A perfect spot if you're looking to enjoy some nice desserts and drinks. It's a little pricey, but it's basically a "high tea" experience. We didn't get any of the tea sets or meal sets since we had lunch elsewhere, but their desserts definitely were delicious and hit the spot! The portions are average for the price, though I do wish portions were a bit bigger, but they all were still perfect for 5 of us to share and have a quick nibble. I really enjoyed their coconut Panna cotta and their lava cake was good too, wanted to try some more and will probably come back soon to try other options. The fruit toast was good, but I'm used to the fruit toast where the bread in the middle is scooped up for more fruit and other sweets. I didn't take a picture of their Assam milk tea but it wasn't too sweet and was perfect to offset the sweetness of the desserts. The hostesses were very attentative and diligent. Came here on a Saturday for afternoon tea my niece. Its a cute spot and I loved their decor. We did the tea for two and I'd say they have pretty standard options for tea. Their tower of pastries/snacks weren't thee best I've had for afternoon tea but it was good enough for the cost. We had an 11 am reservation and got tea around 11:40 and food just before noon. No one greeted us, said Happy Mothers Day, checked in on how the food was, or offered to-go containers. The savory food was mostly disappointing. The sweets were good and the scone was excellent. We've been waiting for a Prince Tea House to open in Edison so we were very excited to finally come here! The food is consistent with all of the other Prince Tea Houses I've tried (and I've frequented many in Ny/NJ) The menu is the same as the other Prince Tea House locations. We like the crispy salted chicken- always a good option. This is similar to the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The light breading is seasoned well. We also like the katsu chicken sandwich. It's an Asian twist on the traditional crispy chicken sandwich. This time I also ordered the Turkey BLT. It was pretty standard. Other items the kids love are the seasoned twisted fries (addictive!) and the sweet potato fries. We love the milk teas here and usually we each order a pot and then try each other's flavors. The tea is heated on top of a little candle to keep it warm. The teapot and candle set looks so dainty and pretty! The Rose milk tea and lavender milk tea are our favorites. Each have a good hint of flavor. I suggest reducing the sugar level because the full sugar level is very sweet. This time, we also ordered the jasmine green tea and earl grey tea. Both are very fragrant and are just as good, or even better than the rose and lavender flavors. The service at this location was a little spotty despite the staff working very hard. There were only 2 servers for the entire place the evening that we were there. The first thing I noticed though, is that this Prince Tea House is significantly smaller than all of the others I've been to. One difference between the Princeton location and here is that in the Princeton location, you scan the QR code and order on your phone whereas here, you view the menu with the QR code but you place your order with the waitress. This wasn't my first time at a Prince Tea House; I've been a fan for quite some and visited other locations before. My friends and I wanted to do a sit-down dessert after a group dinner. We figured Prince is a reliable spot to have options for everyone. We came in just before 9PM on a weekday. They close at 10PM, so we still had a good amount of time to dine in. We were greeted and sat as soon as we walked in. A server came over to greet us and offer some time for us to decide on our dessert options. We scanned the QR for the menu to decide on our dessert options. I wanted to try something new, but the Ube crepe cake is a favorite of mine, and I had to get it. When the server came back, a few of my friends had questions for her. Some of the descriptions weren't super clear, but they were able to decide on their desserts. The desserts came out in about 15 minutes; they came out a little bit staggered with whatever was prepped earliest coming to the table first. It wasn't a major issue since everything came out within a 5-minute span of the first dessert. One of my friends had ordered ice cream with a lighter brown garnish. She was a bit nervous that it could be crushed nuts since she has a severe allergy. I had tasted it myself and was pretty sure it wasn't; we then asked the server who confirmed that is was crumbled pastry pieces. Most of us were happy with our desserts. One of my friends didn't love some of her Trio Combo dessert choices, but that was more personal taste than quality. My crepe cake had the combo that I always look forward to: richness while still being light and airy. Overall, I liked our experience here. The ambiance was nice and quiet, since there weren't too many people in on a weeknight. Service was decent, and the quality was consistent with what I expected given my visits to other locations. So, if it seems like too much, you can ask for a physical menu, especially since the physical menu has a description of each item. My friend and I ordered 2 tea flavors and some desserts. Each tea comes in its own teapot with a tea warmer, and everyone gets their own tea cup, utensils for the dessert, & the table shares a cup of brown sugar. I loved the teas that we selected. They were the fruity teas, and they tasted great. The dessert was just okay, but they have so many options that I'm sure the next time I go, I might find something I like more. Today was the grand opening of Prince Tea House located in the plaza on Old Post Road in Edison. The location was brand new and spotlessly clean. I think the decoration definitely adds a cozy ambiance to your tea time. We were asked to scan a QR code to access the menu. We opted for two teapots of tea (serves 5-6 teacups each) and the durian mille crepe cake. The teas: First one brought out was the Prince Fruit Paradise blend, which by default comes sweetened (lowest sugar level we could go was 30%). This was very fragrant and the light sweetness reminded me of a fruit juice. It was caffeine-free as well. It would be a good choice if coming with a child. The second tea was the Jardin Tropical which was also a caffeine-free tea. It also was very fragrant and had a more herbal taste. Overall I prefer my teas to be less scented, so these were OK, but not my favorite. The durian mille crepe cake is not something I would typically see in other places, so I had to try it! It did not disappoint. There's plenty of durian flavor without the strong smell of the fresh fruit. Probably the best durian-flavored dessert I've ever had! One of the better tea houses I have been to! We (a group of 4) got there for an 11am reservation on a Saturday morning. They open at 11am- we actually walked in at like 10:50am and they seated us. Place looked and smelled very clean. Modern decor - I would describe it as an interesting mixture of boho chic meets nature woods. Not what I would expect for a tea house, but very pretty. Service was kind. Speed of service was reasonable - not the quickest. They brought 2 of the 4 teas out and seemed to forget the other 2 until reminded. I HIGHLY suggest getting an appetizer. It takes awhile to make the pretty towers of food (we got the tea package for 4), so you'll need something to munch on. We got sweet potato fries and they were perfect. Very tasty little buggers. The actual food towers were put together very nicely and had tasty food! Really enjoyed: chocolate croissants and deviled eggs. Did not love: pastrami or the macaroons. Pastrami is an interesting meat choice...I'm not a huge fan. The macaroons were a bit cheap tasting: kind of stale and very sweet with no distinct flavor. The tea itself was very good! I had the earl grey which was lovely. I would also suggest lowering the music a tad - it was slightly difficult to hear convos at one point. Came here with a large group of friends for a book club meeting, and we sat in the private room. The ambiance was lovely, with wallpapers walls and ceilings that give off an air of cottage core meets English tea party. We ordered various desserts and teapots. I tried the durian crepe cake; it didn't smell strong and the taste wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. For the record, I've never tried durian fruit before. I also had the English toffee milk tea (30% sugar), and it was a bit lukewarm to me. I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been served piping hot, but overall I enjoyed the subtle toffee flavor. I do prefer the rose milk tea though. I also had an order of the twister fries, which were the typical curly fries that you can get in the frozen aisle of any supermarket. It seems they were at the end of the bag, because all my bits were broken. Service was impeccable, the waitress was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the coconut panna cotta and New York style cheesecake. The coconut panna cotta is a molded sweetened cream with various flavors such as vanilla and fresh coconut. There were tiny pieces of coconut inside which was delicious. It is was served with strawberry ice cream on the side. The New York style cheesecake was soft, creamy and packed with flavor. The graham cracker base added an unique texture to the cheesecake. Overall, an amazing location for fancy desserts. I would highly recommend this spot. read more

had a bridal shower for a party of 16 today! I called about a month in advance to book this. over the course of a few weeks I called to confirm the time, date, and party size with the staff. I wish that during one of those phone calls (there were at least 4), someone had informed me that due to the party size each person would be charged $35 no matter what they ordered and that there was typically a time maximum of 2.5 hours. the manager did let us stay for longer, but if they were going to tell me of the time limit , that is something that should have been communicated. I feel lke there were more than enough opportunities to do so PRIOR to the event along with the price minimum. Instead, all of this this was told to me by staff members, not the manager himself, in an urgent manner while I was trying to get a large party settled in. the staff however were kind and did their best to work with such a large group. the restaurant was busy and I definitely think they could have benefited from more workers. it was also confusing to me that we ordered 3 "afternoon tea for 4"s (along with other appetizers that were hot, fresh, crispy and very delicious) but they said due to size constraints they turned it into 3 "afternoon teas for 3" and one afternoon tea for 2. this made it hard to share since most ppl worked out how to share what they ordered between those they were sitting with. the assortment for the afternoon tea was aesthetic but overall not that tasty. If I were to return I would recommend the apps, the rose lovers and jasmine milk teas, and other menu items such as the desserts and sandwiches. the afternoon teas were not that good and not worth it for the price. the restaurant itself was decorated so beautifully! also note there is only one single person restroom so you could end up waiting at times. edit: they have a rule where the waitresses have to pour your first cup of tea! this was nice, but my tea was spilled on the table. the waitress was nice enough to clean it up! however when my father said he could pour his own tea the waitress insisted she does the first pour and spilled his tea as well. just something to note! read more

Food was good but this institute can not function well under pressure/rush hour. We came when there was a lot of people but as we sat down, ordered and waited, the customers died down. The only reasoning for our food not coming at all was because there was "a lot" of customers, even though there were some booths and seats left empty. I'm not blaming the waitresses; they were nice, polite and genuinely felt bad for the long wait. (However, they showed some wishy-washy behavior about some inquiries we had. Not too much of a big deal for me.) I am expressing my anger towards the cooks in the back that can not make our food/ dessert in a reasonable time. Our order consisted of: 6 waters (10 minutes) 2 hot teas (30 minutes) 2 crepes cakes (40 minutes) 1 curly fries (45 minutes) 1 chicken waffle (never came) I don't usually get angry at restaurant institutions because I've been in a server's position. I've been to Prince Tea House's BK locations many times and they are known for having great food and that aesthetic tea house decor/vibe. This new location is definitely just as pretty as the other ones, if not prettier!! My bf and I were coming from Top Golf and were craving something sweet, so we decided to come here for dessert and it was only five mins away. We both got waffles- you customize them the way you want (which syrup, fruits, ice cream, and/or whipped cream). I got my waffle w/ condensed milk, strawberries, green tea ice cream, and whipped cream, and my bf got his w/ chocolate syrup, strawberries, and vanilla ice cream. The waffles came out fresh and warm and tasted delicious w/ the coldness of the toppings :) we also both got iced caramel milk tea. Our waitress was really nice. I would def recommend coming here w/ friends or for date night! We will def come back the next time we're in the area. Out first experience here was not as nice as others. We had reservations for a party of seven. One of the entrees arrived quickly. The others arrived staggered over twenty minutes. Then the appetizers arrived. Two of four scones were so hard it wouldn't cut open with a bread knife. The katsu chicken was flat and hard. The strawberries on the waffles, which cost extra, had no taste. Due to a crab allergy we specified asked for the tea tower to NOT have crab. It arrived with crab. It took another ten minutes to replace it with cucumber sandwiches. On the better side, the decor is very nice. The tables and chairs are clean. The tea is flavorful but too cool for my taste.
