We finally decided to update our yard to a more drought tolerant as well as more attractive landscape last summer. Our tired and thirsty lawn was no longer attractive so it was time for a change. We solicited multiple bids and ultimately chose Pristine Gardenscape because they were competitive and we were impressed with the responsiveness of their rep, Yair to our questions and concerns. The work took slightly longer than they estimated (by a couple of days) but we are aware that they encountered a lot of unexpected tree roots which they needed to remove to ensure a positive outcome on our project. Despite the additional days needed to complete the project, Pristine honored their original quote. Benny was the crew leader and he and Cornelio were very hard working, conscientious, friendly and neat. They arrived each day between 7:30 and 8:00 and usually were finishing up before 4:00 with just a short break for lunch (which they brought with them). Since it has been close to 6 months since the job was completed, we thought it would be appropriate to leave a review now since it has "weathered" well (with one main exception) and we remain very happy with the end result. The DG paths which we added do not have holes or channels in them from all the rain, the areas with rocks and bark do not have weeds sprouting through and most of the plants have survived. The primary exception has to do with our Strawberry Tree, which is a focal point in our front yard. Pristine planted it but it didn't fare well with the excessive summer heat and ultimately died despite our efforts to monitor the watering per their recommended schedule, put up umbrellas, to shield it from the sun, etc. I spoke with Yair about this disappointing result in late 2022 and he assured me that they would replace the tree this spring and also add some additional safeguards such as pvc pipe to ensure water reaches the root ball. We were very pleased to hear they are willing to stand behind their product. That is definitely something that speaks well for this outfit and we look forward to displaying photos of the finished product which includes a healthy tree. read more

I chose Pristine over 3 other contractors because they were the only one who listened to what I wanted and executed my vision with perfection. We had them do the front yard of a corner lot. The side yard had a fairly steep slope that is now adorned with 3 Angeles block planters and a whole lot of plants and ground cover. The best thing is that I no longer have to mow that side hill. Benny was our foreman and the man is a sprinkler genius. Both Yair and Emma helped in getting the right plants and lawn to create a yard that has my neighbors stopping by to admire a job well done. Yair, Pristine Gardenscape, and their crew are great and I would hire them again anytime. Our story with them is this. Last November, we bought a house outside of L.A. and SoCal, then moved in December. We consulted with Yair, explained that we needed to fix up the landscaping front and back to sell our L.A. house, and that we wanted to do what was necessary with irrigation and plants, but since we were going to sell, we did not want to spend too much money. Yair understood our needs and gave us a very reasonable, workable bid that we accepted. Since we had moved already, the realtor was supervising his own remodel crew, painters, etc., while Yair and his crew were working on the landscaping component. Pristine was amazing -- they did what they promised, as promised, and took care of issues as they arose, all honestly and at reasonable prices. Their communication was excellent -- even though we were out of town, and had said goodbye to L.A., Yair did not not take advantage but instead worked cooperatively with the realtor and his people to make our house ready for market. Then, when an issue arose (the heavy rains plugged up the firepit gas line in the back yard) he came out and fixed it immediately, adding a cover for the firepit in case such epic rains occurred again. In short, Yair and Pristine were honest, highly capable and competent, helped us to sell our house after we moved, and even though we were far away, they took great care of us. Very pleased with the beautiful job they did on a very large section of my property. Installed sprinklers and 8 stations in front and then another 4 in back with a new gravel driveway with edging and gorgeous front fountain. We had to build a small wall in the front yard to keep the dirt from flowing on the sidewalk. After interviewing other companies, we chose Pristine Gardenscape. This company did an excellent job, showed up on time, finished the wall early. Yair communicated with us at every step: choosing the perfect of stone, putting in a French drain and weed barrier (which the other companies didn't even mention). Cleanup was great. And so was his price. His design was great-- neighbors have been complimentary since the wall was finished.
