I agree with the "Jack Ass Auto Repair" comment. Brought in my mom's car to get it checked and every time I would call in for an update he told me oh I will have a price for you on Monday after the electrician looks at it. Didn't tell me the price or anything for me to approve it. I did not consent to anything being done and then he expected me to take $245 to release the vehicle. I asked him for an itemized receipt and he couldn't even do that so he sat at his computer and typed up a receipt that still doesn't show an itemization of what was done. Was also telling me that the part for my car is on a national back order but at this point, I really don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. He actually confessed to never calling me or giving me a price and still is not giving me my mom's vehicle. Wants me to pay money even though he never asked for approval and give me a price for the guy he had come out. Yeah no. This guy is terrible. If you get him upset or confront him he gets very loud and starts throwing his arms around. Watch out. The way he speaks to women and raises his voice should tell you everything you need to know about him. read more

This is my 4th review and repair from Jacks! Quality work and Honest assessments!! My 2004 Chevy Express was having "major" vibration issues above 40mph(leading up to this, I also noticed I had a slow power steering fluid leak)! Jack's found that Rack & Pinion needed to be replaced. Additionally, the following items needed to be replaced: Ball Joint -Lower, Shock/Strut -Front/Rear, Tie Rod End, Upper Ctrl Arm, and Sway Bar Link! FYI I knew these items were in need of repair before Jack's told me. I was hoping these items would survive through the summer. overall $1400 in Parts, $1800 in total labor. I consider this a fair price especially after watching a youtube video on everything involved in the rack and pinion Removal/replacement. I recommend these folks. read more

Went in on Monday got a quote for a CV joint on a 2021 Chevy Silverado and it came out at $665, came back following Friday to get it fix it took about 3 hours wait and after everything is done the CV Joint was not the problem and the total cost was just a quarter of the original quote, Jack is a good dude, very pleasant experience talking about the old Navy. 74 Days $4049.72 in repairs paid and I still do not have my car back from Jacks auto Repairs: $4049.72 Monday 2/09/26 Dropped car off at Jacks to diagnose check engine light, shop said that the vehicle needs new engine. Wednesday 2/12/26 Paid $3000 deposit Friday 2/27/26 Picked up car after 2:30pm Drive car 2.2 miles from Jacks Auto to Home address, on the way home check engine light started flashing, brought car back - they put fuel injector cleaner in it and said "drive the hell out of it" Parked car - Moved car to grass and placed cardboard under vehicle to catch and track oil. Did not drive car. Monday 3/2/26 8:16 am stopped at Jacks Auto in another vehicle and showed photos of oil was told to drop car off. 2:42 pm brought car to Jacks Auto Tuesday 3/3/26 Picked car up from Jacks Auto drove 4.8 miles check engine light came on. Dropped the car off at Jacks and they said they replaced the plug and wire and it was good to go. Thursday 3/5/26 Check engine light flashing, dropped car off at Jacks. Tuesday 3/10/26 Went to the shop to find out what is going on with the car - was told the manager was fired, he was the owner, he would make it right my car was his first priority coming back. He said has taken the shop back - he had been trying to retire but he cant find good help, he cant even find technicians that can work without having their hands held even though he pays them better than other shops. He said he was calling an electrician to see what was going on with the car. Then I was told I needed ANOTHER new motor. I questioned HOW a new motor is bad and was told that it just happens sometimes. Monday 3/30/26 I was told the shop that they were going to make it right, they wanted happy customers so they were not going to charge me the labor again to replace the motor because the motor was under warranty but not the labor. What the shop did was textbook breach of contract. I paid for a working vehicle and never got one. The shop entered into a contract with me for a new motor and failed to deliver a vehicle that actually ran which is a breach of contract regardless of that the warranty says about labor. *Filed a complaint with the BBB *Filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office *** Virginia prohibits deceptive trade practices which include taking money for a repair that was never completed or completed incompetently (VA Code Section 59.1-200) Tuesday 4/14/26 Shop owner told me they are having a hard time getting a replacement motor, I could pick the car up and let me son drive it for a few weeks until a motor was found. I questioned if that was safe, and was told it was safe - there was no reason for me to continue to pay for a rental car for my son to drive - I found out through research and reaching out to other mechanics that it is not safe for my son to drive the vehicle with a cylinder 2 misfire. It can cause loss of power, acceleration, stalling, and shaking which could damage other parts of the vehicle or cause an accident. Friday 4/24/26 I still do not have my car back. 74 days ago I brought my car in for a PO302 code. 56 days since I was told the car was fixed and it still is not. Called the shop and was told I will have the car back 5/1 with a "low milage" engine in it. I told him that is not what I paid for, I was told that it was a good deal to replace the motor in a 2007 vehicle because i would get another 200,000 miles out of it. Should be called JACK ASS REPAIR SHOP JACK Worked on my car in June 2023 charged me $3000 for a junkyard motor and a bunch of work I didn't consent to and when I question all the extra charges he told me "it needed to be done" then immediately "knocked off" $700 6 months later and my motor is broke again. On top of that when I was there after giving him $3000 cash, he smacked my arm and told me to "get more sun" I've been calling his shop and it's either no one's available or their "digging for papers" they can never find cause their shops a hot mess. Definitely would not recommend to my worst enemy. He's shady as hell, won't even tell you where he gets his parts for your car from. read more

Absolute worst experience I've ever had with an auto shop. This shop is a disgrace to our military and our country. I had my vehicle brought in for the engine light, and they found that I had a blown head gasket about a week later. I had about a month from that first drop off until I was leaving for deployment. So, they called my warranty company, and Jack called me and told me that the warranty company said they would cover it all and all I had to do was pay the deposit. He asked permission to begin repairs and I said yes. I trusted he knew what he was doing. Well, fast forward to a week left until I had to leave for deployment and I still didn't have my car back and fixed. So I called and told them they needed to get my car back to me before deployment like they promised weeks ago. Friday (day before I leave for deployment) they call and tell me that the warranty company is refusing to pay because Jack never had an inspector come and approve the repairs, as well as never sent them pictures for approval for all the repairs. Now this is my last day home with my wife before being gone for 8 months. I ended up having to pay 1700 dollars off my credit (to get my car back) which is taking money out of my sick wife's ability to buy groceries. And I spent the whole day dealing with this garbage, and Jack wouldn't own up for a single second to his mistake. And I ended up having to pay for it. I am currently speaking to our legal department and looking into my legal options to sue. This was absolutely unacceptable and Jack and his shop should be held liable. read more

Drivers beware. My vehicle felt like the engine was misfiring. Even though I had literally just replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils, the garage suggested I have these parts replaced. After I spent over $400 to have the engine air filter changed and the fuel system cleaned, the problem still wasn't fixed. If you don't know what the problem is or don't know that much about cars, save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.
