The woman who works there is very good but be aware of their pricing - if you have a higher end shirt like a Zegna, they won't launder it (~$3.75) but will insist on dry cleaning which costs more than double. Fair enough ... but then they add another charge b/c it's a premium shirt which puts it up to about $12. They say it's b/c of "special handling," but it seems like they're making shit up to charge you more for the same services. That feels dishonest & good enough reason to try elsewhere. read more

Convinelty located in the Solana Beach shopping plaza next to Sprouts. The staff is nice and friendly. The clothes always been done on time and turn around is only 2 days. You don't need to worry if you loose your claim ticket, everything is recorded using the phone number given. Dress shirt laundry is $2.50 (if I'm not mistaken), which is a great deal for the area. Ive been going to them for a few years now and I recently brought in a coupon at pick up and the lady at Solana Beach was so unkind and rude and disrespectful about the coupon needing to be brought in at drop off. She had a horrible attitude with me. Not once did she try to express understanding for my point of view or show any compassion. Very disappointed in the customer service. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I came in early Monday to get my suit and girlfriends dress dry cleaned before taking off for a wedding. I showed up on Wednesday the day for pickup and the dress had a giant stain on it. They said they want to try a few more times to get it out but never bothered to call and say anything about the stain. Sadly, this place changed. You can't depend on the many 5-star reviews from a few years ago--it's a different place now. I was a loyal customer for almost a decade and quite happy with the service and the folks who worked here. But in my last visit the manager actually dared me to Yelp about my experience, so here goes . . . Their prices have been going up for a while. That's fair--everything's been getting more expensive and they lost a lot of business during Covid. So they've raised their prices to make up for it. I never complained. But when I just picked up a small order of 3 laundered shirts, I was surprised that it was so expensive. It turns out that one of my shirts had an additional charge for "extra handling." I didn't ask for anything special and they've laundered this same shirt for the regular price (around $3) many times in the past, so I asked why the extra charge this time? The woman who's always there told me it was a special shirt, although she couldn't explain why and it's never been special before. I think I paid around $25 for it--so not so special! I asked if she could just charge me the usual price and she started yelling at me and threatened to hold my clothes hostage unless I paid up. This is after almost 10 years as a regular customer! I had to get change at Sprouts next door to pay her the exact amount I should owe, which was a huge waste of time. I told her I'm not a big poster on Yelp but I thought others should know about this. She told me she'd trash me (I'm not sure how, but I guess I'll find out?) and dared me to tell this tale. So . . . Anyway, I still give the place 2 stars because the shirts did come out fine, even if all the drama was totally unnecessary. read more

Been going here for years. Always friendly staff. Will go out of their way if I need an emergency alteration. The owner does the alterations and will do anything from my business suits to my daughters baby blanket that got torn. Very convenient location next to Supercuts and Sprouts. So I was a customer for a while when I lived in San Diego for 3 years a couple of years ago. Dry cleaning is always a tough thing - I always thought all dry cleaning was expensive and unreliable. I started to just avoid clothes that needed to be dry cleaned, but this place changed my mind. This place is affordable and accommodating. I bought my wedding dress online from a resale marketplace by a woman who'd worn it at her outdoor wedding (in sandals) and didn't have time to clean the dress before selling it to me. There were some visible stains when I got it so I was definitely nervous at what I might've gotten myself into. I also didn't want to spend too much on the cleaning, so at the recommendation of a local friend (I live in SF but am getting married in the area), I took it to Martinizing dry cleaners and they worked their magic! All the stains were gone and the dress looks crisp and **new**! The woman that took the dress was very friendly and listened to my concerns about getting it clean. The price was also very reasonable (other places tend to upcharge anything related to a wedding) so I would highly recommend - for wedding dresses or other clothes! I'll definitely be bringing mine back to get cleaned afterward too. read more

I don't know about the cleaning service, but they also do alterations. I brought them two trousers, exactly the same model in different colors, and they made one of them much shorter than the other one. I complained about it and they had to add a piece of fabric at the bottom because they had already cut the fabric. At least they sincerely apologized, and they didn't charge me anything. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this place. I have been going here for a year and they always have my clothes cleaned and done on time. I can think of just 1 instance where a stain on my pants was not fully removed but they immediately took it back and fixed the situation. No different than any other dry cleaner I've gone to. I would say give them a shot and see for yourself. I have only had good experiences and have been greeted by friendly professionals. Avoid this place like the plague! I brought in a beautiful chiffon evening gown to have dry cleaned. When I got it back, the once beautiful fabric had little tears and balls all over it. When I asked her what happened, the clerk said it was normal wear and tear. Sorry but I had only worn the dress TWICE, one was to a wedding and the second was to an Easter Gala. I also noticed that some of the rhinestones fell off of the necklace part of the dress!! The once gorgeous $300 dress was ruined. The offered NO money back. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Martinizing is now my go-to cleaner. I have a cycle of ~10 button downs I wear to work, that, through regular wear, had become discolored in the collars. The older woman I spoke to assured me they'd be able to restore the collars to near their original color and she wasn't lying! OK for shirts (laundry), though I pre-wash everything to make sure the neck/pits get addressed properly. They ruin flat-front pants however, putting creases in everything even if told not to, and the pants don't have them to begin with. Lesson learned the hard way unfortunately. read more

Lady was very rude to me when I went to drop off 09/19 and pick up 09/22. When I asked for a receipt she actually got offended, "Okay, fine... there!" She then literally slapped the receipt on the counter. She then stormed off. Very negative attitude toward me. Been coming here since August of last year. Just moved to the area and I take 8 button-down Express shirts every week or so. Because I love this brand and these shirts must be dry-cleaned, I've been going to the dry cleaners for a few years consistently. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to find a dry cleaner that's affordable and does great work. The staff is always friendly, personable and remember you by name. I've been taking my work clothes here for about a year now. I've never had any real problem with dry cleaning services. Once they were a little heavy handed with starch on one shirt but that's it. They recycle wire hangers (other than campfires, I don't know what else to do with these). Staff is always super friendly. I've had a pair of slacks hemmed and they did a great job. Prices aren't the best, but IMHO they are reliable and friendly and that's what makes this my go-to. read more
