I called this company two separate times and left messages both times along with my phone number. They never did return my messages. We need numerous windows replaced for my house located in the North Dallas area. Terrible customer service as they won't return calls to someone trying to give them business!! Was thinking what would have happened if did have them install the windows and then had some type of problem with them. Can bet it would be difficult to get them back out to correct the problem if they won't even call you back when you are trying to put money in their pocket. read more

The customer service and personal touch of Southern Pride made the decision easy. He installed my windows a couple of years ago - they are beautiful and made a huge difference in the comfort of my home and my electric bill. Today Tom came out to fix a leaky window and a torn screen. Well, the leaky window was an operator error (how embarrassing!). He re-screened the screen and put it back on. Our house is 13 years old and had one window we could barely see through due to a broken seal (already replaced once) and several windows that were either difficult to open or would not stay open due to hardware that was no longer functioning well. I initially started looking into replacing just a few windows. A co-worker and friend had recently replaced all of the windows in her home through one of the big-box stores and had some "issues" that prompted me to really research replacing even one window. Anyway, I stumbled upon Southern Pride Openings as one of my options and found their reviews to be highly favorable sooooo, I gave them a call. One of their employees, Shannon, came to the house and took preliminary measurements, showed me the window products, and gave me a quote on the spot for over 30 windows. Needless to say, I was so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, patience with my questions, and non-pushy sales tactics, that after he left I got on-line, searched for product reviews on the windows, liked what I saw, and called Southern Pride Openings the same day and gave them our business. From start to finish everything was awesome. One of the owners, Tom, then came out and took PRECISE measurements and actually made a recommendation for transom windows in our breakfast nook that sounded very appealing (and turned out to be JUST what that area needed)! The actual installation of the windows went VERY well. Again, professional installers with a very exacting nature for proper installation. Also very, very honest and trustworthy. When Anthony encountered a construction "faux pas" from when the house was built, he pointed it out to us and let us know how it affected the installation process. Thankfully there were no huge issues with the original construction but it was still nice to see the crew installing our new investment with integrity and pride in their work. Southern Pride is a great company that offers great products. Once I researched top door manufacturers and knew I wanted the best, I found SP through the Provia Door Company website. Further research showed SP to be a really great company to work with, so I decided to go with them. SP was very thorough in going through all the options for the entry door and provided advice on the type of storm door I should get given the abundant amount of sun that hits our front entry way. My only niggle would be that it took 6 weeks for them to get the doors and another few weeks before they could install them, but this time period covered the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years holidays. It wasn't an issue for us, however, and it was well worth the wait. The entry door is beautiful and I can't say enough good things about the installer, Justin. He was extremely meticulous throughout the whole process, adding insulation where there was none with the old door and doing an amazing job with all the caulking, including when to use clear vs. white caulking. I notice little things like that, and found both the entry/storm door and the installation to be perfect. That's why I took the plunge in buying what was supposed to be a top notch door from a top notch company. You never know if that's what you are actually going to get until it happens.
