I've shopped here once before when I first got into Mauy Thai and the younger guy was super helpful. I walked in today to see if I can find a pair of 12 ounce gloves under the $100 budget I mentioned. I talked to an older guy with a mustache and glasses and he tells me they only have gloves that are $150 and over. I tell him sorry I can't do that. He sees that I'm about to leave so he shows me some gloves that are $100 "on sale" that are gold and silver. I tell him that I'm not interested in the sparkling colors for that price. Finally, he shows me a black pair of 12 ounce gloves for $80 and charges me $98. Last time I remember taxes were 10%? Anyways, I feel ripped off and I won't be coming back. More expensive than Amazon. Less quality than Amazon. Crappy customer service. Spend your money somewhere else. Have spent a good amount of money here...bought two pairs of Rival bag gloves, a standing heavy bag , focus mitts, and plenty of other odds and ends...easily $1000. Their prices are much higher than what you'd pay for better equipment on Amazon, but the convenience has been worth it, I guess. Done spending money here, though. Bought a pair of generic Muay Thai shinguards that literally came apart as I was PUTTING THEM ON the first time I used them. I paid $50 for them (which, to my point above, was way too much) so I figured that wasn't really the way they should hold up. I brought them back and asked for store credit, as I'd already bought a pair of Top Kings (for just a little more than these crappy ones). Wasn't asking for my money back...just the ability to get something other than these guards. The guy told me no, but he would send mine back to the factory and have them repaired and I would have them back "by tomorrow." Took my number and everything. I wasn't happy about it, but didn't want to make a scene. That was last Friday. It's now Thursday, so a week later, and I hadn't even received a call. Just walked in there and the same guy told me they were still "at the warehouse" but if I wanted he'd give me a new pair of the same crappy guards. Again, I asked for store credit instead and was told that wasn't possible, which makes NO sense since you're giving me a brand new pair of something else... Not worth fighting over so I left with my new shitty shin guards, and the rest of the money I'll never spend here again. If you're gonna be more expensive, have better service. If you can't do that, what's the point of helping you stay in business? read more

Horrible service, high prices, lying about warranty and quality, and just flat-out shady business mannerisms. The people who work here are a bunch of douche-bags. There's the young guy. He's an arrogant jerk and acts like all customers are stupid if they don't buy from their store. There's also an older guy with white hair who acts like you're disturbing him because you asked to see a pair of gloves in another color. He won't even make the effort to look, he'll just say, "that's the only color we have!" He might go over and look if you ask him a second time, but he won't do it without acting like it's overtime labor. There's also a middle-age guy who will try to bargain and sell you house-branded gear that is not very good at all. Their pricing is clever. It's way over-priced for name-brand gear that everyone likes. Their house-branded gear however is priced very cheaply in hopes that you'll buy their house-branded gear so they make a higher profit margin. They're the manufacturers of the "PRO" brand so keep in mind that whatever price they give you, you can EASILY haggle 30% off the first price. TRUST ME. I've been here enough times over the past few years. Most of the PRO-branded sucks except for the punching bags. Their punch gloves go flat very quickly over minimal use. Don't believe what the salesperson will tell you! Every now and then, I've seen people get slightly better service because they ran into the shop with their wallet open and bills about to fall-out and said, "I have a competition today and need boxing gear PRONTO!" I go here because I like to checkout the gear in person and then buy it online for cheaper. Other times I'll buy small items from here for the convenience. Shop here if you must, but keep yourself on guard. Prepare for an absolutely scathing review. I do not appreciate being treated as a fool. Let me just say that I went into this store knowing about the low yelp reviews but still went in with an open mind. I went here (against the advice of my friends) to pick up some gloves. I was looking at Rival Pro Sparring gloves. These specifically (http://proboxingsupplies.com/rival_high_performance_lace_up_pro_sparring_gloves__long_cuff-p-455.html?pcat_id=115). You'll notice on their website they're listed as $129.99, which is how much they cost on the rival website for the Canadian dollar. You'll find they're normally $99 stateside. I ask for these specifically in 18 oz., he hands me a pair of 14oz and tells me these are all they have. There are tons of rival gloves lying around the store and on the shelves. I ask if they had anything bigger in a 16 or 18oz size. Without even checking, he says no. He then gets me to try some Reyes gloves. I think nothing of it, knowing that they're world class gloves. I let him know I don't enjoy them. He then tries to get me in the Pro Boxing gloves they have. I try them on, it takes around 15 minutes just to get them on. I have a big fist, they clearly don't fit, but he's still trying to push them on me. After about being ready to leave the store, he pulls down one of the three other red rival gloves off the wall saying he JUST found them. Fine, I didn't want to wait for shipping. I'm willing to buy these on the spot. I purchase them and head out. As i'm a few miles away and I check the receipt. He rung these out at $175, and after reluctantly agreeing to discount them 15% off for the Check-In Yelp promotion, ended up ringing me out at $153. I thought it was strange that he didn't scan any barcodes or look up product prices. After taking 15 minutes to get back to the store I pull up all the information on my phone. Product price listed on their site. How much he charged me. Reclarifying the 15% off, etc. He looks at me incredulously and before even checking the gloves and says that they're synthetic. That the ones on the website are a different model. I point out that on their website they are labeled as part number RS1, which is the same exact thing printed on the gloves. After double and triple checking, he finally decides to refund me the difference. He didn't even calculate things out on his register. I ended up doing the math on my smart phone. I don't appreciate being made to do the extra work to make sure my purchase goes through properly the SECOND time around after they clearly tried to play me as a fool and overcharge me. He sheepishly apologizes after being called out on their bad business practices stating "Sorry, prices always change. It's hard to keep up." One, isn't it your job to know the prices or at least check? Two, these gloves have NEVER, EVER been even close to the list price of what he originally intended on charging me at $175. Overall REALLY bad experience. I thought to myself, it can't be that bad. I see the reviews but I've also seen their bags on HBO and ShoTime training videos like for PacBradley2. Their gloves are bad and their service is worse. Don't come here unless you like being parted from your money at unfair prices. Super unprofessional. They'll assume you're a chump. I also don't appreciate how they comment on the negative reviews saying they send them a private message about how they can make things right. Anything they have to say to save face should be made public. I won't recant my review or change my statement. TL:DR STAY AWAY. read more

Pro boxing has been supplying my gym for years. I buy over 400 pairs of gloves, wraps & jump ropes per year with these guys. I have over 40 of their heavy bags and many dozens of pairs of thai pads and focus mitts. Their house brands are VERY LONG LASTING. Their prices are absolutely competitive given the quality. Yes you can buy cheaper, but it's generally low quality junk that won't last. I understand that some have a hard time with the service. They clearly operate a little differently than a lot of businesses and their favorite sales phrase is, "What else?". They are a quirky lot, but take a moment to speak with them. By and large they are very nice guys and they will get you what you need. The long and short of it, solid selection, quality from ranging from ok to excellent and prices that are fair. About 4 1/2 years ago I bought two heavy bags from Pro Boxing Supplies and they are still the best bags that I have hit. I bought a 200 lb and 100 lb heavy bag. There is no sand filling, no hard bottoms, and no dead zones in the bags. You get the right amount of thud when you hit their bags. Excellent product.
