I was searching for a good used car online for a few weeks via Craig's List and used car dealerships. (I even made the mistake of going to the Santa Monica Subaru car dealership where I had an awful experience being subjected for several hours to old school sales techniques. I couldn't run away from there fast enough.) Coming off of that experience, I was feeling a little gun-shy about car dealerships in general. Nonetheless, I continued to plug away on Craig's List swearing to deal only with private parties. It was in this latest pursuit that I discovered Pro Car Buyers who had listed a car I was interested in buying. Still licking my wounds, I telephoned Pro Car Buyers and spoke to one of the owners, Shadi (pronounced "Shah-dee"). Shadi was friendly and did not have a pushy sales vibe at all. I explained that driving to Pro Car Buyers in Gardena from West Los Angeles might not be possible for me during the work week and Shadi said he could drive the car to me -- this was impressive. Shadi went on to tell me that before driving the car to me he first wanted me to know a few things about the car in order that "neither of us wasted the other's time" -- he went on to tell me that the sunroof did not open -- the motor worked, but the cable was broken, and the car antenna no longer went up and down automatically. I thought he was kidding at first?!! His honesty and straightforwardness really impressed me. I telephoned Pro Car Buyers later that day to find out how late they were open as I was definitely feeling good about the vibe and energy of this particular car dealership. Shadi's brother, Ziad (pronounced "Zee-awd"), answered the phone this time and he was just as warm and nice as his brother had been. I definitely got the feeling I could trust these guys. Long story a bit shorter ... my overall experience with Ziad and Shadi is that they go the extra mile for you. There is no pushy car salesmen techniques or energy at all. Both brothers are very laid back. Shadi runs the mechanics side of the operation. Ziad handles the finance side and has extensive experience and knowledge with the financing side of car sales and his expertise really shines in his assisting the consumer to find the best deal. (Ziad's enthusiasm about the car business was very enjoyable and made the transaction all that more fun.) Ziad explained the ins and outs of the car business as we moved forward in the transaction and also was an open book as far as financing options that would work best for us -- he didn't hide anything and put all our options on the table, even advising against the first deal we wanted to get into because it was not prudent financially. If you are looking for a good used car from a trustworthy source and don't want to be hasseled with the old school salesman techniques or pressure, you should definitely call Pro Car Buyers. If they do not have a car you desire in their inventory, just let them know what you are looking for and they will try and find the car you desire and get you the best deal. My wife and I both drive cars from PCB. We could not be happier with the service and knowledge of the family run business. I have several friends who have taken a car in to be inspected by their mechanic. They are so honest and saved my friends a lot of money because the repairs that were recommended by the dealership were either unnecessary or they could just do the job for a whole lot less money. In fact, they saved me thousands of dollars when when they worked on my Jaguar. And they really got in running so smooth. Gardena isn't the most convenient when you live in OC, but it is definitely worth the tiny drive to get my car serviced there because I can be 100% confident that I am not going to be shammed or have some shoddy work done. Now that I think of it, the drive takes no time when you shoot right up the 405. It is kind of crazy, but you can realistically buy a very nice luxury car drive it for two or three years, and sell it for not much less than what you paid from PCB. When you calculate the cost of ownership for a really nice BMW or whatever other car, it would be ridiculous to buy a new civic or corrolla and buy several times more for the cost of ownership over the same period. Not that those aren't reliable cars, but I am just saying, once you drive a BMW or other Euro luxury car, you know why people pay the money for these cars. But for those of us without big pockets, we can also drive nice cars too. Everyone always thinks my wife and I have a lot of money b/c of the cars we drive. That is definitely not the case. PCB hooked it up. Oh, and one more thing- back to the honesty- My brother was looking to get a car and they were really honest in saying they couldn't beat the price of this particular car from another dealership. Too honest if you ask me. Couldn't they have tried to get him into something else?. Anyway, they lost a sale because they were so honest. In a nutshell- KNOWLEDGEABLE, RELIABLE, HONEST. This is what car buying should be like. I had gone to a few used car lots before heading here. The cars at the other lots were neglected, overpriced, and the pushy salespeople were trying to convince me that my criteria were too high... that I was expecting too much. Not here. They had a 2005 Acura TL 6 speed posted online that looked pretty clean, so I went to check it out. It was exactly as advertised. Solid car with normal wear and tear for the miles. There were a few things here and there on the car that could use attention, but those were cosmetic. The only issue was that the tires were a little worn. I sat down with Nathan and Hussam, and gave 2 reasonable offers. One "as-is", and one with them putting new tires on. They considered their options and came back with a reasonable counteroffer, and that was it! Very straightforward, very upfront and honest. I drove the car home, and couldn't be happier. I've driven it through the first tank of gas without any issues. I read a negative review here, where someone bought a "lemon", and that persons experience is unfortunate. However, based on my experience I have nothing but good things to say. I highly recommend that you give these guys a look the next time you are looking for a car. I also encourage anyone shopping for a car to be very thorough and methodical in their inspection process. If you don't know much about cars, find someone who does, and bring them along. Most car guys (and gals) will be happy to poke around if you ask nicely, and offer to buy them lunch. read more

About 5 months ago, I bought a 2006 BMW 225 i. The car was and still is in awesome condition. BUT!!! 3 days after I bought it, there was a coolant leak showing on the dash board. I called Pro Car and told them about it. They said I should bring the car in to be looked at. The part was replaced at no cost to me although I bought the car AS IS. I am sure it's not always the case... but I will go back every time to purchase a used car from these guys. They have a shop in the dealership and service all the cars before they resell. They make used car like new. This is my second car from them. The first one was a MINI Cooper and I turned it back in to them after a few months. I prefer the BMW experience of driving. I was searching for an affordable car thats sporty and would run a long time, I never found that until I saw an 01 BMW 330i online located at ProCarBuyers. I made the drive from West LA all the way out to Gardena to check it out and quickly realized that it was the car for me. The car already had two iPod cables built in, the leather was still in good condition, and the car looked great on the outside. The car was well over 150k miles and it still runs great in 2014(purchased in late 2011). The staff there is great all around and they are the nicest people you will meet in the car business.
