I visited twice in a recent visit to my hometown. I had not been there since the 70s. I believe it has seen several owners and names since the Princeton Lounge days. I found the food excellent and the servers friendly. I did takeout both times so I can't speak on the ambiance. There was a live band playing one of the times (St. Patrick's Day 2026), and people were enjoying themselves. I've heard the Prime Rib is fantastic. The bar area is quite inviting and the service was great. I had the halibut special and was suitably impressed with the quality and quantity of the fish as well as a perfect preparation.. We were a party of six retired men from the area having our holiday luncheon on a Thursday afternoon. Ashley was our very welcoming host who brought us to a reserved round table in the main dining room. She made sure that each of us had both the lunch menu and the daily specials menu. Two of the function rooms were occupied but the dining room was half filled so not too noisy for six of us with loud voices. Plenty of selections to choose from between the two menus. Our orders varied from chicken parm served with homemade ravioli to fresh seafood to chicken croquettes to enormous prime rib! All were delicious and contained enough for a second serving at home! Most of all we were very fortunate to have Cory as our dedicated waiter for the event. Always attentive we never wanted for anything yet he gave us the space six guys need when having a holiday outing. We are already planning our next visit and we will be sure to request him again. What you get at the Princeton is excellent service, food, and a great relaxing atmosphere. You can watch your sports or play keno or just sit back and enjoy your time there. They have a lounge big enough for large groups and a restaurant area that accommodate a small group or large party. If you're in the area of Chelmsford make sure you stop by n enjoy. You could easily miss this place driving by as it doesn't have much curb presence. Once you pull in there's ample parking. You have your choice of tavern or dining room. The service is very very good. The menu is loaded with hood options that had me really indecisive. The portions are generous and the food tasted great. Pretty sure everyone in our party was full, and had a take home container. Beer selection is decent and they make good cocktails. read more

Had a great bartender busting her butt working and was very friendly an attentive to drinks. Her coworker was the opposite. She was rude, lazy and did not attend to customers around the bar and was checking her phone. They may pool tips so make sure you if you get good service that its discreetly given to your server or bartender and not the ones that dont work or earn it. read more

A long time family favorite! I've been coming here for I think over two decades now. It has always been one of our primary go-to places. I have countless memories of celebratory meals, birthdays, and just didn't feel like cooking, nights here. We always sit in the back bar which serves the full menu and has plenty of TVs and Keno as well! Service has always been great and friendly, karaoke nights and other live music is super fun too. This is a dated, dark, uninviting venue, it smells old. Feels like the kind of place my grandparents used to go to. Prices were insanely high for the area - more like upscale restaurants near Boston ($18 and up for a burger and soft drinks in a medium-sized glass were $4 - we asked for water and never received any, and a over $10 for a basic salad). The food came hot and it was good, the service was good, everyone though seemed incredibly stressed and rushing. Bathrooms were ghastly. 1st and last time going there. Decided to try a new restaurant for when I was home and this place was alright. The cauliflower was the best. We also had the potato skins which I thought was ok, but it was a lot of food. For dinner I had the lobster Mac and cheese, I was between the Mac and cheese and ravioli, but the sever said she just found out they had the ravioli on the menu so it made me a little skeptical. well i have driven by this many many times but first time visit....big place with a big parking lot and a pretty busy place...we ate at the bar and enjoyed everything....service was pleasant and pretty busy also....drinks were good, we tried 2 of their specialties, and liked both, lunch was a reuben and a chicken parm, both were great and the chicken parm was particularly great, not huge but very tender....liked it all!!! we will be back!! read more

This is only for the food that we got for take-out. It was simply OK. Prime rib and French onion soup. The soup was on the saltier side, and the prime rib was generous but it didn't taste that high quality? We much prefer the Friday prime rib dinner at Summer Street Grocers. Idk how this place isn't 5/5! Every time I've been to Princeton station it has been BOMB, delicious, creme de la creme. Big portions, and good prices AND this includes SEAFOOD. About $18 for salmon to baked scallops, lobster, etc. Our server tonight was a sweetie sweetie, and didn't steer us wrong with the espresso martinis, followed by an Apple something sangria, including a cinnamon stick inside. I got the Dijon salmon dish - didn't love the Dijon sauce on top as it overpowered a perfectly cooked salmon but it wasn't bad. The seasonal veg tonight was butternut squash.... don't sleep on this. It was unreal good, not mediocre like you may taste on the holidays. I could say a lot more but we'll save it for the next visit. I came here with my boyfriend on August 10, 2022 from around 4-5:30 based on the time stamp on my photo below. It was taken at 4:58 pm which is probably around when we got our food. We eat and really enjoy the food. At 6:27 pm, we're sitting around. Then my boyfriend starts talking about how his stomach is hurting and he's not feeling well at around 7:05-7:15. I say between then bc I have photos with a time stamp of 7:15 of where he's looks ill and exhausted. By 7:30 pm, hes fully fledged looking very much out of it, lightheaded, and groaning. We were thinking that he probably ate a lot so his stomach is acting up because he did have a big steak but no. He ends up in the hospital because of his allergies. We don't know why or how it happened. We did carefully tell the waitress his allergies and they did accommodate to him. The food was delicious but it was an unfortunate situation and we'll not be coming back in case another situation happens again. read more

Classic type of location for solid food, great service, and live music if you want. Came here on a Friday night with two other people and was able to sit in the live music area immediately. Ordered chicken tenders and calamari to start. Ordered steak tips and baked potato and the other two ordered burgers. All the food was solid and service was super attentive. If you want to sit and have a chat through dinner, it can be loud at times so would advise you to eat in the main dining area. Heard good things so was excited when Mildred & Minerva suggested this place for lunch. Met them there at 12:30 on a Tuesday & the dining room was mostly empty. So we were SHOCKED when told it was a 20-25 minute wait for a table. We sat & waited & the host told us "once someone leaves we'll get you in". At this point we left & went 100 yards down the road to The Establishment & were seated immediately. The waitress there mentioned that it was school vacation week so they had extra help on, as "Grandparents like to take the kids out to lunch on vacation weeks". I suggest Princeton Station follow this advice for future school vacation weeks. We'll ty again another time & hope for better luck. read more

Quickly becoming one of our favorite hangouts for food, drinks, and atmosphere. I personally find the restaurant to be less appealing and prefer to sit in their large bar area. Great atmosphere, casual and inviting. Food is excellent and we are progressing through the menu from appetizers to handhelds to full on meals. Salads are fresh and decent sized. Specials are always a good option, as are the tried and truly favorites. This is a menu that's familiar to anyone, plenty of comfort items and a good variety for the finicky eaters. We had a baby shower today for my two pregnant daughters. We had a choice of steak tips, chicken parmesan, and haddock. Everyone loved their dinners. Plenty of food too! The room was great and Mike was helpful in getting the flowers on the table and advising me what florist to use( that delivered them too). I've been to Princeton Station a few times with my family and I've never had a disappointing dinner. The menu is huge, there are so many different options. There is also a full bar! I've tried menu items from butternut squash ravioli to chicken piccata, to salmon and scallops, all of which are excellent. Highly recommend the scallops, my mothers boyfriend said that they were the best scallops that he's had in a very long time. Had dinner here last night and our waitress in the bar/lounge area was very friendly and she took great care of us. Unfortunately I didn't get her name! We visited last night (Friday) and it was jam packed! We were still sat right away and our server Michelle was amazing. Super responsive, and observant. Refilled our drinks several times, got us boxes for our food quickly and the check came right when we were done. Had Princeton Station on our bookmark for quite some time so thought we would try it out as we were in the area. It was quite late in the day so wasn't too busy. The dining room is very nice but a little dark. We sat in a booth. The waitress came over an got our drink order. She brought Garlic Bread that was good but not very garlicky. I ordered clam chowder which was very good. It is hard to get clam chowder that is tasty for some reason but this was very good. Hubby ordered Veal Parmesan and I ordered Farfalle with Chicken and veggies that was a special. Mine was overpowered with the cheese they put on top. Way too cheezy for me. It ruined the whole dinner. Hubby's Veal Parm was deep fried. When he started eating it the coating came completely off and left a total mess on the plate. They really have to perfect the coating issue and FYI... Vela Parm is pan sauteed not deep fried. All in all it was OK just OK. Probably not somewhere I would go out of my way to return to. read more
