The billing side is a disaster, they outsourced the billing department and they are completely clueless on to handle billing issues. Scummy business practices to avoid billing through insurance and take up front cash payment instead. At check in, they claimed to have pre-authorized the visit with my insurance and estimated cost of more than $500 through insurance as I hadn't met my deductible -- offered an option for me to pay $280 cash and NOT go through my insurance. When trying to check my insurance to validate the estimate through insurance, they pressured me that if I didn't make a decision, I was going to lose my appointment. Post appointment, I was able to check with my insurance and found out what they said to be completely wrong. My OOP through insurance would've been less than $100. Scummy way to do business. This place should be avoided at all costs! Rude doesn't even begin to describe the front desk. Then there's the protocol of not sending the disc to your provider, after much prodding the nasty rude person finally admitted they send a report. So I'm responsible for delivering the disc and since I need a second disc to mail to my out of state Doctor they charge an additional $10.00 . Really? Sent me a bill for MRI, paid it and one year later got a notice from collections for said bill, different amount. several calls later to settle the debt, they can't figure out what I owe. This place is ridiculous. I scheduled a mamo and a breast sono 3 months ago. I was advised that they have a new policy and both screenings can be done on the same day. I questioned them and they said yes both in one day. I had my mamo and they said they cannot do the sono. The scheduler was wrong. This is because of insurance purposes. I have done numerous mamos and sonos in New York - no problem. Not only that because they screwed up I have to wait 2 weeks for a sono. Thank God I work remotely several days a week so I can schedule when I'm working from home - if not I would have to use 2 vacation days. They don't do any breast xrays on Saturdays - nothing before 9:30 nothing after 5:30. It's like bankers hours. This is a big joke. read more

Billing department is terrible in this office! I will not be going back here. My YEARLY mamo has been covered for the last six years, same codes and now I keep getting a bill. I went in for a chest X-ray as a walk in and waited over an hour and was told that they had no idea when I would be able to go in. There were no more then 4 patients at any given time in the waiting room and they still could not give me an estimate. I have been going here first years for an annual mammogram. Covid pushed my appointment from March to June in 2020. Now they are adiment about not allowing me to make my appointment in March because not a year. I want it back in March not June (conflicts with travel and every year but gets further out in the year). The appointment is only 6 weeks earlier than last years. My insurance said you can shedule a mammogram anytime! No 365 day requirement. Yet I new waited an extra 45 minutes to fight with billing person. And signed a waiver. Horrible customer service, incosiderate mangament! Lost almost an hour for our scheduled test at Princeton Radiology's Marlboro office, then were sent home with the appointment not being honored. We had an appointment scheduled, were physically in the office before the appointment time with online paperwork prefilled, didn't get called to front desk till 20 minutes in, had to redo paperwork due to it being in blue ink. Waited another 25 minutes and then were told we arrived late and would not be seen, which, again, was false. if we were late, why weren't we told when we walked in ?!!! Plea with the manager with multiple options including our willingness to wait as it is important for the test to be completed that day. The manager refused to accept any of my pleas or come up with any accommodation. Ultimately, Princeton Radiology refused to perform our test even though we had arrived before our scheduled appointment time with paperwork filled out, and sat there waiting for nearly an hour before being told that we would not be seen! This simply outrageous display of unprofessionalism should not be tolerated! My experiences with this group since they took over for Freehold Radiology have been worse and worse with each visit and the customer service has taken a big hit. We have been a faithful customer for almost a decade. I guess it's time to patron other Radiology groups in the region. read more

Went for mammogram and Bone Density test. they charge me co-pay. (according to my insurance I had no co-pay. they called me back for more Mammogram images and lady was asking me for $45 Co-pay and when I said let me talk to my insurance she told me to make another appointment. front desk staff are very rude. Horrible-horrible-horrible!!! Was scheduling MRI and needed prior authorization from my med insurance. Hoping to get it in a few days, as I was initially told by Princeton Radiology, made an appointment a week-and-a-half in advance. A day before appointment, got a phone call from Princeton Radiology that I do not have authorization due to lack of paperwork from doctor's office. Called doctor's office and was informed that paperwork was sent by doctor's office to Princeton Radiology on the first day. Princeton Radiology was sitting on it for all time, more than a week, before they even looked at their fax for documents from doctor's office and without checking claimed they didn't get anything from the doctor. How unfair was that to blame doctor's office, who responded with necessary paper right away! Called my med insurance and got authorization within the next 15 minutes. Princeton Radiology told me they would need papers from doctor's office to submit to insurance. Insurance told me they don't need doctor's papers from Radiology to get authorization. All they need is a number, which could be provided and accepted by phone. Insurance told me, this authorization generally takes 20 minutes. Time is important when it associated with health-related issues, especially when you need radiology diagnostic, and, apparently, Princeton Radiology did not do anything for more than a week! When expressed my concerns with local manager, in response, I was told that I'm difficult patient to deal with and they cannot provide any further service to me. When tried to reach out Doctor, who is this business owner, only I could do is to leave a message with his reception/assistant. The doctor never returned phone call. The receptionist/assistant does not provide his email. You, basically, cannot reach the Doctor the Owner. People at front desk and management are totally not responsive, not cooperative, not interesting in providing customers with even decent attention and care they should and what people deserve. They just don't care! Contrary, the technical stuff is knowledgeable, very polite, accommodating and nice to deal with. Unfortunately, the receptions/registers and management is awful! I would give zero star to the billing department if that possible. On March/5/2023, I received a collection agency notice that I have a balance of $80 is due from December/2022 service. I have the CORRECT address and contact information with Princeton Radiology and Princeton Radiology billing department claimed that the post office weren't able to forward the billing invoice. (It confuses me that why the collection agency is able to send the collection notice to my address. ) And Princeton Radiology made no attempts to contact /reach out to me to verify information before they send my billing invoice to collections.. Anyway, I asked the billing department for the itemized bill and remove the negative remark with the collection agency since it is not my fault for not knowing the bill. The billing department insisted that they cannot remove any negative remark until I settled the bill. As of today, I still have not received the itemized from Princeton Radiology. I have been a long time patient with Princeton Radiology because their staffs were courteous and helpful, It is disappointing how they treat their patients these days! read more

They were spot on with your appointment time, no waiting in the waiting room which is always a win for me! Before I checked out they had the MRI CD done and ready again no wait! I went to Princeton Radiology in Morganville today for an MRI for my knee 7/22/2021 at 11:30. The greeter couldn't have been more pleasant. She was very helpful since I was on crutches and in pain. All the Covid protocols were in place and very organized. I went right in for my MRI and was greeted by Evan. What a pleasure he was! He was very empathetic and helped with my brace and had my CD done and ready in minutes. Dr. Pete Mezzacappa was the radiologist who was very professional and knowledgeable. This company is the least trustworthy organization I've ever dealt with. They give you a price that a test will cost and then charge double that price. I was paying them their ridiculous price, making payments every month and communicating with them the whole time. All of a sudden, the week after making another $200 payment, they put me in collections with no warning. read more

I wrote a scathing review this week, and in less than 24 hours Sheila, the office manager, called and apologized profusely for the lack of service. She promised that would not be the case on my next visit. ( I had walked out after waiting an hour and rescheduled). True to her word, I waited only 15 minutes, the technician was lovely and competent and my experience was 180 degrees different than earlier in the week. I have been going to Princeton Radiology for many years for my mammography. The staff has always been courteous and very efficient. However,I thought the tech was a little rough and when I went into the dressing room to get ready to leave I realized it wasn't my imagination. I had redness and bruising all over my chest. Brought my daughter here for a chest xray and it was relatively painless. All the staff here were friendly and the wait time wasn't too long despite not having an appointment. They even have a radiologist on site to read your scans, so their impressions of the scan can be relayed quickly to your doctor's office. They participate in most major insurances. read more

This time around the tech did not know what they were doing which caused me to have another procedure, which I had somewhere else ( with no issues). I was charged for both procedures. I had to have a simple xray done of my back. I did not have an appointment but went at lunch time - I walked in at 12:04 and did not leave until 1:32. I could not even wait to obtain my CD of the films. There are 25 or more people walking around all complaining that no one is doing their job. The girls at the front desk took me immediately and checked me in. Then it was a revolving door of staff going out for lunch. If they cannot accommodate people at lunch time - when most people would come being they are on lunch - they need to let you know. When I finally went into the xray room, all the tech did was complain to her colleagues that the front desk was asking why are they not taking patients back. Unfortunately I've had my share of tests being chronically ill and this was quite a mess considering it was only an xray. This is the second time I've come as I should have not returned because last time they xrayed the wrong arm....don't waste your time here beacuse that is all you'll be doing. read more
