He spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what exactly I needed to get my Firestick to hook to my home theater system, but be able to play sound through the Bose system, not the projector, which made the sound quality very tinty and not exceptionally as loud as I wanted it. After buying two different cords, and finding out neither would work, I headed here for answers. And thankfully, the employee here was terrific and knowledgable. The only drawback was that they didn't have the part I needed, but he even went through the trouble of looking up the item on Amazon, and telling me which one had the best price that would work for it. Looking around, it's fun to see all the different gadgets and upgrades you can do to your house, appliances, entertainment systems. It's easy to get sucked into buying stuff you don't need here. I'm so untech savvy, and I'm so glad I was able to have Best Buy come to my rescue.

Why even suggest you have VIP service for those that have purchased the Best Buy Total Service plan? There was only the feeling of being an annoyance not a customer.

About 1 year ago I dropped my phone and cracked the inside screen. I did not bother to get it fixed. Fast forward to the end of June 2026 and I went on vacation...to the beach...in Florida. I don't know what it was but seeing clear blue water just captivated me. As soon as I get to the beach, I go in the water, with my phone in my pocket. I sat in the water for less than 10 minutes until I realized it WAS in my pocket. At first I thought, 'oh it's okay, my phone is slightly water resistant?' Until I then remembered that I had cracked a screen on the phone the year before making it NOT WATER RESISTANT. I turned the phone on and saw it was working so I shut the screen off. I checked again and my phone had died. In a panic, I went to a nearby market and bought rice and put it in there. Later after checking, it was recommended to NOT do that, but the damage was done. About a week later I finally get home. It would be another week until I start doing research online as to where to take my phone. No matter where I searched, It was recommended to take my phone to GeekIT. Thankfully, I went with my gut based on the research I did. The internals of my phone were corroded from the saltwater, but GEEKIT was able to clean and save my device. Thank you for fixing it and being honest as to what was needed and working with me to get the best possible results that I wanted. GEEKIT helped me dodge a big bullet.

My iPhone wasn't charging and the cable didn't seem to seat right. I tried cleaning out the port, but no luck. Took the phone in, expecting to pay for a new port. After looking at the phone for a couple of minutes in the back room, I was told "it's all taken care of now". There was some lint wrapped around one of the side contacts. No charge, no waiting, no run-around. I offered to pay something and was told that there was absolutely no charge. I so stunned that I failed to get the name of the gentleman that helped me, but once again - thank you so very much!

As a new employee you can tell he is still in training but it is obvious they have hired a great employee in him. I knew the battery would cost me $49.99 but was surprised to hear that they charge $19.99 on top of that for labor. I got a written estimate and left knowing they would call me when it was ready. I received a call within about two hours telling me my phone was ready. When I walked back in Tyler was the only one in the front working. When he went to ring up my charge it was almost $82 instead of the $73 I had been quoted. Tyler apologized profusely and said he had not added in the $6.99 parts processing fee. As a new employee he is still learning but this really annoyed me since I was already irritated that there was an additional labor fee that I wouldn't be paying at the Apple store. Since he was new and felt really bad I just paid my bill and left. I received a survey from them a few days later and expressed why I wasn't a happy customer. I received a call from the manager, Ryan, wanting to follow up on my survey. I returned the call a few days later when I got back to town from a trip. I was told I would get a call back from Ryan that night. I never heard from him. A few days later I called again and was pretty annoyed. Ryan was very apologetic and wanted to make things right. This is why they ended up with five stars from me. I felt like Ryan really listened to what I had to say and accepted responsibility for their error. He wanted me to be a happy customer and wanted to step up and fix where they dropped the ball. As a customer, I know places are going to mess up. What is important to me is how they handle their mistakes and I feel Ryan and Simply Mac did a great job with that. I would go back.

They seem to have everything for Apple users in stock. I was surprised at the negative reviews here - maybe I catch the PeachMac folks on their good days.
