Like the phrase goes "you gotta pay to play". A lot of people love a beautiful Hawaiian bracelet or a big gold chain. Treating yourself or gifting someone you love a custom made peice of jewelry is a gift in itself. However quality made products cost money. You can't expect this company to provide a completed product if you haven't paid in full. The lay away option is always great but keep in mind they can't start until there is atleast 50% down. Like any other big purchase you should never rush into it so if you don't feel financially ready... don't do it. Plus gold prices bounce up and down daily. Personally Ive purchased about 6 pieces from these guys and the only complaint I ever had was that I had to wait an extra day and a half after the promised date for it to be completed. The owner Alina however treated me to lunch at Wing stop. Return customers get awesome prices & trust me I always shop around before deciding. Long, but worth the read.......I'm giving my review because I think they deserve a much better rating than they have on here. I ordered a 32mm bracelet and got it customized perfectly according to the digital image, Diana even made me a design and recommended some styles that worked out well. When the bracelet was completed I had some concerns-but I think the job was rushed, and quite frankly it showed in the bracelet. I won't lie I was hella pissed. I voiced my concerns with Alina and Diana and we were able to come to a resolution. They came through as promised and I love my new bracelet. Bottom line they are super good people and as long as you communicate your issues they are very receptive and will do what they can to make you happy. I even witnessed Alina give a customer who was waiting on her necklace (which was supposed to be pau, but wasn't) to be re-enameled one to use OFF THE STORE DISPLAY because the customer was attending an important family dinner in which she wanted to wear her necklace. I thought that was very respectful of Alina and honestly that is how you treat people, with respect! Side note, I know everyone is excited to get their jewelry especially since we pay up front but allow them the time they need to create your jewelry. Communication sucks! Daughters quote you one price then their mother quotes you even higher, saying we have to charge more. Than they say your order is ready and when you arrive it is not ready. Ordered from here twice, finally learned from my second time when I called about my pendant 2 weeks after it should of been ready only for them to say they need to make the loop for the chain bigger. We normally shop at a jeweler in Kaneohe but have heard a few good things about this place so my Mom wanted to give it a try. She bought a chain for me and a Hawaiian 14k gold ring for my sister. They told my Mom to come back in two weeks and they'd have the ring ready for her. My Mom went back and the ring wasn't done. The lady owner told my Mom, "well my husband sick, he cannot make if he sick." My mom said well why didn't you call me so I didn't need to drive here. They said come back two days, be ready. My Mom called before she went this time and they said it still wasn't ready. Tomorrow come, it'll be done they told her. My Mom went back and it still wasn't done. They said you wait one hour we be done. My Mom was pissed because this is now the third time she's been there (she drove from Kaneohe). The lady was rude and my Mom told her just give me my money back already I don't want the ring. She said, oh I give you only half back. Half??? Wtf, why half when we paid full price and giving us the run arounds with bs stories why it wasn't done. My Mom said I'll give you one hour, if it isn't done you're giving me the full amount back. There is not one professional in this whole place. The work is generic and a waste of $. They are rude with no answers after they take your payment. Jewelry is cheap and low quality. Unprofessional owners and once they get your $ there is no quality. Went in last Monday to get a gold necklace for my wife for mothers day. They said it would be ready in a couple days and I could pick it up before mothers day. Wednesday no call or answer. Thursday no call or answer. Friday no call no answer. Saturday I went down in person at 12 because that's when they open. Waited for 6 hours in my car hoping someone would show up but nothing. I paid in full and the lady seemed so nice and anxious to make our necklace. This isn't the first time I've gone there and nobody was there. If you have a sigh with the store hours you should be open when it says you're open. Not take thousands of dollars from people and only show up when you want to. Decided to try this place based on a recommendation from a friend... BUYER BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE! Gold may not be as pure as they say! Placed an order in December for 2 necklaces they said it would be ready in a month. Went back more then a month later and item not even started. I decided to give them a chance and then check back and item still not ready. I went back in June only to get excuses about the item. The owner Alina said "we were on vacation so I think my sister has it, let me check with her." I waited in the store for 4 hours thinking the sister had items and was to bring it, only to realize it was just being made as I waited! I wasn't upset and just let It go trying to give the company a chance thinking they were busy so decided to order other items. BIG MISTAKE! Placed my order put money down and told to come back in 4 weeks. I come back and as soon as I walk on the door the owner Alina does not acknowledge me and makes like she had never dealt with me. Confused by such unprofessional service then asking to pick up my order, again another excuse "I'm sorry my mother is sick in the hospital, I'm tired." Trying to be empathetic and understand the situation waiting around in store till they figure out where my order is. Then she turns on me upset and arguing "we don't understand your order, that's why it wasn't started." Questioned if they did not understand my order why make me wait 1 month then to drive down cause I kept trying to call and no answer and that's when she started yelling at me. Suggested that she could have easily called me this is when she started yelling loudly "I don't want to do it for you." I laughed and thought how unprofessional this lady is and I agreed that I did not want to do business with them and wanted all my money back. I'm appalled by how such business can take your money, promise you it will be done, yet that is all lies. Same time I'm in there another customer arrives to ask for a refund (while I'm waiting to find out where my order is) since the pendant she ordered 3 month's ago wasn't even started as promised. Alina and her family again very unprofessional, yelling and arguing at this customer in front of my family and I! Blown away by what was said by such business owners, I was over it and decided I really do not want to do business with these people and will share my experience so hopefully many people see and don't trust such company. Also to add to this and why this business disgusts me recently talking to a friend about this company Princess Gold 2 weeks ago, was told that their daughter tried to sell her custom made pendant (similar to what I purchased from Princess Gold) to Honolulu Trading Company only to find out from Honolulu Trading Company that the custom made pendant was not pure 14kt gold, they would not take it in and was told by Honolulu Trading Company that there was more metal in custom made pendant then 14kt gold and to go back to place originally purchased. Princess Gold acknowledged that pendant was not pure gold and offered only to make another pendant for our friends daughter (I would be skeptical to have another one made). I originally did not want to mention this and would only do so once I check with other jewelry companies to see if the pendants (I purchased in December and only ready in June) for my daughter and grand daughter is 14kt as stated. The way she was yelling at me since she was already upset with the previous customer then decided to take it out on me... I decided to call her out on this especially after how she treated me yelling, but of course her continuous lies denying that "we don't sell fake jewelry." Funny cause our friends daughter was just in your store a few weeks ago with the fake pendant they originally sold them and you offered to make another one!! Definitely will take my recently purchased necklaces to another company to test if it 14kt gold like Princess Gold states and see if other metals are mixed in our recently purchased jewelry too, like our friend experienced! She needs to be careful ripping off customers, cause Karma will bite her back big time! If it turns out that items I purchased isn't 14kt as stated definitely won't let her get away! Than another customer comes in same problem and his wife's bday is the next day it was already 2pm he came after work. So he said he wanted it done by 8pm that night he'll come back I told my husband there's a lot of people with the same complaint. Than after waiting for 4 1/2 hours or more idk lost track we get the bracelet and my daughters name is missing a T in her name and when my husband told her she said what does it matter it has one T than says why did I spell my daughters name with two T's I was like first off IT DOES MATTER second I'm not staying here any longer give my husband a discount and I'll leave! they gave us $50 back off of 1600.00 smh! So when I first walked into the store, they didn't even acknowledge me. Mind you, they have to buzz you in. So right off the bat I got the wrong vibe. Finally after almost an hour of waiting, she quoted me too high a price for a baby heirloom set so I left and went to JHL Jewelry. JHL was awesome and was able to help me with some of my baby's jewelry at a decent price (I don't think Linda really does sets) but could not do a custom design that I wanted for my own pendant so I went back to Princess Gold for it. After I told her I went somewhere else for my baby's jewelry, she acted like she would have given me a better deal and she (the owner) was trying to get me to cancel my order with JHL (so glad I didn't because I am happy with their quality and the amount of time it took them to get it done!) but I told her I just wanted a pendant. She said she could rush it since I was leaving Hawai'i in a week, so I ordered it. It was Wednesday, she promised it on Saturday so I called that afternoon to be sure but they said it won't be ready until 5 pm Sunday. Then around 3 pm Sunday they said it won't be ready till 6. Then 4 pm came and they said they won't get it done till 8. Then I get there at 7 hoping they'd be done with it sooner but now they're telling me tomorrow, which is Memorial Day so I don't really have time to come back before my flight Tuesday morning. So now they're saying 9. I'm going there again at 9 pm sharp and will let you all know what happens. I wasted a whole day (which has been very rainy) waiting around in this area for her (since I live on the west coast) only for them to give me the run around and she makes like it's MY FAULT! Like don't say you can get something done, take someone's money, and don't deliver on your word! She also has my moms pendant and ring that she said she would reenamel for free but haven't heard anything about it and since they weren't at the shop, their daughter didn't know anything about it. I would love to see them try to say we never gave it to them or they lost it so I can sue the crap outta them (pre-law school). Quality isn't the best but they have nice stuff, however, they are shady, super shady. Do not do business with them. What's worse is I didn't Yelp them first (which I usually do before doing business with anyone) because my cousin referred me to them so it makes them look bad too. SMH. Very disappointed. The owners are nice & friendly. I ordered a 32mm bracelet and paid IN FULL on October 1st. I was promised completion of my bracelet in 2 weeks. Today is November 18th and still NO BRACELET! In between these dates, I have called and each time some excuse why the bracelet hasn't been made! Excuses from they didn't order enough gold to they lost the invoice and drawing. I on 2 separate occasions had to give them the details I wanted on the bracelet. Even with that, the sample layout sent to me was WRONG! They have lots of customers... every time I go there they are busy. But, something isn't right! It has been over one month and nothing but excuses!!! Beware!
