I worked with Lieann and Billy to replace a small unit and install a new 3-ton system, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. They're professional, clear in their communication, and upfront about scheduling. Even though they were busy, they kept us informed and offered to move us up when a cancellation opened. The larger install was challenging because we wanted the unit mounted on a rock wall with the pipes running out from the bottom. The team had to drill through roughly 20 inches of lava rock, which isn't easy, but they handled it efficiently and cleanly. The end result looks great and works perfectly. Regrettably, Pristine Air Conditioning Corp wasn't my first call. The first place I called said, looks like you need to replace the whole unit ($6,500-$7,000 quote). We recently replaced our entire central air conditioning system and used Pristine Air Conditioning Corp. Billy Souza and his crew were amazing! They came in as scheduled and explained what they were going to do, by the end of the day they were done. The A/C was working when they left. Update: Billy made two service calls to our home due to the system shutting down because the safety switch (which was installed as a precaution) detected moisture in the existing drains which could have potentially created a leak. Billy decided to take the initiative and add an external drain to prevent this from happening again. Since he did this, the system is working perfectly! This is over the top service! We did not have to wait to have to be scheduled for an additional appointment, he did it on his own time because he did not want us to be without air conditioning and he asked that we text him the next morning to let him know if everything was still working. After 10 years my old central AC failed. The previous company I used for maintenance never mentioned anything about the severity of the rust on the old unit or the problems that could arise. I now had to research ac units, find a reputable company that was also recommended by the Hawai'i Energy website, and sort through multiple quotes which would fit in my budget. Pristine was one of the companies that I came across. They had excellent Yelp reviews and was one of the top rated companies on Hawai'i Energy. A quote was requested and Leiann made the process very easy. Billy came out and gave an in depth explanation of the work needed and recommendations for a unit. After all my research I decided to purchase a Trane unit. Leiann provided a quote which I felt was more than fair. Due to the large investment I was making, I asked for a second quote for the top of the line Trane unit. The second quote was of course higher, but I still felt it was a fair price for the unit I asked for. I went through many quotes from other businesses as well and most were in the same ballpark for comparable units. Some quotes I received were for basic units for a higher overall price than the top of the line Trane unit I was interested in. Pristine stood out due to Leiann providing the best service out of everyone to address my needs, concerns and choice of unit brand. I decided to give Pristine my business and the new unit was scheduled to be installed. The installation date was a while out but Billy and crew arrived on time. It was only a few hours before the old unit was removed and the new unit was installed. It's been over a week and the new unit functions exceptionally well. Leiann was with me all the way to explain everything and answer any of the numerous questions I had. A Mitsubishi MSY-GL09NA split air was installed July 13, 2016. I did the cutout and drywall work before hand. That unit failed last week and I decided to replace it with a new larger Mitsubishi GS12NA. When removing the existing Pristine installed unit, I discovered the following: 1. The installer was LAZY and cut corners. While the studs were narrower than the unit, the unit was NOT anchored at all into the drywall, which is standard installation for a wall unit. From time to time, the unit would rattle on the wall. 2. For years, during the night we kept hearing dripping. Today I saw that the outside drain pipe was left dripping directly on my exterior wood baseboard!! A simple short pvc extension would have solved that drip from rotting my baseboard. Oh so, lazy. Even house painters commented that the drain pipe had not been properly completed. Great product. Lazy, lousy installer. What happened to trustworthy service? read more

It's been years since we had our split systems cleaned. It was looking pretty bad and it got to the point where the better half said she thinks it is starting to smell funky. My friend highly recommended Pristine Air Conditioning to do the cleaning. We gave them a call but they were booked out for a month. I was disappointed as I knew what the better half would say. I think Brandi could sense that and she said she could possibly squeeze us in two weeks rather than over a month. She was very pleasant and had great communication skills which was greatly appreciated. Fast forward two weeks, Mike the technician came and inspected our systems. He was hesitant because of the age of the split systems as they do not make R22 units anymore. We talked about it and Mike said ok let's do it. I saw him taking it apart and taking the parts outside to clean them. He then came inside to tackle the dirty evaporator. He put plastic all around to catch the dirty water (there was lots of dirty water). When I came back to check on him, he finished putting the unit back together and was cleaning up. It looked amazing. I wish I had a before picture to show how dirty it was but then again you might faint and we wouldn't want that would we?!?!?! The better half couldn't stop looking at it as she was in awe. She said it even smells clean. Happy wife, happy life. Mike also gave us suggestions if we ever wanted or needed to upgrade to the newer more efficient split systems. The following day, Brandi called to see how everything went. She found out that we qualify for a discount and applied it. She sent the invoice over email and gave the option of paying by phone or online. I was already in the online portal so I paid that way. We finally decided to replace our failing window ACs which were really not keeping the house cool anymore. We called a few companies and had them come out for quotes. The first 2 companies took a while as they measured each room and did their calculations. One company was at our house for 2 hours...yes, 2 hours calculating different configurations and energy costs. Pristine was the last company we called. Billy came out right away and as other reviews stated, he blazed through the house and had pretty much planned out our entire system by the time he finished touring the house. He even thought about how to configure the systems so that we'd have minimal conduits running around the outside of the house. The configurations from the other companies had them running conduits across the length of some walls and through storage spaces. In the end, the system Billy planned out was the best one, even though he spent the least amount of time actually at the house. He really knows his stuff. Because of the way our house is configured, we had to install 3 systems. As in 3 full systems, not three indoor units. So it wasn't just a slam dunk. On top of having the best configuration, their quote was cheaper than the other companies by a significant amount. I had to double-check the prices because the other two companies' quotes were nearly the same so I was wondering if Pristine had left something off. Nope. Pristine had similar number/size of units as the other 2. Just in a better configuration. So we opted for Pristine. They worked quickly to schedule our install even though we had to reschedule once and they were able to get us an appointment just before our houseguests were scheduled to arrive. On the day of the installation, they came on time. Billy was part of our installation team so again, he was very deliberate in the placement of each unit to reduce the amount of conduit and bends (both for functioning efficiency and aesthetics). Plus he's a really nice guy. They finished early and did not even have to turn off our electricity and disrupt my working day. I was dreading all the headache of all the paperwork I had to file surprisingly their admin had the correct paperwork and credentials sent in no time I was so blown away on how easy and painless that was. When it came to the consultation Billy was very honest and straight forward seemed super knowledgeable and passionate about his products. I had names of 2 companies that installed air conditioners in our condo. I called Pristine and they came to check within a week, sent me a quote quickly.
