repair an air conditioning unit. The bill for various repairs was about $730. We get that--these things are expensive. But two or three days later, and without anyone else having been in the house (we are traveling), we learned from someone who came in to water our plants that the air conditioning in that unit still was not working AND that the back door had been left wide open, resulting in a massive infestation of ants. The technician even admitted that he left that door open, but said only "my bad." As for the air conditioning unit, upon return to inspect it he said the capacitor had died since his previous visit. Yes, we are to believe that this happened within a few days of an allegedly thorough inspection. We got nowhere with suggestions that it seems much more likely that the technician never checked the capacitor at all, or else that he did and it ran briefly on residual charge. Hoping to resolve this without rancor, we offered to pay for the capacitor itself, but not another service visit. The boss is dug in against that, and no longer responds to messages. We have given up wrangling over this, but did tell the boss that we feel obliged to warn people. This is all very regrettable. We started out wanting to hire and then recommend a local company. Really can't do that in this case.
