Prince Tea House is the newest addition to the burgeoning food scene in Edison. I've been to a few PTH locations in NY and I would say that this location has the cutest decor among all of them. There is ample seating and the customer service is attentive. The savory food selection is quite a bit more extensive than the other locations and it was satisfying enough for lunch. We had the crispy chicken and shrimp lollipops. They were crunchy and well seasoned. We opted for a hot citrus tea that was quite nice with good fruity notes. Prince Tea House has always been a good option. This location in particular was delicious and the service was excellent. We tried a variety of desserts - perhaps our favorite were the Green Tea Brulee and the Durian Crepe Cake. The crea on the cake was whipped fresh, light and airy with a touch of that light Durian flavour, not too sweet at all. The match twist on the creme brulee was very interesting, also wonderly not too sweet but also silky in texture. The highlight for drinks was definitely the Earl Grey Milk Tea, the drink was flavourful and silky smooth like it was strained several times. The teas like the detox tea, oolong teas, and green teas were very fragrant and delicious. Note that things here aren't too sweet ( which is very nice) so if you are going to for unsweetened drinks or less sugar, note that it would be virtually no sugar. read more

I enjoyed the Fried squid tails and twister fries appetizers and the Prince Passion fruit tea. The Katsu chicken entree sandwich was overcooked and had really big end piece tomato slices. The atmosphere was so relaxing and very clean as well and the staff was very nice as well and quick with their order in a good way. The three tiered plates included small pieces of the top desserts, 2 giant delicious scones with cream, and 6 petite tea sandwiches, and 2 deviled eggs. It was all very tasty. Unlike many afternoon tea houses, there are no refills on any of the items - However, for the price, it was plentiful. We also had the fries, which were delicious, and the salty crispy chicken, which was salter than we expected, though maybe we should've paid better attention to the name. What a shame. We arrived around 12:05 as the website said it opens at 12. We were the only ones there and immediately was in aww of the decor and the aroma of sweet fruity tea. We were greeted by a server and she told us we can scan the QR code for the menu. A few moments later she came back saying (in very hard to understand English) that they did not have any of the appetizers because today they are cleaning out the oil in the fryer. So we thought maybe it's a good thing we don't have to get fried food. But then when we came to order she listed more things that they could not make (basically limiting the already small food menu incredibly) and then added that anything else would take a little long to prepare as the kitchen wasn't ready yet! We decided to leave as my friend was on her lunch break and we didn't want to risk being there for too long. It's a shame, I really wanted the tea house experience and we couldn't have it. The jam was really runny, almost as if it was a melted smoothie , it was unspreadable. The salmon salad was just iceberg lettuce with a few cucumbers in it. The fries were okey. I don't think the price is worth it at all. I was kind of embarrassed to invite people to eat here. Don't expect to leave full. It's more cutesy, and great to take pictures but that's pretty much it.
