What a nightmare. Their new employee was crazy with the skid steer, destroying my septic tank cover, breaking 2 large sections of the driveway, gouging my red oak tree, busting 3 sprinkler lines, and scraping 3" of old soil, only to replace it with 1/2" of topsoil, so now I have a sunken yard. It's taken more than 2 months to get everything done, and it still isn't working right. The control box in front was not properly installed, so now I have a heavy leak, and was told I would have to pay extra for them to fix it. Ha! You think I'd ever call them again? Update 9/14/24: I reported this company to BBB and then the owner Josh started contacting me again. THIS WEEK 9/10 He finally brought out more sod. However, he did NOT bring enough to replace all the dead original sod he installed. Also, he did NOT fix the poor ground prep in a large are by my fence gate that his crew did NOT prep originally and left the flag stones and decomposed granite in ground. His crew on 9/10 laid new sod over this area & over flagstones again. He was contracted to clean this area up and prep for new sod removing decomposed granite & flagstones & Josh did NOT both times! So this new sod will die unless me the customer digs it all out and relays the sod. His crew cut more off my front trees that did NOT need it. There were contracted to cut the back trees. None of the crew in 9/10 spoke English at all & did not understand me. Josh did NOT show up as usual to suppervise or send any crew leaders to make sure the work was done correctly. JOSH HAS NO CONCERN TO DO A JOB CORRECTLY OR AS CONTRACTED So tree cutting in backyard was still NOT done per contract Texas Sage bush was still NOT dug up and moved per contract Front gutters are still crooked. Not fixed at all. JOSH REFUSES TO FIX IT Josh refused to make the wobbly fence stable by adding more post and refused to add a 3rd gate hinge. He did fix 1 of the boards on the lattice at the top but we had to fix the other 2 that were coming off. JOSH REFUSES TO FIX THE FENCE TO MAKE IT STABLE OR WORTH $18k he charged for it The fence subcontractor told me Josh was to pay him $5k for the fence build NOT $18k (not sure if Josh paid him or not) that is why the fence guy refused to fix anything on my game, he told me you got $5k fence and that's all he is doing. JOSH IS DISHONEST AND DOES CRAPY WORK. HE DEMANDS PAYMENT UP FRONT TO SCHEDULE, then more UPFRONT BEFORE HE STARTS WORK & PAYMENT EVERY WEEK BEFORE WORK IS COMPLETED. He will hold off on the last few thousand knowing he has already scammed you out of your money & not done quality work. He will keep saying he is showing up to fix work not done correctly, he will say materials are delayed, his crew manager Chris will tell you he is in the hospital when he is not just to delay you and push you off. Then they will block you. So do NOT do business with this company. Look him up because he has 3 different companies and all run this way If you have a contract with his company make sure you don't pay up front like he demands. He does not pay for any supplies up front. He makes his subcontractors pay for all their supplies and doesn't pay them until afterwards. If he even pays them at all. 2 subcontractors were not paid on my Reno and came to my door asking for payment since Josh & Chris refused to pay them and blocked their calls also. With my help pushing back on this company and reporting them to BBB these 2 hard working subcontractors reported to me this week they were finally paid on 9/10 the same day Josh came out with sod & same day Josh reported to BBB all subcontractors were paid in full. These 2 subcontractors jobs were done 30 days ago SO THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAID THEN! Josh has also NOT shown up to do a final walk through inspecting the work with me the customer as port. He is just demanding I pay final bill (which has not been sent) plus daily late fees. This guy is a jock and a SCAMMER . He won't show his face or take your calls. Had these guys come out and put stone borders around our flowerbeds, replace two trees and add some shrubs to the flowerbed. Also added a pad for the trashcans. The stone borders look nice. They did chisel all of the stone in the front lawn and just left all of the broken stone there. They also disassembled one of the gutters to complete the borders and lost the screw, so never put the gutter back after complete. When pulling up the trees, bushes and working in the flower beds, they cut multiple drip lines and didn't say anything; just covered them all and left. I only found out after I ran the system and had multiple floods. They came back to repair some of the obvious ones but they didn't dig up or check any of the lines that I couldn't see and point out or dug up myself already. One of these follow ups, they texted and said that they were here and knocking but no one is home. Meanwhile we're here and have a doorbell camera... No one even attempted to knock. I had to go outside and catch them before they just left. Since we still had flooding, we ended up having an irrigation company just come and repair the broken lines... The concrete pad that was added for the trash cans gets the job done but is very sloppy looking. I'm not a fan of them charging us for the job completion without talking to us or testing any of the irrigation... What a nice surprise to see the charge with broken irrigation, no trash pad and having to call to make sure they are going to actually finish the work. All in all. If you're just getting trees and stone work, then not bad. Since Yelp doesn't seems to have a Reply... Yes like I said in the review... You came back and fixed the ones that I dug up... There are two lines buried deep in the driveway bed still flooding. It's absolutely NOT my job to dig up the lines to find out where they are broken. They should not have been buried while broken that's ridiculous. No you guys did not knock... We have a doorbell camera dude and both worked from home while the work was being done. Who are you trying to lie to?? The day we got charged for the job being done no one said shit to us. They just left. We walk out to a messy yard, no trash pad and broken fucking lines with no testing. Give me a break. Yeah your guys pulled the gutter out of the wall while working, haha. We heard it happen while they were up there but whatever on that. Yes the pictures are highlighting some of the issues that came up. Seeing some black mulch on top isn't going to change anything. My family chose to go with this company based on the reviews we saw on Facebook. Our project idea & execution grew just a bit during the process. They were very accommodating to that and that was a plus. Unfortunately on many areas surrounding the patio concrete pour we felt that the work was not very well tailored/polished. This means concrete was poured but wasn't cleaned up. There wasn't enough concrete initially leaving a final project with distinct colors on a patio. Edges remained rough and unfinished leaving at a very unpolished look. They never chiseled the sides where concrete came through the frame. I'm not sure if pouring a concrete patio is their forte, but had it not been for that I would've given them a 5/5 stars. Perhaps they bit off more than they could chew. They did a very good job placing the French drains but when it came to the sprinkler heads I was a bit surprised they buried them under the tarp and rocks. The absolute worst most unprofessional landscape crew I ever had to deal with. Nothing was done according to how I wanted the work to be done when I originally discussed what I wanted with Josh. No communication from Josh to his crew, his crew were clueless on what needed to be done. I basically had to lead the crew to get them to do what I wanted. I have a very small front and back yard, I requested a mow and to weed eat down the front 2 small flower beds along with the back one and trimming up the front bushes, pulling a dead bush out of the backyard, and to haul away a 4-6 piece plastic/Rubbermaid shed that collapsed from a hail storm. I was quoted $900. When I said that was basically outrageous, the price changed to $750 without hauling the shed off... then I was told for the mow and to remove the dead bush it would be $110. I assumed the front two flower beds would get weed eated down since the back one was... Josh told me no, that wasn't included in the quote... (but the back one was?!?!). Josh was very arrogant when he spoke to me and in our communication before and after services. I specifically asked for the office number so I could save into my phone so I wouldn't miss their call (to collect my payment) as I work nights... I never received a call... he messaged me saying they had been trying to call me and I needed to give him my card information... very rude and unprofessional! My normal lawn folks couldn't work me in, as this was for a move out mow... I needed someone ASAP and I wish I had looked around further. If you need a great team... go with Lawn Man- owner John Polito! His crew is amazing, quick, and only charged me $28 bucks every two weeks!
