Their mechanics are going to find something "wrong", call you, tell you your car needs this or that, tell you they have to order the part (so much for their Parts Department!), and have to keep your car overnight so they can work on it the next day. Yep, this is standard operating procedure for Priority Honda. The sad part is they have you by the short hairs. You don't know if what they say is true or not. But, you're not willing to risk it so you pony up another thousand dollars. Yes, this has happened to me at least a half dozen times in the past 3 or 4 years. You'd think I would wise up by now. We were initially impressed with our salesman, Jim--he was friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, things took a sharp turn when it came time to negotiate the price on a new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring. They brought over a sales manager or "closer" named Marcus, and that's where the experience went downhill fast. From the moment he joined the conversation, Marcus was rude, pushy, and completely unprofessional. He didn't listen to what we were saying, got visibly annoyed that we were negotiating at all, and started using questionable sales tactics to disguise the true price of the vehicle. When we noticed and called it out, he got defensive and condescending--not just toward me, but toward my wife as well. He treated us like we were wasting his time and even mocked the idea of us shopping around, insisting we wouldn't find a better deal anywhere else. Well, we did. We left and went to Hall Honda, where the team was straightforward, respectful, and offered a significantly better price with none of the games. I would not recommend Priority Honda to anyone, and that is almost entirely due to the behavior of Marcus. I don't know why a dealership would keep someone like that representing their brand. Maybe he gets results, but his tactics are rude, manipulative, and frankly insulting. I do not like going to car shops because its always a hassle and it takes literally all day. However, I love going to Priority Honda because I get to atleast set up an appointment for my state inspection and does it for free. The comfort in the inside is awesome. They have a computer lap section with all apple macs, a comfortable lounge area with free coffee, and a movie theater. My go to spot is the movie theater! I was able to still be working and enjoying movies as I waited for my state inspection to be done. My only issue is even with an appointment set up, it still takes about 2 to 3 hours. Jeff sold me my first car in 2000 and since then, my mom and I have been consulting him ever since before purchasing vehicles. My last vehicle I purchased from Jeff was back in 2010 I believe. But most recently, my mom worked with Jeff to purchase her newest vehicle. For the most part the process from start to finish was pretty smooth. Despite one hiccup, not Jeff's fault, but Jeff made sure he made the situation right. Once it was time to move to the financing area of the sale, my mom dealt with Linda. Linda is so personable and down to the Earth. I sat in during this interaction and it was a pleasant one. I would leave 0 stars if I could, came here one evening to look at an odyssey, had an appointment for 6pm. Showed up at 6 and stood in the lobby for 30 minutes. Never even got help until I asked a worker to get me a salesman. Proceeded to look at a vehicle with Jim Booth, looked at it and made a deal but said he couldn't sale it since it was in the shop. Told h no problem call me when it's out I have the check ready. They call me the next morning at 9am to schedule me an appointment to come in that day so I asked if the van was out of the shop. I talked with Tony the manager and he was performing a full coverup for his incompetent techs. My car harness was damaged by rodents. I take it here, massive mistake. Soon after I have electrical issues car is dying every week, battery has to be jumped, which they jumped when I picked it up. RED FLAG. I bring it back due to the battery dying they say it's my car door handle malfunctioning from the circuit staying open. I don't believe them especially since they want $700 for a door handle repair. Despite the diagnosis matching the defect described in the bulletin, I was told after the fact that my vehicle "is not eligible," even though: * TSB 20-030 extends MPI warranty coverage to 15 years or 150,000 miles * The bulletin identifies MPI failures caused by a defective solder joint * The bulletin specifies that the MPI should be replaced if any of the listed codes or failure conditions are present. Please note failure codes were identified and as stated in SB 20-030 if codes were identified the vehicle falls under warranty: The following verbiage is as follows for vehicles with this issue and quality for this repair under a warranty of extension: "Yes- Replace the MPI UNIT GO TO SERVICE REPAIR" or "No- This service Bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal system troubleshooting." The official Honda owner-notification letter states: "This warranty only covers vehicles that have a defective motor power inverter... The motor power inverter may fail due to a defective solder joint and will be replaced." The bulletin also specifies the failure mechanism: "The motor power inverter may fail over time due to a defective solder joint." It also identifies the exact trouble codes associated with MPI failure: P1440, P1437, P15A5, P0A78, P0AE1, P0AEE, P0A27, among others. (Honda TSB 20-030) Your dealership diagnosed the identical failure, and my symptom, including total loss of power, mirror those described in the bulletin. (Lifetime Oil change is not free) it cost $700 for lifetime. I was told it cost over $100 to change oil per finance rep (Mr Turner). So l purchased that. He was trying to explain to me that technically it was free since oil changes cost around $100 and I would get my money's worth back after 2 yrs. I tried to explain to him that it was not free because I had to pay for the lifetime oil changes. He misinformed me about additional package deals in regard to repairs on any rips, stains or fades inside the car and it would be repaired. The car got scratched on the front and I thought it would be covered but he told me it was a different plan. I've emailed Mrs parinas 3 times and she only responded the first time. They are nice and friendly to you up front and then will act like they don't know you anymore once they get their money from you . I hope my son will not be targeted or mistreated when he brings in his car for service (Oil changes and or state inspections). Be careful when purchasing a vehicle. I asked about SUT for Disabled personnel and the sales lady had no clue on what I was asking for. The sales person should know or have an idea about the Sales and Use Tax (SUT) for Exemption for Disabled Veterans. Meaning if you are 100% Disabled Veteran, you're allowed to purchase 1 vehicle tax-free. We even gave Mrs Renatta all 10 ratings, as soon as she got what she wanted, no more contact with her. Loved this dealership and experience in the past but after this past Saturday, they have left a sour taste in my mouth. I purchased my 2017 Honda Accord Sport from this dealership on July 22, 2017, brand new. Sales team was awesome, service department was stellar to the point where we didn't mind driving from Jarratt, VA in order to get our service. We loved the Sales and Dealership so much that we purchased a used 2013 Toyota Tundra from them in 2019. Well, everything started going to hell in a handbasket starting 6 months ago when we were informed that they no longer serviced Toyota vehicles or any other model vehicle other than Honda on the weekends which is most convenient for working individuals who live outside of the area. We ended up taking the Tundra to Priority Toyota Chesapeake and experienced such good service that this is where we will be taking the Tundra moving forward. Back to the experience on this past weekend. We've been taking the Honda to them since we purchased the vehicle for service. I was scheduled for a state inspection, Oil and Filter Change (Priorities for Life), and Tire rotation at 0830. Made it to the appointment early but I noticed that none of the familiar smiling faces were in the service department. We've seen several changes over the years, but didn't pay it any mind. My assigned service technician was Chelsea. I received the introductory text, which is a nice feature, and all was going well. While waiting for my vehicle, I received a text that additional services were needed for my vehicle, and it came with a video link. Well guys I watched the video, and the technician stated that he was able to get all of my tires off for the tire rotation except one. Well, I moseyed on into the service department and the service technician whom I spoke to (Her desk was next to Chelsea's as Chelsea was with a customer, and I didn't want to be rude) said that it was a lug nut issue and that the cost was $439 for one lug nut and that I needed an engine air and cabin filter replacement ($20 each at Advanced Auto but dealership waned $129.99), and a plethora of other unnecessary services, brake fluid replacement, transmission fluid replacement (Honda Manufacturers and my Manual recommend to perform this service at 100K miles and I only have 70K miles) She said that they had performed the oil change but rejected my state inspection due to the lug nut issue. I asked twice was it for one lug nut and she said yes. After speaking with my DAD, who was with me and is a retired-licensed mechanic, and he said that it didn't sound right, ($439 for one lug nut replacement) and tell them to put the car back together and bring it out. So, I told them to assemble the car back to operational status and bring it back. I go down the street to a tire place at the suggestions of my DAD and had the team to look at that "lug nut issue." They guy came back and said it looked like whomever was removing the tire, had the impact wrench turned forward (in the tightening position) rather than backwards (removal position), and stripped the stud and not the lug nut. He showed my DAD how the stud was just spinning and evidence of new metal shavings. I asked how much to repair it with my mechanic (DAD) in tow, and he said he would replace the one stud for me for $75. He said it was an easy fix and that it would only take about 30 to 45 minutes. The guy did it in 29 minutes without the $439 Honda sticker price. I was planning to go back to Honda the same day for the inspection to be redone, but DAD said NO! I ended up getting my state inspection done at another location. The guy who did my inspection stated that my car passed emissions and everything else, and he asked why Priority Honda rejected it. I explained to the guy that Honda rejected my State inspection due to the One Spinning stud on the car. The guy that performed the inspection stated that there were 4 studs holding the tire on out of 5 studs, he said that the inspection has nothing to do with 1 stud being inoperable. He said if it were more than one, then it would have been a problem. After this unacceptable experience, we will be taking the Honda to Priority Toyota Chesapeake with the Tundra moving forward. read more

I have a 2021 vehicle that is not drive able. I am a very unhappy customer. I also found someone at the dealership service department has been resetting codes on my vehicle This dealership is awful you cannot get appointments and when you do it takes all day. We moved to the area in Fall 2020, we were looking for a used Honda as a commuter car, and were referred to Priority Honda through a military contact. We've bought used Hondas and Toyotas for over 10 years and never had such a horrific experience. We headed over and took a look at a used Honda Fit. It was in bad condition cosmetically but we saw past it since we take great care of our vehicles and had no issue with cleaning it up. We test drove the vehicle. It didn't run super well and had bad brakes, but went forward with the purchase as we trusted the salesman who said that it passed a full inspection and was safe to be on the road. We anticipated needing to spend some cash cleaning it up, doing some typical high mileage maintenance, etc. but we were so very wrong! In the first 3 months we spent an additional ~$3,500 to keep the car running. Here are a handful of issues we ran into during our experience with Priority that will give you an idea of the quality of service they offer - 1. Priority sold us a vehicle that was running on 3 of 4 cylinders ($881 repair). After purchase, I took it straight to their service center on the same lot. Their service center told me the 4th cylinder wasn't functioning and needed replacing. How can they knowingly sell a car that is running on 3 cylinders at full asking price? Sketchy. Their service center also told me the brakes were fine, when they were noticeably needing service. I took it to a different shop, who said the rotors needed replacing. They shared that whoever serviced it last put new brakes on bad rotors to cut corners ($464 repair). I'm unsure whether Priority did this to cut corners, but what I see a problem with is their inability to diagnose the rotor issue or admit there is an issue with one of their recently sold vehicles. Sketchy. 2. Priority kept the vehicle for a day after purchase telling me they wanted to detail the vehicle for us. I got the vehicle and they did not detail it. That afternoon, I spent 3 hours cleaning the car seats with my upholstery cleaner pulling what looked like blood or red soda out of 2 of the 5 seats. It was disgusting. I have never taken my car for a detail or even a quick cleaning and had it returned in this shape. I understand the car was dirty to begin with, however they could have paid anyone $20 to do a better job in an hour than whatever they did do (if anything). We kindly provided the feedback to the salesman. We would have appreciated an acknowledgement at the least, but he ignored us. We would have had a better experience if they had done nothing rather than telling us they detailed it and did not. 3. On day 2 or 3 the tire sensor light came on. After filling the tire a few times, we took it into a tire shop. The tire was leaking due to a poorly performed patch. It and one other tire needed replacement ($255 repair). Typical used car maintenance but these things add up. I'd have a problem if they were the ones who patched the tire. I guess I would prefer for them to do what is right. Or if they did patch it unsuccessfully, offer to cover the cost of the tire that needed replacing to salvage their customer experience. 4. Next the car wouldn't start. Turns out the alternator needed replacing ($620 repair). 5. Next the transmission light came on. I had it towed to a transmission shop. Turns out the transmission fluid hadn't been changed in so long that there was debris in it, which was causing issues within the transmission. This was a surprise to me because Priority Honda confirmed all fluids were in good shape and that I'd only need to follow typical high mileage service at the next 3,000-mile service date, nothing before ($714 repair). Why lie to save time or a few dollars Priority? You could have saved me hundreds of dollars if you were honest. 6. Other expenses that we expected went towards replacing four floor mats and one door panel. The car had oversized, aftermarket floor mats in it that didn't fit the car. The door panel was broken ($310.39). At the time of purchase we were fine paying Priority to replace these items because we trusted the car was in basic working order as they advised. On a couple different occasions, we reached out to the salesman thinking that Priority may do something, anything to make our experience better. First, with the detail issue, then with the cylinder issue, later with the transmission issue. What we got in response was, "You bought it as is, the best we can do is buy it back for what it is worth now" - nothing since it wasn't running. From our experience, this shop has terrible customer service, no attention to detail, they're untrustworthy, and have shady sales practices.
