She brought games and activities for my 7 year old daughter based on her interests, which I appreciated. The only thing that was a bit challenging is that we had to communicate with our babysitter via the Telegram app, which was new and different for me. I would have preferred WhatsApp or simple texting instead. So, if you complain about them, that's what you can expect. During the time that these people watched my children, I was not feeling well and pregnant. The housecleaning had fallen behind. They made me feel like a bad parent because the house wasn't tidy. In fact, they threatened me with child protective services. Imagine how that would make you feel as a parent. They never called child protective services because I take excellent care of my children. They threatened me with it. I think this behavior says a lot about who these people are. They are nice to your face and behave awful behind your back. Consider yourself warned. They really like themselves a lot. They keep saying to me that I specifically requested On Call Nanny to take care of my children. I just hadn't tried the other nanny services out there. I didn't know any better.

She was clearly experienced with nearly two decades of caring for children from newborn to teenage years and had an extremely "with it" socially aware and soothing demeanor that made me feel completely comfortable (this is very rare for me). Like the other reviewer, I was in and out of the house, and saw how she held my baby all day, nearly six hours, letting him sleep in her arms, as he often cries when put down and has trouble napping in any of his various sleeping spaces. She also washed all his bottles for the day, which was such a pleasant surprise, nay a gracious gift, which saved me and my tired shoulder so much time and stress! She chatted with my baby throughout and was very observant of his cues. She was a gifted baby whisper who actually got my baby to sleep and my baby was actually so happy after spending the day with her. Carina showed up a few minutes early to get the run down on how to best care for my kids. She immediately worked on getting my younger one to warm up to her and by the end of the shift my younger one was giving her tons of hugs and affection. While my husband and I were busy tag teaming and prepping meals for the kids before we head out, Carina did not need instructions and went right to caring and playing with my younger one. It was amazing to see how enthusiastic Carina was with her. Carina sang her songs, read to her, played Target shopping and cooking with her. Carina gave me lots of updates throughout the day and even helped tidy up the kids play area/toys and a few chores. I did not expect her to do any of those things but it was really nice to come home to less chores to do. Carina made sure my kids were well taken care of, from making sure they were hydrated, fed and changed. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect care taker for my kids. She provides a variety of healthy meals and snacks throughout the day, including milk for any little ones who require a pre-naptime bottle. Linda also has a great connection with the kiddos who she watches, so much so that our girls now call her "Nana". When we were looking around for a daycare provider for our girls, we were quite selective in deciding where to take them.
